The link by PEPI is to an older version of a rooting toolkit which was developed here at XDA by Doomlord.
Here's the thread (contains a much newer version): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1320350
Maybe it is old, but works very well on latest firmware update

sure, no sweat, I just thought it better to link to the original source - especially since it's here on XDA. Also, the blogpost in your link does not give credit to Revolutionary Team for the exploit, nor to DooMLoRD for the toolkit...

If you are going to read his post and his date & time of post it was for .58 LWW so it's a no for .62
At the moment there's no way to root .62 unless you unlock your bootloader or load the modded .62 rom if you're from .58.
Ok guys, thanx for helping,
problem solved.

No oneclick yet, you need to unlock the bootloader then flash a prerooted system.img that matches your firmware. There is a guide in the stickies further up in this very forum

[Q] easy root for xperia s

Hi, my xperia s is coming in tomorrow and im really excited. I know I should check forum first but im on my mobile and it is hard to do it. But is there a root method for xperia s without unlocking bootloader? Like similar to zergling rush for arc ?
Thank you
Sent from my LT18i using Tapatalk 2
U have to unlock the bootloader to use flash, then you can relock it again after the firmware+stock ROM installation.. XDA has a thread based on it. Be sure to check it out =)~

There is two other ways to rood your phone
1- unlock the bootloader then flash a custom kernel which has a built-in recovery and flash a pre-rooted firmware
2- downgrade to .314 firmware which is rootable or any other rootable firmware(must be android 4.4 or 5) then search for "Xperia root kit" and root your phone then install dual recovery and flash lastest prerooted stock rom which is .291
PS:both ways will clear your data
