[Q] Individual App Vibrate Permissions - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I believe that a recent android update has made it so when your phone is in vibrate mode, all apps will have their notifications vibrate even if you uncheck the box within a specific app. Is there any way I can disable specific apps from vibrating during their notifications when my phone itself is in vibrate mode? Thanks

[Q] Question about vibration alerts / sound

I have litening Rom 5 installed & running Go Launcher. I notiiced that when I was receiving text messages or when it was on silent I did not get the vibration alert. I then changed the settings so that the its set to vibration always and the icon appears on the top. However when I go into the pull down screen the sound icon is gone?
All I want is to be able to put the phone in silent and it will vibrate when I receive a text message or a phone call. The same goes when its not in silent. Also how can I tell if phone is in silent mode as its not given me the sound icon on the pull down menu?
Is it something simple I am missing more than likely
Confused
If the option in Dropdown menu is missing then just hold Power button, you will see the first option as Silent mode/Sound is Off/On.
And I didn't get you clearly on the SMS vibration part, just make sure that 'Vibrate always' is enabled under Settings- Sound- Vibration.
Regards.

How can I get my phone to vibrate when receiving a text?

So I have been having this problem since I got my phone. I can set my phone to vibrate in the setting yet it refuses to vibrate when silent or when receiving a text message. The examples work in the settings but fails to actually happen in a real life situations. I tried installing Sms Pro to fix this yet it still doesn't work.
With a text message or something else like Google Talk? Mine will vibrate with a new text message using the stock app.
Go to the main conversation page in messages -> menu -> settings -> notification settings -> change the vibrate settings to your liking. For some reason the vibrate settings for messages is separate from the global settings for notifications in the main settings of the phone.

Thank you for the help but i have set it in the notification setting in sms pro and it has done nothing. Also there is no option for vibrate in the stick messaging app's settings. I have juice defender installed i thought maybe that could be contributing to it though when disable it still wont vibrate. I appreciate the help but i'm kinda at my wits end with this.
Just checked and you are right, there is no vibrate setting in the stock messaging app. However, if you select the option "display notifications in status bar" it uses the vibrate setting from the main phone settings - all status bar notifications do.
I just sent myself a text message and it definitely vibrates.
lol I am trying to figure out how to disable message virbation...
Setting>sound>vibration> Always/Never/Only in silent mode/ only when NOT in silent mode ... mines set on always and it always vibrates lol

Exactly. When "display notifications in status bar" is set in the messaging app, the main phone settings will enable - or disable - vibration. For better or for worse this means you can't turn it on or off for texts w/o also turning it on or off for all other status bar notifications...
Handcent is working for me, with customizable vibration.

Jelly Bean Notification Vibrations

Hey guys so I was wondering if there's a way to manage the notifications for apps separately. From what I understand this is a new feature of 4.2. I know I can get around it in liquidsmooth but I'm now back on touchwiz and would like a work around.
So here's the issue...
When in vibrate mode all notifications vibrate if the app's settings have sound notifications on. It doesn't matter if I uncheck vibrate in the app's settings.
What I would like to do is...
Be able to be in these three modes
1) silent mode - every notification is silent
2) vibrate mode - my texts, Google voice, Facebook messenger, and hangouts notifications vibrate, NOT my emails and various push notifications
3) sound mode - all notifications make a sound
This has been possible in previous versions of android and in aosp roms but haven't found a way to in touchwiz yet, haven't even found an app to manage notifications. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I have been searching high and low for a work around, no luck yet.

Way to delay when notifications appear for certain Android apps?

I am looking for an Android setting or a 3rd party app to delay notifications from appearing for only certain apps. For example, I don't want to see any notifications from Facebook or Whatsapp while I am at work. I do want other notifications to come through like normal; I just want Facebook or whatsapp notifications to be held and only appear later when I am no longer at work.
Ideally this would be done automatically based on time, GPS location, or both. Alternatively, "notification delay mode" could be toggled manually, for example, by pressing a widget.
Is this possible?
I tried using the sleep mode widget in Light Flow, checking "exclude from sleep mode" for apps whose notifications I want to see, and leaving the box unchecked for Facebook and WhatsApp. Notifications for all apps continued to come through even with sleep mode enabled, so that didn't work.

Question Realme GT 5G - a few functionality issues

Hello,
I have been the owner of the Realme GT 5G phone for 2 weeks - it has Andoird 11 (v RMX2202_11_A.11) with realme UI 2.0. I spent hours trying to configure a few things, but I failed. As I didn't get the desired results, I decided to try to find help on the forum.
So, starting from the beginning:
1. I have a problem with the Facebook Messenger app, because when I work in vibration mode, notifications coming from the app are only signaled with a very short and delicate vibration. This vibration lasts for about 1 millisecond, which I can barely feel when I'm holding phone in my hand and expecting the notification. I checked vibration for notifications from other applications and they work properly.
a) I have all notification settings turned on in the Messenger app.
b) In settings -> Sounds and vibrations -> vibration intensity -> the sliders for the vibration with the ring and the vibration with the notification I have set to maximum
c) Battery settings for Messenger app are "optimization off"
When I have ring mode on, the Messenger notifications are properly signaled with a sound.
So what is wrong with vibration pattern for this app? Why the notifications are not properly signaled? What can I do to get normal vibration notification?
2. I have 2 games in "Game space app", version of the app is 4.5.27_6d29cc7_210603.
a) When I'm using app #1 - the Messenger chat bubbles are on top of the app, so I can see them for the entire time <- and that's what I would like to achieve.
b) When I'm using app #2 - the Messenger chat bubbles are hiding under the app #2, so I have to show the navigation bar (swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen), to see chat bubbles on the screen.
In settings for Messenger I have set "Display over other apps" as on.
Which setting is responsible for this feature?
3. Another problem with notifications from some apps (inter alia: Gmail, and game #1).
I'm using original Always On Display mode.
The problem is that some notifications don't come when the phone is locked and Always On Display is working.
Notifications from text messages, calls, facebook messenger or game #2 arrive normal, at the time of their receipt.
But from Gmail or game #1 notifications only arrive when I press the power button and wake up the screen. So when the screen is locked, there are no chances to get notification from those apps. This is silly because notifications are there to notify you of an event when you are not using your phone. But in this case, they only notify when the phone is in use.
a) Battery settings for these apps are "optimization off", "allow auto startup", "allow background activity".
b) In notification settings these apps have all settings on. They can notify everywhere and everytime but that doesn't solve the problem.
What else can I do, to receive these notifications on time?
Thank you for your help
