[Q] Infinite scrolling ability? - Themer General Discussion

I've been having quite a bit of fun with Themer, but it is rather annoying....is it possible?

The HP Touchad Themes Thread

Found a nice theme in preware called: "Glass Effect Suite - for Touchpad" Look it up and check it out!
Post other themes found to work on the Touchpad and post them here, I plan to update op often with links.
Mods, suggest to make sticky for easy findings.

i searched and couldnt find it
I can't find this theme either.
It`s called "Glass Effect Suite - Touchpad" and you can find it in WebOS Quick install under "Themes" tab.
I can`t see any differences to standard theme except a ****ty wallpaper with text "muahaha".
Bad joke ?
yeah, I don't see the difference except that it makes the apps window translucent.

It's a simple theme that changes some menu backgrounds, launcher background, and a couple other little tweaks. It's not meant to be a full-fledged theme... Just replaces some rather boring UI elements.

I think you meant "Glass Effect Suite - Touchpad". As far as I'm aware, my theme is the only one available for the Touchpad at this moment. I'm hoping other people start putting out some of their own work soon...

I dont have a Touchpad yet so i still cant experiment on it. Do you mind sharing some info on how to make a theme for it?
switcheroo lite
switcharoo light on HP market has been my favorite so far. The background changes every 10 15 or 30 minutes not sure on the timing, but every time I turn on my baby, a new background is there and I get that ooooohhh effect, I like that one... Nice change to live or constant background that usually is used. My 2 cents worth. Oh love preware program. Used it to make changes to improve speed etc on touchpad like the internet articles are saying.
lovin my touchpad......

You are right!! Sorry... Will fix... You don't mind I called you out do you? I mean, it was for a good reason!!!
We do need more themes... I think everyone's just waiting for android but we could def use some webos themes....
If you can't notice the changes... Ah... #iWon'tFlame... HAHA
Great theme!
No, I don't mind. lol
Glad you're liking the theme. It doesn't change a lot, but it's not supposed to. Glass Effect Suite exists to simply improve the UI of*webOS. Everyone is*free to use the images in their own theme as well.

Figured this was the best thread to post this preview of my new theme...
nice work! Just the slight change in the current one is nice... +1
Subtle, I like it.

Kudos to you for your work!
I loaded it up as soon as I got Preware rocking. I like it a lot, but not all wallpapers look good behind it, when you are in the app drawers. I do wish it had adjustable opacity with a specific base tint maybe.
So I'm installing the themes through WebOSQuickInstall-4.3.0.jar but they never actually change the look of the device. Is there some other way that I should be installing them or activating? (I'm feeling quite stupid here...)
My understanding is there should be a themer link in the Tools dropdown, but see attached for what I'm currently getting. I have v.4.3.0, is this the correct one for the Touchpad?

Push the globe when your TP is connected, then go to "Themes" tab. Searching Touchpad only has the two themes mentioned here though. After you choose to install, make sure to reboot Luna, either via device or Linux commandline option "reboot luna".

I wish that was possible too... In those areas, the only way to change the appearance is to swap images. I'm not able to edit the code that controls it.

Garrett I'm loving the new theme. Glass has been great and is still on the girlfriends but the blackness is my preferred. Thanks for the updates too. Can't wait for lockscreen 20cents in paypal so I'll owe you,)

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that Metro Effect Suite was updated to v0.5.1.
What's new in v0.5.1?
- New quick-launch background
- New app menu background
- Tiles now wrap to a new line if there are more than five in a row
- Lots of small tweaks to improve formatting and visuals

[Q] Feature Request re Home Screens

Hey, really enjoying this app so far. This may already exist and I've just missed it and if so, I apologize, but I was wondering it it would be possible to implement the following:
Endless scrolling of screens
Allowing rearranging of home screens
If this is already in there, can you share how to do it?
Thanks!
If you mean continuous scrolling I agree would be a great feature, love the program been playing away releasing a theme very soon
same here.

Hi jrtoastyman, we are aware of these features and they're definitely on our list for features to add :victory:

A feature I'd like to see on home screens

There are a few themes now on themer that do a lot of clicking to go screen to screen but scrolling is still possible to go to the screens, so I would like to see an option now to disable scrolling for the home screens to make this more effective.
Unless it is already on the app then can someone show me how to do it?

This is a good suggestion, we'll definitely add it to our list!
I would just like to bump this back up, in the event that it was forgotten about...I would still like to see this feature sooner or later...
This is a cool feature :good:
we have been waiting a while for this one,and again to reiterate it is a needed feature

Sent an email to the developers again to see how easy it will be to implement. Features like this sound easy to implement, but in reality it might take a week straight to get right, and in that time the developers could be fixing a ton of bugs and adding in performance improvements. We'll keep you informed though!

[Q] Themer settings

First I'd like to say thanks for this awesome app, the theming process is so flawless. But after that when I want to add something to the screens it becomes hard. The grid size on the screens seems so weird.
I think I need some documentation on setting up homescreens, and using everything widget. I couldn't find much on support site, can you direct me to one?

Hi, Themer will only look into custom DPI support in the future, as right now it's an extremely intense feature to implement. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Any thoughts about multi DPI at the moment? It is the only thing holding me back from using themer as my daily launcher... .. .

Hi,
Unfortunately this is one of the hardest problems to overcome. Themer's internal structure works very differently compared to other launchers (such as Nova) meaning that even adding something seemingly simply like transparent notification and navigation bars is immensely difficult. Multi DPI is even harder to implement, and that mixed with the percentage of users who have multi DPI enabled on their phone puts it on our to-do list, but not very high up.
Once we have more resources however we'll definitely look at what can be done. We are working on ways, it just takes a very long time. Sorry about that!
