Are you on Kit Kat already?
I not download http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50495690&postcount=1 that's a stock Sprint Kitkat that you can flash via Odin in the Pda slot.
Then download http://download.chainfire.eu/352/CF-Root1/CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.zip?retrieve_file=1 and flash that via Odin that comes in the package. This package will root you
Then you can download the app I posted above and it will flash custom recovery for you.
After this you can flash any Kitkat rom of your liking. Or you can stay with the stock Kitkat

I just tried rooting my phone using Odin and was expecting phone to reboot. It didn't and instead is stuck in Download Mode after flashing the required .tar file. I cannot get to the home screen or anything like that. I have also searched for the stocked kernel from Samsung on their website to see if I can flash that using Odin. The only thing that shows is the download for Kies. My phone will not be recognized by Kies either.
I have a Telstra GT-19305T

If you used cf root just re-flash with auto reboot unticked, when the flash has finished, pull battery, reboot into recovery, and this should trigger installation

I did use the wrong file :/
I used the CF-Auto-Root-m0-m0xx-gti9300.tar.md5 to root instead of CF-Auto-Root-m3-m3zh-gti9305.tar.md5
Now I can't get out from downloading mode.
I did try to Re Flash with CF-Auto-Root-m3-m3zh-gti9305.tar.md5, pull the battery and then enter Recovery mode, but nothing I jusr got to the recovery mode screen. nothing else..
What else can I try?
Thanks in advance!

Just like stated. You have an older version cwm installed and you need to update to the newest one. I had the same problem. I solved it by putting the newest cwm zip file on my external SD. The booting into can and installing the new cwm from external SD.

If you look above your previous post ... Halo 13 ghost tells you. But to save you time. Download the newest cwm zip file. Bout into recovery and flash it. You could also install TWRP instead. My personal choice of recoveries. If you go with TWRP use 2.3.3 version due to issues with the latest.
You can use Odin if you get the tar file or your existing recovery for the zip.

Are you certain that you have the latest ClockworkMod Installed? You must flash it through the recovery. If so and CM10.1 still doesn't flash redownload it and try again. Also make sure that you are following all of the steps correctly.

I recently went through the process of trying to update my recovery rom (yes, all rooted up already!).
The problem I was running into was while the tools (TWRP manager, ROM Manager, Goo Manager) all said the recovery was flashed successfully it wasn't.
During the course of my many attempts (which included some hangs, removal of the battery, etc) all of a sudden the updated recovery ROM appeared!
I have no idea what sequence of events resulted in the right behavior, either the tools are not really flashing properly, or there is some black magic (more likely) process which is restoring the recovery ROM.
What's the proper process to change/update your recovery ROM?
Sure yo are rooted but what firmware are you on, unless you're on mdk you can't flash recovery. So if your firmware says me7, mi1, or mj7 you're sol (ull find it under baseband in the about phone setting)

Just tried this process to upgrade to newest CWM recovery 6.0.4.7 (currently on 6.0.4.4). COuldn't update via rom manager (again says it flashed successfully but still running old version).
When I run the install-cwm.cmd script in that loki package, I get a permission denied when it tried to run the loki.sh script on my phone.
Any more ideas??
