Hi, My Micromax Canvas HD's battery was draining very quickly. So, I purchased a new battery but no success. I searched google and came to know that battery needs to be calibrated after flashing a new ROM and i also updated my canvas hd from 4.1.2 to 4.2.1 JB. For calibrating, device needs to be rooted. So, I rooted my device. Now, this is the point where i am confused. There is an app on playstore "Battery Calibration" by NéMa. I downloaded the app and followed all the instructions in the app about calibrating the battery. This app deletes batterystats.bin system file to calibrate the battery. After calibrating through this app, I saw some improvement in battery but i noticed that battery power goes down at normal speed upto 65% but after that, it goes down rapidly. What is the problem? If i am using wrong method to calibrate the battery, then please give me the correct & best one. Thanks in advance.
Calibrate your battery when it is below 15%. Then use battery below to 5%. Then charge till 100% without any brake. It may solve your problem.
Hit thanks if my help works for you.

Boot into recovery, then go to advanced and reset battery stats, then reboot. Use your phone until the battery dies then fully recharge. If this doesn't fix the issue, you may have a bad battery.

Have you Tried to Recalibrate the Battery?
Sometimes the phone battery monitoring gets out of sync and the remedy is to recalibrate the battery.
You can either try one of the available apps in the Android Market or you can do some manual steps available online(just search for Android Battery Recalibration).
Here is one example, scroll down to Battery Calibration section: http://www.darkyrom.com/community/index.php?threads/guide-battery-life.2551/
I tried wiping the battery stats and calibrating as well but what worked for me was:
1. Charge for at least 4 hours to ensure a full charge
2. Unplug, turn off, and then pull the battery
3. While battery is out, plug charger back in and wait for the battery icon with the question mark.
4. Reinsert the battery (results will vary here, mine comes up as 5% for some reason)
5. Unplug the charger and then plug it back in, it should show as 100% now
6. Turn on while plugged in, wait until fully booted and then unplug from charger (it should read as 100% or 99%, depending on how your battery gauge works)
This is just what worked for me, I am running Navalynt's pi-crust (based on AT&T 4.5.91) so please be careful and research if there would be any issues with other ROMs

I have a problem.
Since I bought a 1350 mAh battery for my Xperia Mini Pro, my mobile don't show me the right battery status
When I tried charging it first time it stucked by 81% and didn't charged more.
And now my mobile doesn't charge more then 79% and always shut down by itself.
Then I tried to use my old battery again (which now doesn't load more 86%) und stucked there. Like 3-4 hours just 86% when I used it. Then it shutted down.
Does anyone know how to help me?

Wipe battery stats and calibrate battery (apps from Google Play) after the full charge
Can you Show me a good calibrate app?
I use BatteryCalibration from Google Play and it works perfectly!
I have wiped battery stats but after that I wasn't able to use my new battery normally.
It always shutted down although I had full charged.
Anyone know how to help me?
So many times it was here and still same. delete batery stats is just myth. If you dont belive go check source code and good luck.
And yeah, if you have problem battery like this just try charge batery to full (ignore % on mobile and keep battery about 2 hours on charger then you discharge and you will see. If dont help few cycle there be problem with battery. But wipe stats even in 1 day of month on midnight cant solve self this. Btw this kind of problem i saw on many older phones w/o android and also working this.
Hey and tell me, what exactly doing this calibrate apps? Some kind of placebo effect or changing chemistry in battery?

Hello,
i just noticed that for some reason my battery stats with omega v11 rom are gone.
Have no idea when this could have happen but not longer then two days ago it was all in place.
Is there a way i can troubleshoot what coused this problem? Anyone noticed anything similar after, say something specific installed on? As of my example i didnt flash anything specific before i noticed this bug.
Thanks for you help
Hi, I had the exact same display after flashing the latedt official samsung furmware, even the CPU time was identical. I removed battery for a couple of minutes then did an uninterrupted charge to 100 % overnight, the next morning I unplugged and the stats returned as normal
Good luck, it should work.

philby123 thanks for the info. I still have 48% of juice so will try your method this evening.
cheers
FYI taking out the battery and replacing it after couple of minutes doesnt change anything...
Put phone on charge to 100%
. Reboot phone and use it battery stats are rebuilt .
That is if you mean the battery stats .
If you mean the settings / battery application then that is not battery stats .
In which case reflash the rom .
jje
thanks folks.
it worked what was described in post 2.
fully recharged the phone (while it was off) and usage stats came back to life.
Great

Sir,
I Am Using Canvas HD From Last 2 Months. The Battery Backup Was Awesome Till First Month, But When I Update My Handset To 4.2.1 At Service Center, My Battery Gave More Backup For First Two Days,But Later On When I Changed Reboot/Power On,My Battery Percent Moved From 50-60% to 15% And Indicated To Conect To Charger. Then When I Fully Charged My Battery...It Is Now Getting Drained Faster Than Before. For One Day, I Used My Friend's Canvas HD Battery In My Handset,But Problem Persists.
Now, My Battery Takes Longer Time To Charge,And Gets Discharge Faster.
My Battery Has No Problem,Coz Its Gives Good Backup In My Friend's Handset. So There Might Be Some Problem In My Handset.
Yes,I Used Samsung Charger Couple Of Times...Then I Discontinued Using It.
Please Help ASAP..!!
Same problem man...

Turn off your device and remove the battery. Put it back after a few minutes. Should solve the problem. Works for me.
And use only the supplied charger.
I have a problem with the battery percentage of my device, it drops from 60% - 15% but after i reboot the device it goes back to 60% and rapidly decreasing by 1% per minute until it reaches 1%. Even if it's on 1% the real charge of the battery is still there, it last for almost half a day, i just wanted to know the real charge of my phone. I don't know how to fix this i already tried calibrating but it doesn't help i also tried using new battery and flashing to stock rom but the problem still exist.
You could try wipe battery status from cwm when your battery is full it solved my issue.
Just hit thanks if I had helped you.
