Hi guys, did some digging last night, couldn't find anything... Asking now because time is a factor as I currently have no phone coverage...
I purchased a Note 3 with SlimKat on it last night. Had sprint check the ESN and it's fine, we tried to activate it but only the internet (Data) portion of the phone will activate. I can't get the actual phone service to activate. (Your account can not be validated. <--error message over the phone when trying to make any call)
Here are my questions:
1. Is there a way to force a refresh on slimkat so I can activate it? Or to manual go in and change the settings?
Sprints ## codes don't work with this OS.
2. Where can I find a factory Sprint rom (or one that is known good and will activate?)
I have TWRP and used it to clear the phone and re-instal SlimKat and the small app package they have with it.
Please help as I am running out of touch and need to contact some people for work today.... Thanks in advance.

You will be better off wiping the phone then install stock Unrooted kit kat then activate. Once you activated root and then flash what you want.

That would be great, how? I would be happy to do so.
1. Can I use the loader I already have on the phone to instal it?
2. Where can I find it?
I looked all over last night trying to find a "Factory Rom" and all I came up with were spam sites and fake down loads....
Sorry, kind of new at this and just want the phone to work...

Turns out this had it integrated in the zip as part of the one click. It's not Odin by itself but with the rom built it (it seems)

Did you ever try Changing your "network mode" within Settings?
( 1 )Settings
( 2 )More Networks
( 3 )Mobile Networks
( 4 )Network Mode
By default the SlimKat network mode is set to some incorrect setting. Being as SlimKat is an unified build you need to select the correct network type or "mode" select the LTE/CDMA/EVDO

Just a heads up, I'm on tmobile's $30 prepaid plan, and I was able to use wifi calling and it didn't use any minutes. I was also able to use google voice as my voicemail. Everything's running good so far.
EDIT: I guess there was a lag on the tmobile website, they did deduct minutes from me. Sorry for posting wrong information! I can confirm google voice working on this plan.

Are you sure it didn't use any minutes? I was running the stock ROM since it was pulled from the T-Mobile version and posted in the T-Mobile Note section (I posted a CWM zip of the ROM without some of the bloat) and I didn't notice that wifi calling usage didn't count against my minutes. AFAIK, wifi calling isn't free on their prepaid plans, and native call forwarding to Google Voicemail isn't either? Of course I never did figure out how to see a call log on T-Mobile's account site so I'm never sure how they are actually billing my 100 minutes a month and I might have missed something. It would be awesome if it didn't actually count!

yep WI FI calling works perfectly but as stated in Tmobile website it uses the minutes available in your plan, so not really free minutes (at least on the $30 100 mins unlimited web and text plan)

This could be a daily driver, except for SMS not being able to send. We are going to need help to be able to use CM11 on our devices. I am going to flash this again, in a day or two and get a logcat. I'll post it here in hopes that someone can help us figure out what the problem is.

The data dropping is also an issue for their phones, and the devs seem to be getting a handle on it. The SMS issue is ours, alone. As such we will need help from someone with a DE to solve, I suspect.

In the OP I posted a link on how to access APN. Quoted here > "OK so I was messing around in settings under mobile networks when I pressed carrier settings it immediately FC's settings but when I went back in mobile networks I got two notifications (just ringtone) and I now have access to my APN settings. Weird huh anyone else done this?
Edit: I have to hit ok on the fc prompt and go back into mobile networks before the notification sounds. If I'm fast enough the access point names won't be greyed out anymore"
Be sure to click "save" before exiting editing APN.
This does work. But after changing APN to VZWinternet, we still have the same two problems, i.e. can't send SMS and can't hang up from a phone call.
The problem is not with APN settings. These affect data, LTE, 4g, mms, etc. And we can edit APN for VZW.
I suspect the root of the problem lies in build.prop commands. I made a few changes to build.prop related to network, radio and ril. Result was either no effect or would not boot. This is too complicated for me....
First off, sorry if this has already been posted. If it has, moderator please delete. I did a quick look and didn't see it but may have missed it.
On to the good stuff, it seems like a few people have Touchwiz Lollipop 5.0 booting on a couple different Note 3 variants with the Snapdragon. I'm not a dev and don't really have the means to try this right now but here is the thread with all the info. Hopefully a dev or some brave soul can check this out on our Sprint devices and see what's up. I would love to have a nice custom Lollipop ROM before the new year! Good luck to any who try! I flashed Echoe creation N3 Lollipop v21 (now v22 is released) from this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2495688
Things that do not work for me are:
1) WiFi does not work initially. A WiFi&Bluetooth fixed it though
2) screen mirroring still does not work with my Samsung smart tv. It was not working on 4.4.4 previously and I was hoping Lollipop can fix it, but no luck.
3) video taking still does not work.
4) Nextradio/fm is not working anymore. It was working on Stock 4.4.4 Rom.

Texting works fine here, as does my sd card? maybe check and make sure it's using the right APNS?
went to work and internet stopped working! seems the included APNS don't work very good. I created my own and it came right on. I'm using ST sim
How did you change the apn a walk through would be greatly appreciated.
settings, more networks, mobile networks, access point names,
I deleted all that was there, and hit the + button at the top....then fill out ur APNS, and hit the three dots on the right and save...
I don't get the option to change my apn all I get is just to change the lte modes and change auto to home sethings

It will run, the problems are with the data/verizon. It does not run as well as MOL or darkload tho..which those both have verizon network problems too though.

Don't know about the verizon part, I'm using a straight talk sim, on ATT and it works GREAT! the only problem is that it doen'st mount SD card when connect to the PC! other than that the rom has been reliable for me!
