you can only use 64 bit windows 7 to unlock! i have windows phone 8 lumia 520 and windows 7 64x bit and i have unlocked it without the developer unlock! If you want i can share the method with you?
i have deployed many apps on it ! like temple run 2 , root tools, bazaar and many paid apps for free

bro you're right it's the Chinese application and btw root tools are simply not available for wp8 devices and it's only for wp8 devices!

Step2:download the software in your WP device(http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/s...ers/178ac8a1-6519-4a0b-960c-038393741e96),and run it.Then just sign in,after that you go to "setting--Phone's Update"to check,then you'll get a update to be ready to update to WP8.1.
Step3:when you update it successfully,you have to go to "setting--Phone's Update" again to get the final update.It's about 1Gb, so be sure to make your device obligate at least 1.5GB freedom(P.S. it will costs 1hour to finish it),then have fun with WP8.1!

You have to have Windows 8 on your PC to install tolls for WP8. Im pretty sure.

you must extract windows3.1 installation iso image to /sdcard/winsetupfiles in order for this to work, you can just google the iso and you'll find it , i will also post some pics

As I understand it uses dosbox for android (app) to install it to the sdcard so android should not bee effected.

Of course you can, you run windows 3.1 in an dosbox on top of android, you just click the options button and click exit dosbox, and you're back on android

I can't since XDA can not allow it, but you can google for the image, or even beter, if you have original 3.1 cd, just copy the files to sdcard

Yes that right but windows is booting about 10 minutes on real PC with 128MB RAM so it will be worse on our x8 with pc emulator.
SO if you have enough patience then you can try.

I'm not sure, but you could try doing the same steps mentioned in the tutorial posted here, except instead of windows 3.1 iso you get the one here: http://wdp.dlws.microsoft.com/WDPDL...CD2/WindowsDeveloperPreview-32bit-English.iso
Though it's likely that it won't work at all since a lot has changed since windows 3.1, even if technically the hardware would be enough.

It's impossible. Windows is closed source and you won't be able to port it to our devices!
But you can always use a windows launcher from the playstore

Because it is impossible to make a custom rom based on windows. As I said before windows is closed source so you can't port it to our devices

BTW any XAP deployer won't help you as this is encrypted.

I know how to extract XAP from phone, did you have it installed before because I can't install the encrypted one with any deployer.
I have it in my library, windows 10 mobile. So i instaled it and extracted it.
