AppGratis is an app discovery platform for me to let you know about the coolest apps I find and negotiate just for you... by turning them to FREE! The deals are for 24 hours only though, so you better not miss my app of the day!
3. Who does all the work for AppGratis?
Well, thanks for asking! I'm Sean, nice to meet you! I spend my days searching around Play Store to discover hidden gems that may have gone unnoticed, or to bring you the latest buzz in the world of apps! This is the story of one man with his Android, testing 3 apps at the same time while his cat is trying to climb onto his head... You'll find it all in AppGratis...
4. What will I find in AppGratis?
Every type of app and maybe a bad joke from me! From cool arcade games to logic puzzle apps, from alarm clock apps to currency converter apps, and from translating apps to apps that make useful widgets! Did I mention that I just never stop looking for really cool and useful apps?
i. Frequent "freemium giveaways" like free in-app purchases, level unlocks, and other cool stuff you would normally have to pay for.
ii. Benefit from my huge network of app developer contacts from all over the world to get the best apps out there for FREE!
iii. Every single app is hand-picked and tested thoroughly(by a real human being!).
iv. Only one push notification a day. No exceptions, just a reminder as the app of the day will only be there for 24 hours!
If you've got any questions, declarations, want to propose an app, or you accidentally sat on your phone, I can be reached day or night at [email protected].

Creating an app similar to "CramFighter"

Hey all, I'm looking for an app similar to CramFighter (iPhone app) for android. It's an algorithmic app that takes the books you have to study for the NCLEX and the time you have before the test and populates a calendar with the amount of chapters per book to study per day.
If someone can port this app over or just create a really basic one (Like it asks for the title of the book and the amount of chapters and just populates) I'd be willing to pay for it and so will a million other nursing students who are looking for something similar since CramFighter shows NO android love at all!
If you know of an app similar or some key words to search on the play store that would also help a TON!
Thank you!

Rob J - Freelance App Dev

About Me
I've been doing an Android dev for a while now. My first app was released to XDA in April 2012, and since then I've published 4 apps to the Google Play store (7 if you count the Pro version). All of them are utility or personalization type apps, usually they come about by me wanting my phone to do something and then going off and building an app to do it in one sleepless weekend
Apps
I won't list them all, I'll just say the one I'm most proud of it Send It. Mostly because it was a huge learning curve with so many different api's but also because it's the only one where I actually get thank you emails for saving people money and for Google Voice users who it helps bridge the gap to MMS
Currently
I'm working on a rewrite of my first app ReadItToMe along with a Pro version for much needed features (stuff I wanted it to do).
What else
I've just come off a StartupWeekend where I dev'd an app in a single day (and it was awesome) and I also spend a lot of my time networking at various events usually on Google Campus.
Contact
If you have any questions or queries about apps post here or pm or in the app threads, I always respond. If you need help with any dev stuff pm me, the communities been good to me so I like to give back. And not to sound like a sales pitch but if you're interested in hiring pm me and I can give you contact details.

[Q] Kids apps sold within a wide subscription

Hi,
Question for kids apps developers...
I would really appreciate you opinion on this one.
We believe the app store model is not working well when it come to small kids
No niche categorization ( within the “kids” world )
Added value app are “buried” by tons of low value apps
lot’s of sexual & violent apps on app stores
Parents dislike the ongoing pressure to buy or unexpected purchases
MOST importantly to this forum - Good kids apps are NOT rewarding to most app developers (pushed down by mega brands/monetizers)
We would like to offer our audience (close to 1 million kids) a premium subscription based service for parents and reward developers based on real usage (real minutes spent on their app) dividing the revenues among them. so instead of one time compensation, it would be spread over time.
What do you think???
Some more info on our website
BTW- I'm not posting this to sign you up, I'm sincerely looking for your feedback and your expectations from such a service.
Thanks!
Eldad from Kidoz
Good idea.
One of device brend (don't remember what) recently presented "sandbox" mode on their devices. Parents can activate this mode and then kid play without any danger. You could integrate your "market" there But google play policy don't allow to modify apk files via applications...

My new free puzzle game on Android

Cool :good:
Nice game! One little tip: In my opinion the app description in Google Play store is reaaally long, try to make it more catchy! People will be more interested if the description is short and on-the-spot.
One of the many
