Anyone who has tried both that has any thoughts on pluses or minuses? They seem to be the only choices for Note 3 features on Note 2.
I have only tried Nebula, but Skynote RC2 just dropped. So I think I'm going to give it a whirl. I'll report back.
Any thoughts to report back? I'm on SkyNote now, I like it but it is a bigger drain than the stock N2 rom I was using. I want to try N3bula, but I leave for vacation in a couple of days and don't want a phone that has issues.

You can run the debloated version of sky note. My battery life is pretty good with normal use and my screen is on full blast
I haven't been able to get more than 15 hrs on sky note. And that's with some major tweaking (greenify, cpu control, low screen level etc).

With all these news leaks and roms available now it would be nice to know what people get for battery life across the different leaks and roms.
Post a pic of your battery usage and screen on time and what your using to get it
My setup is in my signature
These are the first stats since i started trying anthrax and it was all going good till the second day. i have no clue why
there are a few reasons why i created a new thread:
1.most people werent posting pic but instead just stats
2.the thread was ancient, created in november and the last post was in

I used incredicontrol to undervolt everything by 50 or 75 in incredicontrol. Using stock freqs, and ondemand governor. And used danuntzz's tool to do most of the desensing/debloating.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1382630
I also used Romtoolbox's auto start manager to keep things from opening in the background, it's probably the most helpful app I've used. Thanks next I just need the mugen 4000mAh so I'd only need to charge it on the weekends, but that thing is really expensive for a battery.
I thought these were pretty good numbers for locked and stock.

I need to figure out what's wrong with mine. I'm getting results like this with the extended VZ battery. I have to keep it plugged in all the time. Even with 4G disabled (3G still on), no wifi, no bluetooth; most days it will be dead in 8-10 hours.
Currently running 5/1 leak radios (RUU'd last week), running BAMF ICS 2.1 with the kernel that came with the Rom (1512mhz max, 384mhz min). Most syncing besides gmail is disabled.
I'll get a pic whenever i go unplugged again. I'm working remotely this week and am keeping it plugged up during conference calls.

that sounds like a rom from the first ics leak which has bad battery and heat issues (for some). so yeah try a newer one
So after 2-3 weeks of playing with stock ics rom which i update over the air, i decided to root and install custom roms. I flashed Speed Rom 4.0. However, I feel like that the stock ics rom battery is just better than the custom rom. My use of amaze for a day is 2-3 hours of listening to music, 2-3 hours of web browsing, 2 hours of gaming ( tower defense ) and that's when I come back home and my stock rom battery is left with about 30%. However, when I flashed custom rom, I notice that my battery drain faster than before and after a regular day of using I only end up with about 10% left. Anyone has insight on such problem like this?

I mostly care that my battery can last through a day. My NRG ROM will give me a day easily, with about 1 - 2 hours of screen on time over the period. A lot of it depends on the strength of the 4G cell towers around you (in my experience); the phone uses more juice when seeking towers. The latest NRG is pretty good at not "hunting" for 4G.
Yeah... Looks pretty common I guess for a phone that's screen was hardly on

So I might be trading my Gnex for an Amaze + cash, but my main concern is battery life. That, and learning a different process of flashing roms/radios, since I've only ever tinkered with Samsung/LG devices.
So my fellow members, what screen on time (best way to measure battery life I think) do you guys get? I get around 5 hours on my Gnex. Mention what rom/radio as well if you can.
Sent from someone's Galaxy Nexus running AOKP + Franco
Moderate use on stock, change a few settings, no unnecessary background programs, I get a decent 12-16 hours with moderate use, though to be honest, I text a lot, check my facebook, be on xda and stuff quite a bit. I set my screen timeout to 15s. So you gotta tweak it and mess with it a bit. Some custom roms have reported better life.
On speed Rom I get a full day with 40% to spare with a lot of browsing and playing games through the day, I'm sure you could get that with other roms as well. The amaze has no custom radio or kernel for ics at the moment
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using Tapatalk 2
To be honest I've never measured/calculated my Screen On Battery Life. But total battery time for me is a good 12-16+ hrs.
Also its recommended, but not necessary, to S-Off your device. It makes flashing Roms much easier to flash. But if you don't want to perform that then use 4EXT Recovery and it can flash kernels without the use of fastboot to flash a kernel.
If the Amaze you get isn't updated to ICS then you're better off upgrading first before rooting and etc... Have Fun!

I am just stock ICS and generally get 9-11 hours. Screen is usually on 2 plus hours and do a lot of Internet, XDA, FB and the like. Actually use my phone for phone calls too.
Gingerbread was so much better for me, but used to it now.
That is with Juice Defender on as well.
I will say if not using the phone much, stand by time is phenomenal! I have gotten 24 hours on ICS, but I barely used the phone.

Stock battery. Beans build 13 with perseus 36.2 as the kernel. At this very moment I am at 51% after 16 hours with 3 hrs and 13 minutes of screen time. So far today I've texted a decent amount, surfed the Web and xda, and played some nimble question. These battery stats have been typical for a while now and it's great, my battery lasts me a whole day with lots left over no matter what I do all day so I don't even bother trying to conserve battery

I find the range of battery life we can get on this device really interesting. Here's mine:
1. Stock sometimes anger
2. Mean Bean ice
3. PBJ kernel
4. I typically get almost 4 hours of screen time.
5. I usually keep data off, and use auto of half brightness.
My normal uses are texting a few hours a day, and browsing xda and reddit. Occasionally I play games, but not that often. I get about 26 hours average use.

My guess is because he's gone over a day without plugging the phone in. It all needs to add up to 100% so in that amount of time 25% is probably about right.

Hello, all, since I've had my Note 2 I've been incredibly impressed with the battery live, much better than other droids I've owned. Within the last two weeks or so, however, I've seen a dramatic drop in battery life. Where I used to be able to last a day and a half without charging, The phone is now not capable of lasting through the day. There hasn't been any real change in my usage patterns, but I am constantly trying new apps, so I figured that one of the new ones must be the culprit. The stock battery stats indicated that Android System was consuming about 41 percent of the battery, which based on previous readings and having owned other droids seemed much too high. I downloaded Battery Stats Plus, which indicated hat the rogue app was wssyncmldm, consuming that same 41 percent. I wasn't familiar with this app, but google revealed that it manages ota updates? I tried rebooting the phone, and went back to Battery Stats Plus, which now indicated that same 41 percent, but named the app "Factory Test." I let the phone charge overnight to a full 100, then checking again today, I'm seeing similar numbers. Today Factory Test is listed at about 33 percent. Both apps are active in application manager, and reappear as soon as I force close them. Neither can be disabled on my stock, non-rooted note 2. I've not tried the factory reset just yet, was hoping to avoid that, but wondered if anyone had any suggestions.
Thanks so much, all!!!

I'm not sure how much help I can be, but I'll do my best.
Let's start with the obvious things
1. Try uninstalling any apps that you recently installed
2. In application manager go under all and look for the "wssyncmldm" culprit. I don't have it in my application manager but I have one that is very close in name
3. Have you recently installed any OTAs?
4. Are you rooted by any chance?
5. When I updated to the 4.1.2 update, I had a similar battery issue. I just ended up backing up all my apps with "Helium" (No root required if you plug it into a pc with some directions) and just did a factory in settings. It fixed the battery issue for me, though I never looked into it to see if it was this same culprit.
I hope I can help in some way, I'll try my best though!
Welcome to 4.1.2.. Went from 30 hours to 15....tempted to install a backup of 4.1.1 to see if it comes back. Bad news is 4.2.2 seems worse on battery until you change kernel. I've done it in og DROID but scared to on my note.

Welcome to 4.1.2.. Went from 30 hours to 15....tempted to install a backup of 4.1.1 to see if it comes back. Bad news is 4.2.2 seems worse on battery until you change kernel. I've done it in og DROID but scared to on my note.

Scared to flash a new kernel or flash 4.2.2?

Kernel... I've heard they are the real difference maker.

Well every single one I have used, and I've flashed em all, are excellent. Don't be scared to flash em, the worst that can happen is you'll have a bootloop and you can restore your nandroid. They offer amazing features, some more so than others, and can make your phone run super fast with excellent battery life.

Would you mind posting links on your top 2 or 3? I might give them a shot since I have a nandroid backup.

Perseus, PB&J, and Sabre are probably the top three, not including stock.

I'm not running any rom right now... Just rooted 4.1.2. I've read faux was a good one though.

OK after running the latest faux kernel and adding grennify I'm back to 4.1.1 battery life... Thanks for giving me the push to flash the kernel.
