Issues with the XDA app? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Is anyone else out there having issues with the XDA app force closing on you? I am running Beans /Alliance build 24 right now but have tried other roms and have the same issue. I'm a noob on this forum according to xda but know my way around android and Linux. Any help would be apprieciate.

I am having the same issues and I've read other users reporting the same problems. I think it's just something buggy with the app..... so it's not just you.

Maybe The paid app will be better. I thought I paid for this app but I see that some of the posts here have sent from paid xda app. I'll have to look into it. If that helps it's worth it to me.

 Good thought. I have been thinking about buying the paid app for a little while now… I went ahead and bought it just now. Even if it doesn't work tons better, I still feel good about supporting the developers of the site by purchasing the app.
Take care

Why does XDA app force close?

It happens when I go to open a thread both on my rooted nook tab and rooted kindle tab. Anyone else? Would making it a system app in TB be a good idea or is that not advised?
Thanks and happy thanksgiving everyone!

I cant attest to the if its a good idea or bad idea. But i can tell you that the premium app from amazon appstore is working fine.

Good to hear all is well. The free Xda app has a history on other devices of FC that resolves when the premium version is purchased. (Heck, it's a buck and supports Xda. I've lost more in the clothes dryer!)

Play store

Does anyone know why the apps I've already paid for are showing that I have to buy them again? Titanium, set cpu, etc all say it.

Hm that is weird have you tryed maybe logging in again with your google account. The app sais purchased? Or wants you to buy again?
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using xda app-developers app
It's always said purchased... It does in this Rom as well. I tried flashing 2 roms this morning and they both wanted me to buy them again.

Is it a one time purchase app or one of those that you have to purchase every time you want to re-install it?

What is google now all about?

I didnt understand what is the use of it and what this app can do...

it's an enhanced search.....so assuming you have location services active you can set up cards to feed you information without searching.....so say I walk to the bus stop, when I get there the next 5 bus departures are already sitting on my phone ready to see, .....in short explore the app and be rewarded.
Lots of settings to play and explore, I thought same as you initially, then got to explore it and find it quite useful now
Isn't it obvious?

My ubuntu theme

So I really like how ubuntu looks and since I'm not rooted or unlocked I can't flash anything. So I went ahead and themed my phone using widgets and a custom launcher. This is how it came out.
Here are some screen shots of what I did.

When I get access to a computer I Can link all the apps and widgets I used. Took me about 2 hours to get it the way I wanted.

If anyone wants me to write a detailed procedure on how to set it up I can. Would anyone be interested in this?
