If on Viper MAX ROM.. Go to Viper Tweaks then advance.. then boot on bottom (only boot works this way..down animation doesn't)..
If you want both Boot & Down animations or on other Sense ROM you can manually put in: "System/customize/resource"
Change names as follows:
bootanimation.zip
hTC_downanimation.zip
Then change Permissions to: rw-r--r-- (see screen shot)
[Change Permissions using Root Explorer: Long Press on file then choose permissions]
Then delete (or move to another folder keep a backup) any other animation zip files.
Current Device : HTC One MAX / Retired HTC Devices: DNA, Rezound, Thunderbolt, Incredible, Eris

Looks really cool. I made some bootup gifs since some, including me, are too lazy to flash it and actually see what it looks like.
(Note: It will look different on your device, these are just to get a feel. Also, I think the bootup stops at the "OneX" screen until the device boots.)

would be cool if you could replace the "One" with "Evo 3D" from this logo. couldn't find it bigger though. If you could do it, please remove the beats audio also. thanks!
BTW, i've noticed with the black versions, the green doesn't match the regular HTC green, which is the reason why i've stuck to the white. Anyways, thanks again!

• Download and rename *.zip to bootanimation.zip (check fot right name on your /system/customize/resource dir)
• Copy those files to /system/customize/resource and overwrite the old ones (or yust rename old bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.bak)
• Change the permissions of bootanimation.zip to "rw-r--r--"
reboot phone and enjoy....

I had an idea and make it works, in a simple and elegant way. I created a logo bootloader thay perfectly matches the boot animation's Android M for Moto X 2014.
I took to make a flasheable file .zip with the logo, boot animation and erase the boot animation which is usually in /data/local/moodle

Look in /data/local/moodle If there is a bootanimation.zip there, it will override the one in /system/media (/data/local/moodle is where Moto puts the seasonal boot animations.)

I found that the entire boot animation was not showing on my xt1096 and have created a new bootanimation.zip based on your work with a corrected desc.txt that will display the complete animation. I broke them up into 2 zips, one flashes just the boot logo and the other flashes just the boot animation.

How to change boot logo of power off. Startinf logo and animation flashef and worked fine...looks just amazing.
Tell me to change logo animation while powering off.
