Hi,
Thanks for your work posting these but:
Aren't these all the apps we try to delete from Samsung phones as bloat.
I know I do except for a tiny few. I did install WatchOn because I actually
use it as a remote. It does work!!!
Thanks,Ken

any chance to port the S5 Music player !!!
thanks in advance

Sfinder is kind of an add on for the GS5 notification bar (2nd mod) Change the build prop to get the S5 status bar, then you will see the small "S with a magnifier" next to the time. That opens up Sfinder. Its really simple to do (Pd: I install Sfinder as normal apk without changing permission)

The thing that makes them "bloat" is that we get them all at once whether we like them or not. This way, at least, we can pick and choose. Some can even be installed as User Apps, giving us control over install, backup, and deletion.

I did the build.prop edit for the new nav-buttons and wow .. so much better. As a note, I had to do a cold reboot. The hot reboot didn't load them.
Using Vision-X TW 4.4
Thanks for the tips!

Some themeing does and doesn't work so I'll make a list tomorrow. Also tried Google Music as a work around for it. Just a try let me know if that doesn't work. Sorry for not responding quick, I just released 5 roms on a site today and updated one of my ICS roms. 2 more bugs to push out and I'm done with it!

Testing
I'm loading the ROM currently to help test things out. I'll report my findings. Thanks for all the hard work!
Did notice that the boot to Recovery option in the power menu doesn't boot the Nook into CWM. Would being on CWM v5.5.0.0.4 and not the most current version cause this?
Half owner of the rom and no credits
If you want me to host the rom on the official alienroms.com page i can and also make a newer pic for the nook instead of the kindle fire.

Absolutely, this one right here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2044351
the funny thing is the status bar also has very small spaces at either end(left and right end) where it doesn't quite reach the edge of the screen and also has a slim space on top where the status bar doesn't quite meet the top of the screen but oddly enough this does not show up in the screenshot I posted where it looks as it should. The spacing issue was present before this flash though as I went back and looked at another screenshot I took before the flash. Must have happened from the original mod but I just didn't notice.

Ok never mind my last post, once I navigated to the file in recovery it said .zip so I went ahead and flashed. I think it's a windows thing where it hides the .zip in the filename
Anyway, I flashed and all went well
4 way reboot present
Black status bar present
GPS icon gone(WOOT)
wifi toggle is now present
Only issue is that the ongoing wifi nag is still there, not sure if it was supposed to be gone or not.

i definitely will check that out, but there's nothing like decompiling the SystemUI and framework-res and adding your own touches
Did a clean install all my issues are gone. I have no problems so far it is very smooth and clean. I have to do a new build to get rid of inject twrp and download mode. If you haven't noticed I have twrp default install location to be the SD card. I got tired of navigating to it.

MODS for Darkslide SG4 VRUAME7

Hi people I decided to make a thread with all the mod I made for Darkslide VRUAME7 so it's easier to find.
The mods are for deodex rom Only
- SystemUi with e911 icon removed no gap, blinking acquiring gps icon and solid gps icon when position it's lock.
Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/s5nkglrfhp9sfpy/VRUAME7 e911 icon remove no gap and working gps icon.zip
- Extended power menu Mod ( android.policy.jar) it will give you reboot options, recovery, download etc...
Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6wdlkiipygge2b3/VRUAME7 Extended Power Menu.zip
- Native All apps multiwindow Mod ( flashbarService.apk moded services.jar) if you need more info on this mod send me a PM.
Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/v4g79v7yhet64q0/VRUAME7 AllAppsMultiWindow.zip
- Native tether unlock ( framework-res.apk) this mod will bypass tether activation so you don't have to use a third party app.
It also include the wifi ongoing notification removal mod by rwc95
Note: remember this will replace your existing framework-res.apk be advice.
Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/boo8e10xix1kuzq/VRUAME7 Native Tether Unlock.zip
- Remove Ongoing WiFi Notification Mods for Darkslide VRUAME7 by theresin
Link to the Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2378825
THIS WILL NOT WORK FOR THOSE WHO TOOK THE OTA/OFFICIAL UPDATE!
YOU MUST HAVE ROOT & CUSTOM RECOVERY TO USE THIS!
YOU MUST BE ON A CUSTOM VRUAME7 ROM! (AFAIK Darkslide's is the only one available at this time)
I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. I can't stand Verizon's insistence on forcing an ongoing WiFi notification that takes up so much space. Ugh!

Can anyone confirm the camera lockup when you try to record show motion? Regardless of the speed, after I hit record when setting the camera in slow mo it locks up and freezes. Is there a fix? I already flashed the darkslide kernel.
Edit: fixing permissions seems to have fixed the issue.

UI Changes
v2.1
- Xperia Z2 Battery Icon mod is done!. 3 Icons (normal, charging, low). Its 2in1. I put text inside drawable and colored mod if level < 15! (from white to red)
- KitKat Gradient_Statusbar mod is done! . Thanx & credits go to @kk9999gada
Note: Its ready for Gin2Rom. If you are on stock, just click my signature for
GB SPECIAL! BatteryText% with JB Battery!! signal-%-battery! and do first 2 steps only!
(framework-res.apk modding)
------
v2.0
- dcsms layout is gone, re-wrote tabs with Eclipse and now all ok after reboot. (All appears)
- Two SystemUI apks, for stock and Gin2Roms..
------
v1.1
- Fullscreen added!
------
v1.0
- Used @dcsms 's two layouts smali code and two buttons. Yes, you know tab_layout is not working like real tabs so thats why two buttons are shining..
- As you know, quickpanel background has bugs because of ghost layout. ( I mean CloseDragHandle was animating until the end of notifications.
I thought and found a temporary but good solution for it so its ok for now.
- 15 quick toggle, I re-sized rows for 4-4-4-3 and added brightness slider too.
- Clock is am/pm included.
- Background is %40 dark like 4.4
- CarrierLabel is at bottom like Z2.
- Don't care my statusbar. Its just stock. No changes on top. BatteryText visibility is gone. You can activate it from status_bar.xml or maybe you use my signal-battery%text-batteryIcon mod. Its up to you.
- Bla bla..

SK17i? I had not got an idea that it will fit into yours. where are last 3 icons of toggles? Ara you able to use them too ?
If you use it with Gin2Rom, when reboot, at first stock battery icon appers but gets invisible in a few seconds. Thats normal.

Yeah, it fits. On Gin2 ROM for Mini Pro, all HDPI stuffs are resized to MDPI (I don't know how it works but it works).
Yes, I'm able to use the last 3 icons (just like IMG, right?)
About the battery icon, I thought it was part of your Status Bar, thanks for explanation.
I'm still wishing a transparent status bar, I've tried but failed to get the same effect from Z2.

Its good that icons fit. for a transparent statusbar, it may need smali editing. I dont know the effect of Z2. Maybe I check it later.
Now Im working on putting z2 battery icon and percentage inside it. That will be a great new mod too

Of course it'll be. I'll be waiting for this new mod, and don't worry about transparency, focus on important stuffs first, right?
Offtopic: I have something interesting to GB and I think you can help me (I'll PM you).
