I just rooted my Kindle Fire HD 7 so I am a noob. I have several backup apps including Titanium Backup which I paid for pro version only to find it creates some backup that can only be used with it.
How do I create backups of my apps that are big (i.e. Chrono Trigger) so I can get the apk + obb file?
Thanks.

Im trying to copy my backups of angry birds and other games from my Verizon Galaxy Tab to my SGS 2. Both are rooted and have titanium backup installed. I tried to copy the files over but cant get it to work. I read other threads but none had clear directions for me to follow.
Can someone show me how to copy a titanium backup from my tab to my sgs2 and have the apps work with game data preserved?
Thanks in advance
Put your backup files in /sdcard/titaniumbackup.
If titanium backup still does not see them, then uninstall titanium backup and reinstall it. It should show up.
tried that. I guess im not doing something right.
I copy the file titanium backup from the tab to the sd card on the tab. then I take that file and copy the contents and paste in the titanium backup folder on the sgs2 but it still doesnt move the angry birds stats over. hmm guess i just got to play the levels all over again
But it is seeing the backups? Then try restoring data only after you installed angry birds.
I routinely use Titanium Backup on my Viewsonic Gtab (running a custom HC ROM).
Since I can't root my new Prime, is there a work around to trying to restore some of the apps and data from my old Gtab using the Titanium Backup files?
After searching the forums, I understand that TB saves the apps as APKs and the Data in Zips. It appears that installing the APKs should work fine, but that trying to unzip the data and push it to \data\data folder won't work because the folder is read only and the permissions cannot be changed.
Are there any other apps that can backup and restore data that don't require root?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hi all
is there a backup app that backups ANYTHING to do with the app being backed up?
eg. i want to backup real racing 3 for instance i want settings apk and all the data under android/obb into one container so i don't have to keep downloading the resources every time i need to restore a game app.
i know i can just copy the data but i might miss something so i want a backup app to know what to backup in full..
thanks
Hello,
I would like to make a backup of my Final Fantasy VI save. I need to uninstall the game temporarily (I need space for videos) but I don't want to have to start it all over again.
I know I could use Titanium Backup but the backup will take around 500 Mb on my Nexus 7 (2013) and I'm trying to free up some space. Is there any way to only export the save file and uninstall the game + data?
My N7 2013 is rooted by the way.
Thanks!

Titanium Backup doesn't back up any external SD card data (by defualt, anyway), only the .apk file itself (about 36MB). Or you can simply just backup the app data only.

Root access
go into your data folder and then the folder for ffvi
your save should be in there.
Hi,
I'd like to swap out my kid's Fire HD 6 with another tablet. The only thing stopping me is I can't figure out how to transfer the progress on some of his games to the new device.
I side-loaded Helium, but the app will not start.
If I use the built-in Backup mechanism (to the cloud), does that backup the app data, and can that be restored to another device? I have an original Kindle Fire 7" that I could restore to "factory", and I'm wondering if I could restore the apps to there (then root, then titanium backup the apps/data).
Thanks for any help!
Mike
Hi. I was just wondering if anybody figured this out for future reference. Thanks
