Wi-Fi & GPS unresponsive

I seem to be having a small(or large?) issue with my Wi-Fi connectivity - after rooting my phone it didn't surprise me that I lost GPS functionality, it didn't surprise me that I never got it back but hey I can live without it if it means I don't have to wait for HTC.
What's beginning to bother me is the fact that my phone can't manage a Wi-Fi connection it could 3 days ago.
Tried restoring my 1st nandroid backup that I made immediately after I flashed the custom recovery and I still had no Wi-Fi. And no GPS.
Also I have tried flashing 63.18.55.06JU_6.35.09.26 as well as 63.18.55.06JU_6.35.08.29 with no result on either front.
Please help me out if ya can.
What ROM you using pal?
1st thing to try is to put both your GPS and WiFi on, then turn your phone off and back on again.
I'm currently trying to use SenseHero 2.2
I have tried turning on both WiFi and GPS and rebooting, I have also tried similarly - leaving them on and flashing the radio too...
It doesn't seem to be helping all too much.
Furthermore(and the part that concerns me most) I have tried restoring my initial nandroid, the 1st one I made and saved after flashing the custom recovery and still nothing.
and there's no mention of issues in the Sensehero thread no?
If I was you,....
I'd backup my sd,... Format it. Then run a RUU so it unroots and goes back to stock state,... then see if it is working again or not.
I've been searching threads over as many forums I can find for DAYS. But still a no go..
I suppose I'll try to unroot it. I haven't finished researching the RUU's, does it matter which one I use?
Well apparently unrooting the phone doesn't reinstate the GPS or WiFi connectivity.... GPS still "unable to determine location" and the WiFi still SEES the WLAN networks in range but still cannot connect to any of them.
I can't seem to find anyone else who has had problems with WiFi connecting let alone wifi AND gps problems.

[Q] Wifi error, help?

hey
i searched the site for this problem, and found this error with a few other phones, but not sure if it will have the same effect on my x10.. and at this time of night, im tired of searching,
i tried to install one of Trip's MIUI roms, the TripNRaVer v0.2.4, it said all was working except camera. I installed it with xRecovery, as normal, and when i tried to activate Wifi it just said error.. and when it eventually turned on it said it was unable to scan for networks.
i tried wiping the cache's, reinstalling it, and the same method with Freex10, B3, but it still isnt working...
does anybody know how to fix this problem?
Hmm, it seems to havefixed itself, im not quite sure how but it has.. still if anybody knows the cause of this i would appreciate it

[Q] Elegancia 4.8.0

I've searched through the threads but have found no answers, so hopefully someone here can help. I have an Att one x plus. I downloaded the Elegancia 4.8.0 rom several months ago, which is still working great. It was the first rom I installed. My problem is if I try to update to newest version or even try to install different rom all together everything works and installs but wifi wont turn on. In the the settings it just stays wifi turning on and then errors out. Ive turned off fast boot, tried different rom updates and different roms with same result. I do a restore to original Elegancia and all is good.
Sorry if this has been discussed, I couldnt find it and thanks in advance for any help...
you mean to sy that your wifi did work on the old elegancia? 4.8.0? and the latest i suppose 5.7.0 doesnt allow wifi to work?
Thats correct. The original install works fine. Now any rom change or update, wifi will never turn on. Just says turning on.
well i have the same problem was using ViperXL2.0.0 on at&t sim when i switched it to another sim the wifi doesnt work.i am still looking into the solution. Besides this do you still have the link to the place where you downloaded this rom?

[Q] Wifi cannot go past "turning on" status - Galaxy Grand Quattro

I think I've messed up again. Whenever I try to turn my wifi on, it gets stuck at the "turning on" status and then crashes after a couple of minutes. I have no error messages. It just closes after some time. The last thing I remember I did regarding wifi was to recover a stored password using Wifi Password Recovery App. Then this happened.
My phone is rooted and I have cwm. I've tried basic troubleshooting like power cycling, deleting wpa supplicant file (found in a post somewhere), tried turning wifi on using allsahare play, untweaking internet, but they just didn't work.
I'm ready to flash a stock ROM. But I'm just curious if you have any other suggestions before I do it because I've read some posts saying that reflashing didn't work as well.
Please help XDA Developers!
I guess no one has the solution yet. But I have discovered something, and I hope this would help. I found the file, init.qcom.wifi.sh, using root browser. I executed it and I got a script output stating an error. WI-FI chip ID is not specified. I have attached screenshots so you may as well check them out. Also, I noticed the files under date\misc\wifi are all 0.00 B which i think means they are empty. Please help experts.

First of all you've got to flash any custom rom available in order to use wifi again !!!

i tried all the above methods and even when on a full cleanrom install including the jasp rom but nothing has happened please help
Try reverting back to stock temporarely with Odin, this happens in my Note 3 and used to do the same in my S2, but only with the proximity sensor. The idea is the same, replace all settings to stock and flash whatever you want after (boot the stock though and test wifi just in case).
Why this works i have no idea, but it saved my arse loads of times. I can guess some internal devices might have flags configured which could be chip based rather then ROM/emmc related, but that is only my supposition.

[Q] Wifi stuck on "turning on wifi" after doing a factory reset :(

Hi! ive been browsing the net for almost 2 days looking for a solution to this problem. the other night, i did a factory reset on my PANTECH FLEX OS 4.1.2 non-rooted. Wifi was working fine before that. after the reset, wifi would now only show "turning wifi on" whenever i turn it on. i've seen threads regarding this but none with the Flex. PLEASE HELP AS IM REALLY DESPERATE
I've done factory resets, hard resets airplane mode tinkering and the like butthey dont work. i've been reading that one effective solution would be too flash the wifi in my device but i would need to root it. is there any other way to fix the wifi again without rooting it yet? i was thinking of doing a downgrade to ICS to try and fix the wifi but im not sure if that would work.

UPDATE: I just found out that the phone was rooted in the first place, assuming that superSU is only installed if a phone is rooted. This was just given to me so i had no idea that it was rooted anyway i checked to see if the phone is still rooted by running root checker basic and it says that it doesnt have root access anymore. Did i just un-root the phone? and how do i get back my wifi?
