Break your phone and get a Sprint replacement that hasn't updated to KitKat.

Triangle away works for KitKat. You'll still have a blown Knox counter is that's been tripped, but the counter reset app works just fine.

So with a blown Knox counter you can't receive upgrades correct? Just curious as when I hit the update button it told me I had a nodded system and updates where not available.

Official status and blown Knox fuse are 2 discrete things (though tripping Knox is caused by most rooting and recovery methods, you can get your device back to official status to get an OTA update, but the Knox counter will remain blown.

So how would one achieve this?

You achieve official status by doing a factory reset and flashing one of the stock roms on the dev forum, you remove the flash counter by purchasing an app called triangle away, and you get a Knox trip by flashing recovery or using Chainfire root method.

What does knox being tripped break on note 3?
It breaks functionality in Knox as well as you warranty and it shows your device as being rooted. At this time there is no way to revert it.
Hmm.. how do I know if I've tripped this knox thing ? It's the first I've heard about it .. I have already rooted my N3, but haven't even opened or cared to know about the knox launcher

That's why you should read read read before doing something like that ......

Of course, this does not mean that someone won't figure something out at some point, but at this point it doesn't look good.

They work fine. I've been using the 5x5_5x5 version, with no problems. Just extract the app from the zip, and use Root Explorer to overwrite SecLauncher4.apk, in /system/app. (Make a backup of your original SecLauncher4.apk, first)

Yes ma'am. Straight as it comes. It even has that annoying (to me) swipe up from the bottom of the screen "my magazine". As far as I know, if you install it with root explorer, it shouldn't affect knox. I don't really care about knox, I tripped mine as soon as I got the phone.

I don't know why you can't delete it. Maybe you can rename it something like SecLauncher4.odex.bak, and leave it there?

Hey, guys. These are the flashable modems from the MJ4 and NAB Stock ODIN files. These have not been modified in any way by me. Both are able to be flashed on 4.4.2 which I have done. I've only used the MJ4 Modem personally, so flash at your own risk.
MD5sums are as follows:
MJ4 Modem: b29b60bf2d38650e2aa2adb2b819b4fe
NAB Modem: 2c0c175c91d9ce587dba91e624e22b09
BIG Thanks to rwilco12 for his guide on extracting files and creating flashable tars and to rpenrod23 for submitting the link for the tars.
https://mega.co.nz/#F!A4xzzKiA!kH8EYEYpCz8ryaeA1klnUQ
Stock Recovery for NAB is also below:
https://mega.co.nz/#F!Ixhn2QyJ!jfYDHH56YWWj06rd_RxpcQ
Thanks for this. Would it be much trouble to make a flashable for the na4 modem? That would complete the set. If not that's cool. I'm glad to have these for sure.

Just download from PC and a browser that plays well with that site, like IE, Chrome or Firefox.

No problem.... http://link.tapatalk.com/api/click?...rs.com&subid=c157297d1a1ff043255bfb18530caaa2
I think I was misunderstanding what you were posting. I was thinking recovery flashable but you are making odin flashable. Correct? If that's the case then nevermind. The link I posted is already a tar file. Credit to freeza. Now that I think about it I don't think modems can be flashed in recovery. May want to update the post with the way to flash. I'm sure there will be others. Anyway, it's Def convenient to have the latest modems in one place. Thanks again.

Modems are recovery flashable as well, just depends on how you package them. Also, If I'm not mistaken, it does say ODIN in the title.

I don't know and if there is a tar of NABD freeza is probably the only one who would have it. I don't think a full release of NABD has been released.

It's an update zip that one applies from the external SD from stock recovery.
I believe that the files necessary to create the modem have been provided to freeza, and if they are needed, I would suggest that the request be made by the OP directly to him.
