[Q] Wifi problem - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

hi, i have a lt22i and it has damaged physically. now the only problem is when i turn the wifi on, it reboots and stocks on sony logo so i have to flash it a new rom again. this is just to turn the wifi off.
i flashed a custom kernel to install a custom rom to modify the wifi and still no hope because it can not boot custom kernels.
now i just have to find a way to disable or remove wifi from my settings.
any solution?
thanks

Then you will have to mod settings and the UI and quick settings, and could be a few others

Just a thought, maybe delete the wifi driver?

Not sure, Settings SystemUI and OnOfTools APKs I think.
Of course root is needed to install them.
Have you tried to delete the wifi drivers?

Can't find WIFI

Hi guys
My phone was running great until i bumped into this problem. It seems like my phone can't detect any wifi anymore, the list is empy when im in the wifi settings. i've tried to factory/hard reset my phone but the problem is still there, i've also tried mega wipe but that did not make any difference.
There is nothing wrong with my router beacause i have other phones connected to it. I tried to connect to wifi at my friends home but still, no wifi :/

maybe try a different kernel and see if flashing it fixes that. Or could it be that you switched the Wifi settings somehow to only detect wifi networks in a certain m/ghz range 2.x vs. 5?

Well i've tried to flash a different rom and that includes a different kernel, right? Well alot of my little cousins have played around with my phone so that could be possible but how do you change the settings to its standard? as mentioned i wiped my phone back to stock, shouldn't that have reset all my settings back to normal?

well yeah it should have reset it to stock settings. You can check it in the Advanced WiFi settings though.
What kernel do you use and what rom btw?

Then flash your original rom .
Fails its hardware .

did you try to run any battery stats app? (e.g. Better Battery Stats if this still works with 4.3) That way you could identify what keeps the phone awake.

did you try another custom kernel like googy etc?
to be honest I am not sure what to suggest more, maybe a full clean wipe, or maybe have a look in the boeffela thread?

Post the exact link of the rom. When you try to turn on data, does the switch turn green, or does it go back to the off position? Also, check your APN...that's the most likely culprit.

Post a screenshot of your APN settings. Or if you're sure they're right, then don't bother. Try flashing the radio again in ODIN. http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358550136
