[Q] When will Samsung release Froyo source code?

We all know that TMo has just rolled out the official Froyo on 21 and I'm wondering how much time will Samsung take to release source code for the Froyo?
The Telus Fascinate received it's source code about three weeks (14/01/11) after the official Froyo release (23/12/10)... so is it safe to assume that we'll be getting it soon too?
I just bought a DeLorean and will be converting it to a time machine over the next couple weeks. After I go into the future I will return and post the date at which Samsung released the source code.

2.2 Source Code question

Forgive me if this is answered somewhere, I did search.
So Eugene got his hands on the 2.2 source code. It was apparently leaked to him by a contact he has. So Sammy hasn't officially released the 2.2 source code?
So my second part of this question is this:
If Eugene has a leaked source code, why are there so many tests in his thread? I mean if it's the source code shouldn't it just work perfect once compiled?
I'm obviously no developer so that's why I have these "noob" questions. I just wanted to get some info on this subject of this source code Eugene has is all. Just don't understand all these tests if its the actual source and if it is the actual source code, why aren't the rest of the devs, including Cyanogen , jumping all over this and making ROMS based off it?
Thanks for any help regarding these questions of mine
The source that most are using is from either Euro9000 but then Samsung released the Captivate 959D (ATT) 2.2 source code. It is pretty close to our T-959 (TMO) and since that release in the last 10 days or so, every Dev has gone through this source code and updated their ROMS. The captivate and Vibrant are almost the same in build but not exactly the same.
To the second part, since they are not exactly the same... then testing to tweak it correctly for the Vibrant platform is necessary. That is why all the testing
Hope that helps
From what I've read source had only been mentioned in regards to the kernel, nothing else. I've also read that some of samsung's changes to the kernel have resulted in greater battery drain than the 2.1 kernel.

[Q] GB source code relesed for fascinate???

http://drippler.com/samsung-galaxy-...ial&utm_campaign=facebook-pages#axzz1JyXZxc84
yay???!!! is this what weve been waiting 4??
I can't view the page from where I'm at but thats seems to be a link about the source code for the original Galaxy S phone (the euro gsm version) and the source code from that isn't our source code (although I think in the past some of the drivers from the orig galaxy S have been used in some of kaos/jt's builds?).
I’m not sure what has gotten into the folks at Samsung as of late, but they seem to be on top of their game. They dropped the source code for the DROID Charge and Fascinate last week, the Gingerbread update for the Galaxy S started rolling out for European users this weekend, and this morning, the source code for the aforementioned 2.3 update hit the Open Source Developers Center. Ergo, we can almost certainly expect to see some custom Gingerbread ROMs for the Galaxy S in the coming weeks.

maybe its the 2.2 code??? the ec10 and drippler just sux at ameking snese
Galaxy S != Fascinate
The source is for the i9000, not the SCH-I500
Its been said COUNTLESS times, the original i9000 isn't going to help with mostly everything on the Fascinate (i500).

HELP get HTCDev kernel link fixed

I need the help of my fellow XDA members
The current link for the most recent kernel source for the EVO V 4g is incorrect it was discovered months ago on Negalite Forums here http://www.negalite.com/index.php?topic=154.0 I've left comments on HTCDevs site and they did respond but it always seems the person who replies knows nothing about GPL or kernels and passes it on to who knows who. To this day the link for the EVO V 4g 2.95.652.5 source gets you the ONE S India 3.15.720.101 source. That means as of 10-3-2013 HTC has not actually released source that they thought they did. I know if this gets around to the right person it will get fixed but as of now it seems to get lost between HTCDevs website development team and the Android development team.
If anyone knows someone from HTCDev can you please notify me or send them here to this thread.
I was hoping more people would complain and get this taken care of but since it hasn't been I'm on a mission to get this fixed!!!!!!!

Nabi device source code

Over the years we have asked Fuhu/Nabi for the source for Nabi2, NabiJR, NabiXD, Dreamtab, etc. A year or more ago they released the source for the Nabi2, NabiXD, and JR. Unfortunately the kernel source was nothing more then a snap shot of the kernel anyone could get but no board specific code, or even a defconfig. I have continued to politely ask over the years and they just released for the Nabi2S, Dreamtab, and BigTab. It still looks quite rough but I am pleased to announce with a little hacking to what they released and I was able to build a booting kernel for the Dreamtab(see attached). I also contacted them back, and asked if they could revisit the code for the Nabi2, JR, and XD. We will see what transpires but it's the best effort they have put forth to date.

I would love to see if any progress comes out of this. Did anyone ever manage to get any other ROMs working for this besides the ones that was ported from the Nexus?
I've been away from these devices for over a year.

I have a working Dreamtab kernel. The other devices source looks much worse. I asked them to try again for Nabi2 but never heard back. Haven't done much else, been messing around with LG Gpad lately.
Wonder if they would do the same kernel snapshot with the SE. The latter should also apply to the Mattel-themed variants, e.g. American Girl, Barbie, Hot Wheels and Fisher-Price considering they run off the same hardware with ROMs customised to account for the edition.
