Hi everyone, i just want tok ask, i ordered an unlock code for my samsung s3 but when i tried to unlock it, it does not work. there are troubleshooting instructions in the site. one is entering the samsung secret code but then when i tried to enter any samsung secret code. nothing happens. i tried to enter *#197328640# on the dialer but then nothing happens, if i press the call button it will just say it is not registered on then network. What should i do to make it appear? btw im on my stock 4.3 firmware.

Don't bump within 24 hours.
Most secret codes don't work anymore, contact whomever sold you the code for help -it should normally be input when you insert a new SIM card.

no good for me bro...
i just send my my phone on a skilled cellphone technician... and he get rid of my problem... now i just avoid flashing stock roms and stock based custom roms... but aosp roms are ok to flash coz they dont mess with efs folder...
just go to a cp repair shop and state your problem... this way you could also use your s3... thats the only thing you could do for now bro.

I suggest you to flash some ROM, i think it will remove any SIM Locks and so one. Find ROM on development forum for your phone.
You can get a Worldwide sony ericsson Unlock Code from imeicodes.co.uk this however takes about a week to get your code, so you need to be patient. The code will work fine aslong as you havent used up your tries to enter it (just like a nokia phone). It's a good idea to check your unlock code attempts before ordering a code by doing the following:
Press menu < < menu < menu menu <
Then you can check the counter [0 or 5].
If it says 0 then you cannot enter codes.
And STOP giving your IMEI on public sites!

First you have to check if your Baseband Version is M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015 (Settings→Phone info (I don't remember how it exactly is in English). If not, you must use FlashTool to change it. Next, you have to root your device, install ClockWorkMod (xRecovery) and flash your new ROM.
I'm not sure if it will remove SIM Lock although it's worth of trying. Ask if you have any questions.

99% sure roms don't remove sim locks :<
Flashing a ROM has nothing to do with your SIM Lock. So no flashing will magically unlock your device. You need to get the proper unlock code, or have someone with a unlock dongle to do it.

Sure if you got more tries to use with correct unlock code you still can do that.
Else you can get it unlocked via dongle.

I think you the one of many, why losed hes IMEI. There is NOT yet the way, how to restore IMEI in Ace. Sorry!

By removing the sim card the imei reapperer, and now i can do the *#272#IMEI* thing.
But there is not the ITV option, which i need, because i'm in italy. How can i force it to be installed?
(im back to XXKC1, so it should be there)

hey guys
my neo v makes me problems since a few days. when i try to open the screen lock the touch screen don't work for 2-3 seconds. after 2-3 seconds it works perfect. i thought it was a software problem and make a factory reset but it's don't fix. everytime i lock the screen it don't work. can anyone help me, please.

i use krabappel2548's rom, suave v6 and have unlocked bootloader. but i try different rom's, kernel's and lock the bootloader but its the same problem. here is a screenshot about a screentouch test

hey bro ! i have the same problem since a week now ! and m on Kernel .431, so as u already know its a hardware issue, then live with it !
I know the Pattern and Slide is less responsive, hence use face unlock, i have used it and its perfect even at low & dim lighting's, & it detects fast as well ! password lock is also working but its a pain in da ass !

I think its better u claim the warranty right away, as this is a hardware issue and it wont be fixed by flashing the device !
unfortunately in my region sony mobile distributors are not available ! get ur device replaced soon
WHILE FLASHING TAR file through ODIN i mistakenly ticked NAND Erase. Now my phone is not working it is showing both sims but none are registered ;( it giving some notification of update device info n IMEI numbers are missing in the system info plese help me !!
Ok now ur imei is gone and u cant register on network without it....
It is a problem in sammy devices and i hv experienced it twice
What u need to do is pull a file from ur device
Get imei number from somewhere ie. Back of the phone after removing battery imei number is supposed to be written there
U hv to enter tht number in a certain place as hexadecimal using hex editor
Then push it back
Now u will get nice tut on google on which file u have to get for that

Even I did nand erase once I jst flashed stock rom and did factory reset through settings. .. might work for u... just give it a try and post the result...

If he has actually lost the imei number from his phone i doubt if stock will fix it since imei is device specific

OK so anyone know why I was able to download a firmware from t-mobile I think, cause I couldn't find the aio, region for my phone, anyway so a phone thats not suppose to have android 12 let me flash it, it's still cricket, but now it has android 12, 4.1 home or whatever Samsungs yea, I also tried flashing a stock version of vzw variant and it also let me, I mean not sure if it's normal but it worked, although it does throw a error, then you factory reset and takes a minute to restart, just saying fir anyone with this phone, to give it a shot, lol but I ain't responsible for brick, but there's always a way out of that
