Those apps need the TW framework if I am not wrong. CM does not use it, hence it won't be possible.

The latest versions of MIUI include a toolbox feature that allows you to change the carrier logo.

You could use an app such as Omega Status Bar that would be one of the easiest ways to change the carrier icon.

It is included as a standard app on all MIUI.us ROM downloads, once you install the ROM it should be included just like camera, browser, etc. are already included when you flash a ROM.

Hi,
If you are on CriskeloRom you are no longer in stock ROM... So you can use this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1848582&highlight=mod
Flash just one of the modes you want, even if you are on stock ROM now (rooted, with CMW, etc...? If yes you're good. Without a new ROM, yes just flash the ROM, without installing... Not possible...
For battery... It depends of your use, read the kernel's threads (OP, changelog and feedback), learn how set your phone, test different kernel with different settings...
Only you will be able to get the answer and about applications that could help the battery life... in my opinion no, there is not such apps, it will make you even consume more or at least no significant improvement.
The commons rules are underclock, undervolt and brigtness set to the minimum, no sync, etc...

[Q] Restoring system apps

I am running on limited data usage plans and so I cannot upgrade the system apps(Google Maps, Google Search, YouTube etc.) everytime I flash a new ROM with full wipe. Tried to backup system apps using Titanium Backup Pro and restoring into the new ROM but failed. Any suggestions would be appreciated.:fingers-crossed:

Still not working.... When I restored YouTube v4.1.23 with the data of v4.5.17 it is not happening!!!:crying:
I use app extractor to add my apps after I've changed ROMs. So the apps you have now gets copyed in the form of apks. Install with package installer.

Gapps are usually integrated with Samsung based roms. After flashing a Samsung based rom you would just need to upgrade. I use app backup restore to backup the apk's. Try it and lemme know if it helps.
No.This is for cm base Roms. For Sammy ,you can extract the respective apk from the zip file and place it in system/app and changing permissions.
Edit: Don't Samsung Roms come with integrated gapps?at least the basic ones?

Hi, for now, Themer only works with stock DPI/resolution settings. Therefore if you're running custom display settings, please revert them back to stock. Thanks
