Because all of my devices at home don't have this problem.i did factory riser on my phone and router but it doesn't help.i did connecting with static ip but maybe because I'm noob it didn't help!
Sorry for my bad English
Please help me faster if you can :crying:
Thanks all

Back to stock to test (WiFi drivers are in the kernel), if it's OK on stock, then it's a problem with the kernel - talk to the dev/post in the kernel thread. If it happens with stock as well, update your router firmware in the first instance (go to the router manufacturer website), then play around with the router settings (channels, everything else).
You did the right thing trying with static IP in the WiFi connection settings on the phone, that solves a lot of these problems, but unfortunately not in your case. Try the above & see how you go. It could also be a hardware problem, like a lot of things with this phone as we're getting to 3 yrs since release (so many different hardware problems popping up these days), I've seen plenty of incidences both here/elsewhere online of the WiFi chip in the phone dying. In that case you're probably better off getting a new phone. You'd need to take it to a mobile repair shop for diagnosis in that case.
But cross that bridge if you get to it & after you've tried everything you possibly can.

Wifi not turning on as well as other problems. Please help!

I don't know if it has been asked before but I've got a problem with the WiFi on my A101IT.
Problems:
Sometimes when I turn it on when it has been off it either goes into boot loop for no apparent reason OR just randomly freezes at the boot screen. When it doesn't act up and I finally get on and my home screen comes up and I look for my active Wifi signal.... it's not there?! When I go to try to manually connect to my Wifi in the Settings it gives me some b.s. "Error" reading! When I try to disconnect and reconnect my Wifi connection on my device it still continues to read "Turning on.... Error." Then, if I feel like messing with it, I'll go through about 5-10 tries of turning my A101IT off and back on to get my Wifi signal on my device to connect as it should.
Other side notes:
I have a Linksys WRTP54G VoIP router that is configured to Wireless G network. Never really had any device connection problems until a few weeks ago.... it just all-of-a-sudden started doing this on its own. I also bought my A101IT off eBay from someone who bought it as New and took very good care of it and only used it like 6 times in 1 month. Beside that, I never uninstalled/deleted any file/.apk I wasn't supposed to. (I say I never uninstalled/deleted anything because I have permanent root access via Chulri's Method for FW 2.3.20).
Any solutions?? Please help!
UPDATE: Archos' [email protected]$$ Customer Support representative said to "upgrade firmware and that should fix the problem." Assumptions, assumptions..... you know what they say?! Anyway, I really don't want to upgrade my FW to 2.3.26 due to known Wifi issues still occurring because as I have found... it seems to be that it is a similar hardware issue like Microsoft's Ring of Death for their XBOX 360 Base, Premium, Elite, AND Slim version gaming systems. I may be wrong but I believe it's a NIC issue where the NIC is not fully soldered on and/or the heat from the A101IT's battery cooks the connection of the NIC on the motherboard of the device to where it can only be turned on at random after about 6 months or more. That's my idea...
try to use Wifi manager to control the Wifi again. https://market.android.com/details?id=org.kman.WifiManager&hl=en
It solved my wifi problem on UrukDroid.
And if u want u can get an older version that has the widget to switch for free.
(Although as it's old it might have bugs that are fixed by now)
= your choice

Touchpad wifi issue

(Posting here as i cant post in the wifi thread in the dev forum)
Last week I tried Bricked ROM with the 0.4 and 0.35 kernel and wifi was bad. Once it went I had to do all sorts of things to get it back up and it used to go many times a day.
I'm on ClassicNerd 0.1.0 now and it is much better. I'll lose connectivity maybe once a day but can get it back usually straightaway by turning wifi off and back on.
With both roms i did ACMEUninstall, webos doctor and multiple wipes of data, cache and system.
Sent from my Touchpad using Tapatalk
I've resorted to never resetting my touchpad. lol.lame I know but when it works it stays fine .....only until I reset.
sucks
Had a similar issue when my ISP upgraded my router to a virgin super hub ( its a re branded netgear one ) my solution was to disable the router function and connect my old belkin n600 play and now my wifi works and never disconnects even on the 5Ghz mode.
In my case I don't think it was a router issue. Both ROMs were used with the same router/channel as well as at the local Starbucks. BrickedROM had the problems I mentioned above with both routers and similarly ClassicNerd is pretty much problem-free with the same two routers.
It seemed that for whatever reason the WiFi would go to 'sleep' even though the OS thought it was working. So I would get the WiFi signal icon but it would never go blue or show any activity whatsoever. Once it had gone to 'sleep' though, it wasn't straightforward how to wake it up. Sometimes it needed some 'rest' so I was turning it off and back on after a few minutes, other times it would persist even after rebooting. I would even forget the network, turn it off, reboot, etc and repeating a few times but I never found a pattern that would work consistently! Very-very frustrating experience!
You talking about the bricked rom from feb02? I am currently running that (upgraded from cm7) with v0.35 kernal and don't seem to have any issues at all. Just a silly question, but can you connect in webOS

[Q] Post ICS upgrade - won't connect to secured Wifi

This is a problems I'm having now with my GS2 and ICS(current is Bezke rom and Pure rom prior to that). Both of these ICS roms exhibit the same problem, it will see the wifi spot (its a Apple time machine and the connection uses WPA protection), it just won't connect to it.... EVER. The router is also just in the next room, so it has a perfect strong signal.
I did not have a problem before the ICS upgrade, it connected to the wifi spot just fine. As far as I'm concerned this is NOT a hardware problem but in software. I have had this issue with MANY MANY other high end android phones (I go through a lot), so much so that I got a 2nd router and run it open just for my android phones. I've tried utilities that "reset" the phone settings to help connect (not sure what that means, maybe like a DNS flush or ipconfig release/renew kind of deal...) but they never work.
Ive searched online for this issue and apparently thousands of others have had this same issue, but I don't remember seeing any talk of what exactly the problem is, or what to fix it (aside from flashing another rom). I would rather not be flashing every rom under the sun until I finally get it working, but I might just have to.
I really like this phone (I also have a 4S but don't use it because I like this Samsung so much) and plan on keeping this a while. Its a GT-I9100 BTW and not a carrier branded device, I have it on T-Mobile US.
I'm probably going to try the official Sammy rom next and see what happens. FWIW my last phone that had this problem was a Optimus 3D and it was running STOCK F/W and still would not connect. C'MON GOOGLE! WTF, This is a problem, can we PLEASE get it fixed
Can i take it that you have tried connecting with no security setup on the WiFi router first .
jje
Same problem here. Just upgraded two S2's at work. Went thru the process to 2.3.4 and 2.3.5 and once in 4.0.3 neither of them worked using our cisco wifi. Remember having the same problem on the old HTC Hero, but the Desire and the Sensation (both 2.3.5 and 4.0.3) works fine, as do iPhones and some tablets.
Problem must lie within the S2 since we have loads of computers and other phones connected. Have tried static settings instead of dhcp but the setup on the phone is quite limited.
Same here
9.5-9.7 Resurrection ICS based on XXLPH/XXLPJ won't connect to wpa2 secured University wifi. I've tried the official XXLPQ by Samsung and everything works like a charm.
It installed the XXLPQ so that is a no go. Tried connecting to a htc sensation hotspot and that worked. They just don't want to connect to the Cisco.
Encryption requres screen lock
I'm on campus Wi-Fi a lot. apparently "credential storage" used on these enterprise networks can only be used when you have a screen lock pin code set up
Does that help?
trying to find a way around it myself, I dont want to have to type a pin in every time I pick up my phone when I'm sitting in my apartment streaming pandora.
Sorry I forgot to reply back, but I ended up "cheating" and getting another router SPECIFICALLY for my android devices that dont like wifi security. I got a coupon in the mail for a free wifi router (N too!), its pretty low end but hey, it works.
Sure thats not really fixing the issue with the phone, but Ive gotten to the point of so much frustration, if I try any further to fix the phone and fail I'll either end up destroying the thing, turning to drugs or both.
Sadly, that last sentence was not hyperbole, Im serious. HOWEVER the phone is working, so all is well here

WiFi troubles

Alright, let's see if anyone can make heads or tails of my problem.
I bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 about 3 months ago. From the moment I first booted it, I've had issues with wifi. Ever since, I've searched the internet high and low for solutions to no avail and have finally resorted to making my own thread.
So, on stock rom (and with Wifi power save mode OFF), it detects networks just fine, but cannot connect to them. I disabled the password and any security barrier on my home router, and now it connects sometimes. But even when it does, it will only last about 10 to 15 seconds and then disconnect and won't reconnect anymore.
But then I installed cyanogenmod, which changed things up a bit. It will not detect a network unless I'm 2-3 meters in range of the access point, but it will connect and maintain the connection as long as I'm within 1 meter range. For some reason, I can't access Service Mode in CM in order to turn off WiFi power save mode.
Now I'm unsure what to do next. I wish my phone worked right. It's not much to ask I think. I can't send it back to warranty, because Triangle Away can't download the needed files, not even through mobile data (which works as intended I think but is very slow and very weak).
So what do you think, is it a hardware issue? Could I get a private store to fix it?
Any help is appreciated, thanks-
You have a hardware issue, try replacing the aerial module first then motherboard or a new phone.

So there's no chance to make use of the warranty? How much would a repair cost, more or less

Serious Wifi Connectivity Problem (Please help I'm dying)

so i have this problem for about 3 months now,
so I'll explain the problem I am facing,
I'm connected to wifi unless I'm an inch close to the router, so if I go away, the connection will be disconnected, however, in my work, I am connected to an access point which has put a big smile to my face, but apparently when I went back home, I faced the problem again, and I guess I would be connected to that only access point, which is the first time I've seen since i got this problem, all the routers/modems I tried to connect was a failure(saved, secured) since my phone met this access point.
I already tried Factory Reset, Flashing custom modem, *#0011#, deleting data/misc/wifi, changing settings on router and many many more as I've put an hour of fixing this every single day. none of this works. for what I recall, all I did was download an GPS app(I don't remember what it is) and then poof, wifi is doomed.
I have my iPad and my laptop connected and there's no issue with them, only on this phone.
I'm running 4.3 btw,
does anyone know how to fix this problem? my brain hurts a lot and I don't know what to do. please help I'm dying, thank you
