[q] how to disable internal sd card emulation? - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

how do i disable internal sd card emulation on LG optimus L9 p765 ?
I've rooted my phone also the bootloader is unlocked .
I have seen many roms have this feature in built into them, I don't want to flash any custom Rom for this purpose .
it would be nice if someone could guide me how to disable internal sd card emulation.
please give me some clues on how to do it ?
thank you developers .

You could try this....

You can review code in disabled sdcard rom. Just extract it (also extract boot.img). Then look into
1. init.[HWBOARD].rc
2. /system/etc/vold.fstab (JB 4.3 don't use this, it use /[HWBOARD].fstab instead)
3. /system/framework-res.apk (extract this file and look in /res/xml/storage_list.xml)
You can compare with original CM rom to see what is changed.

[Q] Help please! about installing custom rom and partitioning.

Do i still need to manually partition my sd card before installing custom rom? or is there any rom's which doesnt require partition of memory card? It is because my usb sd card reader is broken and i dont know of any other way in partitioning sd except mini tool wizard.
can you please advise me about this?
thanks.
I didn't partion mine when I just updated to FroyoComb v1.5 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1085607 by D4rKn3sSyS
I did the steps mentioned on my website here if that helps
@vdciii
If U R going to install ROM based on Android 2.2+ U don't have to have Ur card partitioned (and even having it could block possibility to move apps to SD)
Well ROM u will be flashing should most probably be having apps2sd natively-
HENCE NO NEED TO PARTITION ANYTHING
how about link2sd and flashing cm7?
would that affect the flashing of the rom? or is it possible?

You really got to be specific. Would what affect flashing a rom? and is what possible?

Well you'll have to disable app2sd which will be natively supported, and yeah you can use links2sd and it won't effect flashing, but I wonder is links2sd supports gingerbread on which cm7 is based????

I guess no one is interested in the development of this device maybe due to this reason very less support is available for it.
BTW does ur device shows accessibility services???
Its actually not possible to swap memory from your external sd to internal phone storage because your phone already has the max internal memory (think of a box with water. putting extra (smaller) boxes in the big box, wont allow you to have more water in the big box
If this helped, please hit thanks
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda app-developers app
Try to use MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition to partition you sd card.
I don't know if this is avialable for your phone, but there may be a way to swap your sdcards. Meaning force your phone to use the external sd instead of the internal sd when creating new files. Again, not sure if you can do this on your device
1)Root your phone
2)Partition your sd card
3)Install Link2SD
I am able to install more than 100 apps on my Karbonn A4+ !!

[Q] No external storage

Hello all!
I think i'm stuck with PacMan ROM. I've flashed it from 4.1.2 to 4.3. I absolutely love latest CM version and stuff , but here is a problem. I cannot write to my internal storage anything! I can't even access it from computer (Windows). So, what is left now is buying a SD card (but I do not need it for my usage and stuff). Is there anyway way to fix that problem with internal storage?
by the way... 1,70GB available
LG Optimus L9 P760 with PacMac ROM
If someone can find or has the solution, I will be the happiest person on the planet!!

Solved my problem by formatting the partitions with CWM and doing a fresh install of rom.
I think TWRP didn't wipe the internal memory properly in my case.
The rom is really nice.

Which PAC rom you flash on your phone? Maybe that rom disable internal sdcard emulate. If so, you cannot use many features if no sdcard in your phone. You can try to load new PAC rom from their website http://pacman.basketbuild.com/index.php?dir=main/p760/release/

connect your microsd to your pc with phone o with an adapter(better)
you can partition your sdcard with a partition manager, for example:
easus partiion manager, gparted...
you must have 2 partion 1-for apps(ext4) and 2-for your data(example music,photos...)
I don't have card adepter. Is there any way to do this? Please help. I have a little space on Internal memory.

Root your phone if you haven't already and install FolderMount, since the other options haven't worked for you. I use that and it's fine.

Unable to move Apps to SD Card on Stock ROM

I'm unable to move my apps installed on Honor 5X - L22 (indian) model - Using Class 4 Memory card - 4Gb, is that an issue using low Class SD Card does not allow apps to be moved ??
Tried using Apps to move Apps but unable to detect them to move ? Are those locked ? Yet patches will fix this issue on this Stock ROM - Not Rooted.

Right i'm able to move indvidual apps through apps. But still unable to make it at smooth.
Settings-> Manage Apps. Click on the app you want to move and click 'Move to sd Card'. Once moved to sd card, the button description will change to 'Move to Phone'. If the app is a system app, it may have this button disabled. If your not root, then I would suggest you root your phone to give you more permissions (these buttons may be disabled on non-root devices). Your sd card is fine, it maybe slow, but it should still work. There are apps on the market which can move apps to sd card but they may require root.

What exactly does rooting mean?
And why do people brick their phone when trying it?!
Arobase40 said:
Root is the process of elevating your your rights on your system just as Administrator with Windows or root with Linux.
This has mostly nothing to do with bricking a phone but with flashing custom ROMs with some flashalcoholic guys...
It's the same story as with alcohol or with drugs, you know its bad and not good for your health but there is that insane curiosity, and with some guys they will continue even though they have had bad experiences...
Instead, with root when done and use correctly is a very powerful and wonderful tool !

In order to flash a custom ROM you have to first have root in the first place. Root gives you the permission to do things on your phone when normally you wouldn't beable to do so (Like flash a custom ROM {which means modified OS}).
You should search the forums and get good at searching the forums and google. Internet peeps don't like people who ask questions that have already been answered. Just a piece of friendly advice yo.
