I know.....any way flash 6833 ftf on your 6802....everything will be perfect.
Just remember to update yoh Flashtool. ( there is new version is out, and old one not gonna work)
Yeah u should relax man. I used to use nexus 7 FHD and dont have any big impression with KitKat. Some apps I am using dont work well on KitKat like JB. So why u want to update to KitKat with crash apps and no root?

Meh no hurry really.. seeing some issue with KitKat (dat SD card mechanism, daaaang) and the flatter Home Launcher with no table reflection, i'll just milk the heck out of 4.3 for now. Yeah a newer software version is intriguing, but while waiting for the PCC, i'll just read reviews around here..
if we decide to flash the C6833 kitkat FTF now, can we choose to flash C6802 FTF once it becomes released?

Flashing C6833 to C6802, what about baseband? I've experienced some no network issues before, when flashed generic UK C6833 ftf to C6802, I believe there could be some issues with UMTS frequencies

Good don't flash than. Just don't do it, and don't ask again.
It's not Microsoft nor Apple.
Then why so worries people! [emoji12] Enjoy the Android experience. Have patience guys.[emoji41] We are all holding one of the best [emoji336] ever made by Sony. So wait for sometime.
Lol... It's been out for about 24hrs and people are carrying on like the world is ending because not all models have been rolled out - flash 6833 or have more patience than 24hrs

If you're into that sort of thing, then yes I do believe you've bought the wrong phone. That's not to say the P will not get those roms eventually but I just think it's a very mainstream device and don't expect to see much by way of custom roms.
If you want to tinker with your device to that extent, then I think you should avoid purchasing mid range devices because it's unlikely there'll be too many devs who would get it to work with. It's already a chance with Sony in the first place so why take an even bigger chance with a Sony mid range device.

(P.s. as per Google's indications, 4.2 would indicate the iterative release of Key Lime Pie, and I did not see a KLP thread.)
Yes, 4.2!
The Arc S particularly keeps appearing on 4.2. This makes me wonder how many devices are going to be updated next? Perhaps some 2011 devices will be updated along with 2012 ones.
Next is the matter of 4.2. In the article here:
http://www.xperiablog.net/2012/10/11/android-4-2-being-tested-on-the-xperia-arc-s/
they discuss why that could be. Perhaps it's some 'beta build of Jelly'. I really doubt that. Whether Jelly or Lime, something's definitely being tested.
More clues here: http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/1...w-phone-and-a-new-nexus-tablet-both-motorola/
My next few questions are:
1. What are the specs (again) of the Arc S which will tell more about specs needed for future Sony updates. (GSM Arena) http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_xperia_arc_s-4134.php
2. What new features in Jelly/Lime would I especially look forward to (Android version history, Wiki) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_version_history#Android_4.0.x_Ice_Cream_Sandwich
3. WHEN might this happen? I think maybe a bit like last year, announce towards the end of the year for a rollout in Q1/Q2.
arc s neo v and ray prolly gets it because they all use the same build number , can maybe port to neo and arc
the mini's? well i hope they release for them too!
I just checked again and the Arc S is running on 512MB of RAM. This is good news for our phones...many phones *could* be updated potentially.
I'm scanning the Android version history to try and find some audio/visual improvements that I may like!! :victory:

What you could do though is rip the FTF out of your PC companion update, and then post it here:
