[Q] Please Help!! Need original firmware for chinese 7" tablet. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a chinese tablet which has no brand or model/serialnumber.
A few weeks ago the tablet stopped working (stopped during boot).
Searched for firmware and tried several ROM''s i found on the internet (I opened the tablet and found that it has an Allwinner A13 inside).
With many of these Rom's the tablet will start only the touchscreen does not work.
You can look at the pictures to see how the tablet looks.
I also found a video on youtube which shows the tabet.
I cannot place a link but search for this: Allwinner 7inch A13 Android Tablet - Overclocked - review & games PART 1
I already contacted the guy who posted this video but he doesn't have the tablet anymore.
Can someone please help me find an original firmare file for this tablet??

[Q] Coby Kyros 8024

I would just like to know what custom ROMs will be applicable for Coby Kyros 8024. I know this device was just release a few months ago, but I will appreciate it if someone can tell where to start with this. Thanks in advance everyone!!

Coby kyros 8024 w/android market
I've heard some talk about people successfully rooting and running Roms on the kyros 8024, Iam running the android market without root and am now working on turning my kyros into a wifi phone for home use......... The best texting app I've found would be heywire and if you want to store contacts on the kyros use komodo (free ver) and add contacts manually!
i cant root coby kyros 1024 using z4root
Coby MID 8024 Root
I ran the root and device rebooted. Icon shown on screen, alright. However, when attempting to dl apps from the market I get message "no android phone" attached. I no the yelling will start but what is up with that?
Thanks for response without name calling.

I found a blog, of sorts, that was fairly useful in getting the Android Market running properly and rooting it using SuperOneClick (although I haven't tested that yet but I'm going to in the next hour or so).
http://www.ibrado.org/coby-kyros-mid1024-4g-rooted-googlified
I literally just got mine in the mail today and I've been grabbing APK's from my phone to install applications on the tablet - some work, some don't. I've got Gmail working, several games like Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja.
I'm going to see about getting recovery on it and upgrading to 2.3.4 or higher because this Froyo BS is killing me.

Please post any info you find on a custom recovery I rooted with the super1click method and not reading properly used the recovery image for the 7024. This device seems to use some sort of nand backup and the image file needs to be altered to properly flash a custom backup
also be careful when installing network location I haven't found a version that doesn't keep the device from soft resetting
Guys,
I bought an MPMAN MP827, wich is a Coby Kyros MID8027 differently branded. The Coby Kyros MID8027 is like the Coby Kyros MID8024 but with only 3 soft buttons and with a capacitive display.
Trying to install some Google core apps the device went boot cycling. This was my mistake: I download the firmware for the MID 8024 from Coby's website and installed it, however, as it for a resistive display, all is working fine (well, haven't had the change to try everything actually) but the display won't recognize any touch. Volume and power physical buttons seem to work ok, the soft ones I don't really know.
What I needed is a firmware that works with the device. It's an 8 inch, Cortex A8 1Ghz, 3 soft buttons, capacitive display tablet, with 512MB RAM and 4Gb NANO Flash memory.
Any ideias?
Anyone has the MPMAN 827 or the Coby Kyros MID 8027 (this is being sold by Amazon Germany) or even the Coby Kyros MID 8128 (seems to be exactly like the MID 8027 but with GPS and is also sold on Amazon Germany).
I have called Coby USA and they told me they do not have any product named MID 8027, which is bs as it is being sold in Germany.
I will call Coby Germany during the next week.
MPMAN also promised to get me the original firmware and have been great about what I did to it, but they are taking sooooo long.... and maybe there's a Gingerbread, already rooter and market enabled rom that works out there.
Any suggestions?
solution

[Q] I am lost. May be I need Onda Vi30W deluxe build.prop

Hi!
I think i need the original build.prop for a Onda Vi30W deluxe. If my tablet info says it is now a Novo 7 because a script put new info on the build.prop, do i have the possibility to flash my tablet again or is it lost because it think it is another tablet?
--
My friend mess up my tablet so i try to fix all things. From what he said. He installed a script name 'TopNotchAutomod2.0-NoGames' wich he took from h t t p : / / topnotchtablets.com/NOVO-7-Advanced-ROOT-Guide". Like we all see it is for the NOVO 7 and NOT my Onda vi30w deluxe tablet.
Now my tablet infos arenow all changed (model number, baseland version, kernel version and Buid number). From what i saw, the script loaded Novo 7 info in my Onda tablet.
Si I tough It would be a good time to flash the tablet to ICS since it's in 2.3.4, but it seems not possible (the drivers seems all installed, but when i try to flash the tablet, Livesuit turn in loop(no response) until i unplug the tablet so it wont let me flash it).
Is it possible that Livesuit and the firmware.img are the cause ? Does it dont want me to flash the tablet because of the wrong info on it or is it impossible that this is the problem? Maybe it's just a driver thing because a lot of people seems to have problem with drivers but...I wanna be shure I will not loose my time if my tablet is now impossible to update to ICS with the firmware available on the Onda company website...
Thanks a lot for your support. I'm really sad of this situation and not sure if i'm completly lost.
More simple : Do I need to put back the original build.prop for livesuit to be able to reconnize my tablet and firmware ?
old but ill answer
go to slatedroid.com they have a dedicated forum for onda. make sure the image file is renamed from Chinese to English before flashing coz live suite would act strangely if you don't.

everything went very smoothly and it works again but I no longer have access to the internet tablet from well research network but can not find anything on and off the Internet function. I think I need a new childpad rom to install what do you think?
knowing that I have a 2nd identical tablet, can I make a copy of the rom?

Rooted firmware for Allwinner H313 (X96Q) or H616 (X96 Mate) ?

I have few questions regarding Allwinner H616 OR H313 boards?
1) Does anyone have rooted firmware for Allwinner H616/4/32/Android 10 or H313/2/16/Android 10 ? If yes, plz share it.
2) Does Allwinner support rotation? If you have this support in firmware, plz let me know.
3) I could not find any setting in X96Q or X96 Mate to change device resolution to 720P (not even in display setting,AUTO also does not work for me).
4) Is there any way to change boot logo and boot video in these devices?
this was posted a little while back in the T95 thread (allwinner h616)
T95 Allwinner H616 TV Box
Just thought I would post regarding this box. Not much information on it. I bought on a whim without realising the one thing I wanted was missing (Bluetooth). However the box has grown on me. Its powered by the new Allwinner H616 Chip. However...

the person who posted it is a decent guy, I'd talk to him to confirm the partition sizes and suitability.
Did you manage to get anything for H313?
