Hi
I have been searching for a launcher that allows me to change the grid sizes per screen but so far i have not found one
does anyone know of one that does this.
I want one for use on a galaxy gear watch so that i can have the main screen set to 4x5 for the widget and then as the screen is so small i want the other screens to only have a 2x2 or 3x3 grid so the icons are big enough
hope you get what i mean
Thanks
Edit just realised this is in the wrong section can a mod please delete this

AFAIK only TW displays dock icon names, whatever icon you drag to dock, it can display icon names too. I ve installed many launchers but none of them can do this.
Do you know any launcher can display names of dock icons?
mmm, just to say ever try with texticoncreator, is an add-on for adw laucher wich can completely edit the icon with different text, got a nice feature with auto save preference so if you set a size and colors you will find the same at every next editing
just take a look in the theme section, there are some nice screenshot from various user
try xperia arc launcher

Moving to Q&A
+ hulu launcher
1. I just downloaded Milocker. Looks like it's the one I've been looking for except that the themes in it don't fit my screen. :/ Is there a way around this?
2. Is there a way to edit the icon sizes on the homescreen? Also adjust its spacing (e.g. If I set the homescreen to 3x3, it sets the icons too far apart for my liking)
Thanks in advance!
1. Search Milocker for LDPI
2. Instructions vary as per your launcher.. but you can change the number of rows and columns on screen to bring them closer of move apart(I am not sure but you can't do this on touchwiz)
what is ldpi? i'm new

I get that the developers/designers are only doing themes for specific screen resolutions right now, but why is the core tools for creating custom Themer widgets restricted by large grid settings?
Confused as to what I mean? Please let me explain.
I can create a custom widget, which starts with the background box. But, in order to line the background box up with my home page background, I have to set the color of the background widget to a solid color and then resize it since it doesn't visualize the snap-to grid element (which it does).
So, as I said above, why is this limitation there in the first place? On my Note 2 I can't create a widget that goes to the top of my screen because it is out of bounds of my screen and when I go to add elements to the widget, they don't line up correctly unless I resize the widget background box to snap to below the top of my screen (by a good amount).
So, is it at least possible to have the default grid snap distance greatly reduced or give us an option to set it ourselves in regards to setting the widget itself?
I've encountered zero issue with moving elements within a widget box other than the inability to lock items individually once placed (that would truly help in them designing).
Sorry for any confusion, I'm not aware of the standard labels for the various design elements of a widget or the like.

Hows it going? Im Bill from MCS.
Im a still a bit confused as to what you are asking and what tools it is that you are using in Themer that are giving you the issue.
Im sure you have already made sure that padding is turned OFF in the settings, but I have to say just to be safe.
IF you are getting spaced on the sides or top or your widget, you might want to check to see if you are using odd numbers for the Grid (rows and columns). Because of the way custom build widgets from WYSIWYG editors like Zooper and Everything widget render on the screen you might be a 1px gap if you are using odd numbered Rows or Columns in your grid.
This is the first thing I would check. I have seen an issue where for some reason I get a 2 or 4px padding on the top and bottom of the widgets. It only happens to me now and again. I can usually delete the widget and re-add it to get rid of the issue.
Is it possible to swipe through with each page having a different theme?
Download the needed icon packs, then customize the icons for each page. I believe you can also have multiple Zooper widgets with different themes, not sure. Basically customize each page on its own.
For example... For every theme there are directions that say "use this launcher with a grid size of 5x9". Every theme is different so my question really is towards those that have themed android and have gone through trial and error.
So what grid size to use? 12x12? Any other tips?

You can just resize the widgets in most launchers. Grid size doesn't really matter much, set something you're comfortable with.
I created a Battery/Weather/Time/Date widget in UCCW for my Nexus 7. When I go back to my home screen the widget is perfectly centred albeit a tad small. When I resize it, however, it moves to the left of the screen and I am unable to move it to the right due to the resizing box being at it's limit. I'm not sure if this is something to do with the grid size (which I don't fully understand yet) that Nova Launcher is set at (currently 6x6) or something I did in UCCW.
This is the first thing I have made in UCCW and have just started learning about customization so any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers.
