if on stock 4.2.1 ... then .. do as given below..
go to settings>more>mobile networks>3gservice>Network mode> .... then change it to " GSM/WCDMA ( auto mode).. and restart your moblie...

i tried also *#*#4636#*#* in "Phone information" default it's "WCDMA ONLY" and i changed it to "WCDMA PREFFERED" but also not connecting to 2G..
Who's ur service providers....if its tata docommo...than ur 1000000 percent lilely to face this problem

It is a problem with your service provider..... Contact them !!

If it still doesn't work after restarting, reboot to recovery and clear dalvik cache and reboot.
Sometimes there are somne bugs which get cleared.
If this also doesn't work then you have to contact your service provider.
do not buy micromax.. they r fraud

even i have the same prob.. not fixed till now.. one year passes.. went to service center many times.. no use. their service sucks, they told me it cant b fixed, u'll have to use it like that only... i was like.. WTF. micromax sucks.. i will never buy from micromax again in my life. this is why people prefer foreign products... they 100 times better than indian products.. in terms of quality and service both.!!

Well, if you know of anyone with the same Provider you can check their phone of the APN settings since it should be the same, if there's no one to lend their phone from then just call the Provider for info about the APN settings

i would try setting the network to GSM only or WCDMA only and see if it has problems on both network modes.
Make sure the apns were set properly

i tried putting it to one of both either gsm only or wcdma only and it still didn't work

If all else fails you could ask your network to send you the settings for the access point. Ask your network for network settings. They will send you a system message. Press install and then pull out your battery and sim. Wait a minute and then put the sim in and battery and start your phone. You should then have a network connection.
Some devs leave their access settings by accident. It happens once in a while.

Hi guys.. I got my canvas hd upgraded from mmx service centre.. No problem there but after upgrading I m not getting the notification same way as before..
Previously notification showed 7 to 8 msgs of whatsapp at a time. But after upgrading to 4.2.1 only one msg is shown in notification...anyway to get back previous notification style?

I got my canvas hd upgraded at chaitanya teleservices, azadpur.. Near azadpur metro station..
They took 15 mins to take away my phone and just 5-10 mins to upgrade it:thumbup:
But note one thing in case u decide to go azadpur, Google map and even map on just dial is providing wrong location..

I have no idea where is it, SO, would locate the Azadpur metro station in Google Maps. What is the name of Service centre??
You first go to Micromax website..
Go to support, I think!
There they'll ask for your pin code.. Just write it down there and they will provide you the location of your nearest service centre..

I recently upgraded my A116 to v5 stock rom.Now my data connection frequently disconnects.It disconnects like 2-3 times an hour.
All I wanted to know is if I messed anything during flashing.or was this just a network error.

disconnecting frequently is a network prob not the ROM s prob
And there has been this flickering problem whenever I view any grey image...cn u provide a solution?

I was using BSNL and now I switched to AIRCEL..faced the disconnection problem on both sim cards...so what I did was put the sim card in other phone and there was no disconnection..What have I done to my phone??

I forgot to tell u one thing...the disconnection occurs only wen I put my mobile aside...i mean when I am not using it...
It won't disconnect for the time I use it...

Well thr s an option in som ROM s which allows power saving by disconnecting mobile data I also did face the same prob in Stock Rom but it was solved wen I flashed other custom Rom s Nd also a116i s stock Rom also did solve this

While using internet when i am connecting to internet in one sim I am unable to receive call and messages in another sim . I have tried changing the sim but the problem persists . I have tried different roms but the problem is same . This prohlem is even in the stock rom . Plzzz help me....

Set prefered network type to CDMA auto (PRL) and wait until your phone connects to 3G
Change prefered network to GSM/CDMA auto (PRL).

Its in the gsm only mode and everytime i try to change it , it changes back to gsm only .

Its airtel problem. Have faced it too. Try with some other simcard, idea i advice. And you won't face this error for sure.
