Hello bros,
can someone please explain to me the use of (ext2) ?
i partitioned my sd card .. it is showing internal, sd card(fat32) and Sd 2nd part(ext2)
now when i install an app, it goes to internal and when i move to sd card, it goes to sd card(fat32) but this is for my music/files etc NOT APPS, plus i want to save internal space (thats why i did this in the first place)
im using link2sd... please help me understand how to use Sd 2nd part(ext2) to store apps ... thanks

Hi
If you dont have any memory card inserted abd u try to move apps from phone memory to sd card does it move app to internal phone memory that is the 16gb memory or does it give u an error - not enough memory available
Hi Can anyone please check this on his phone.
I read that apps in samsung galaxy s 2 are not moved to sd card but to internal phone memory that is the 16gb phone memory which is listed as sd card in file explorer.
So i presume that having no external sd card one can still move apps from phone memory to sd card (which is acutally the internal 16gb memory) - am i correct or not?
Can someone check this on his phone please - since i want to know whether there is a problem with my phone or not.
ken
Yer you can, the 16gb phone memory is treated as an sd card and so apps2sd would move it to that bit of memory. Not sure wether you can move it from there to an external sd though...
Hi thanks for your reply - so you need to use apps2sd to move them - can't you use the application management application of android itself to do so.
Since the strange thing is this - if i do not have sd card inserted and i try to move app from phone storage to sd card - using the android application management - i get an error unable to move application not enough storage, yet if i have sd card inserted then app is moved. The weird thing is that the app is moved to the internal memory not the external sd card - so why do you need to have an sd card inserted to move app?
ken
my problem is that my is out of space...
i had been using Apps2sd but when i install more apps:
finally i run out of space even if all movable apps are on sd card.
i want opinions from your experience ...
which moves all to sd?
the sd space isnĀ“t a problem im gonna get 32 gb sd card
but how i move everything to sd card
thank you for your comments
Hello guys ....
i don't know if that's the right place to post ....
anyway , i'm using the cm10 v0.32 of badadroid , i wanted to install a lot of apps and games
but the space is very low , i'v tried to swap between SD cards with a flashabel content but no thing happened
and my external SD card just disappear .
Have you tried to move them manually? Some applications show me 0.00kb (in phone memory) and when it is moved manually on SD card everything is fine .
Just Change Vold.fstab ..
why you not ask to CM10 forum?
maybe they will fix it..
Hey guys,
I have only 1.5GB available internal memory in my phone. I can't install HD games, please tell me if there's a way to install and play from sd card only. I have a 32 GB SD card. I have already tried Foldermount and ApptoSD etc. I have also posted my vold.fstab file.
Thanks.

Try partitioning your sdcard with a sd-ext partition, and then installing your apps on there.
I was attempting to root my Alcatel 9007t tablet, so I could move apps to my SD card, unsuccessfully.
So I ended up following some instructions and ended up emulating an SD card on my internal, or something or the other
It renamed my actual SD card to something else
So now, I have rooted my phone, I believe, but using link2sd card I can now move my apps, but I get an error on a certain few apps.
I can't link the data, or what have you, to the SD card, and I think its because of this emulated SD storage
Regardless, I would like to remove the emulated SD storage, and rename my SD card to something normal.
Getting to root this thing was difficult, so I would not want to start this whole thing over.
Or if I could get link2sd to link my data to my SD card , that would be excellent.
I am moderate noob so pls hlp
Footnote: no I cannot link to SD thru my storage settings, maybe is there somehow I can do that. I just want to link or move app data to SD card. This is from a downloaded apk that is making kit difficult. The app seemed to install to SD card, but the data is on the emulated SD on the internal
Halp
You will have issues as apps are not made to be on the sdcard and some apps even block the option.
