Hello All,
With some helpful advice from these forums, I was able to replace the China Unicom boot animation from my Xperia SP with a stock version. FYI, this was located in /system/media on my phone.
However, I still have the China Unicom shutdown animation playing on shutdown. Any ideas on where this might be, and how to remove/replace it?
Please help me get this annoying Chinese branding off my phone. I would sincerely appreciate it.

U should find it on the same folder : /system/media
Deleted
In the map system/app is a file shutdownanimation.apk. Just rename it (rather than delete it) into shutdownanimation.apk.bak and your problem is solved.

did you try to install the "Israel pack" ?
Google "android israel pack" (I can't send links from outside websites yet...)
it did the job on my x10 mini.
and I'm using SlideIt who also support Hebrew (and also anysoftkeyboard)
numbers sometimes are backwards, and i can see the headline in gmail (but i can read the mail in Hebrew)

Push these fonts to /system/fonts, reboot.

i just bought x10mini pro (my first android phone) and trying to install hebrew fonts, following the quoted procedure i get a message where it's said that no results have been found in android market for israelpack...
and i don't know how it works to push the fonts
anyone can help me please?

assuming that you already rooted your phone
1. Google for "android israel pack" , use the first link on Google: "israelpack - Project Hosting on Google Code"
2.use the direct download link
3.copy the IsraelPack_latest.apk file to your SD card.
4.use the application installer (on your phone) to install the pack.
5.on the pack download the Hebrew fonts.
6.restart the phone.
that's it...
worked on my phone, x10mini.
URGENT. Installed israelpack - everything in Chinese now
Rooted Motorola DEFY (2.1) and installed israel pack as described. Selected only the fonts option. After reboot, everything is in Chinese fonts. How do I get out of this? I tried to uninstall israelpack but the buttons have text in Chinese so I do not know what to click on.
Need help badly!

Update: somehow, after rooting the phone and installing israelpack, I got some malware into the phone - everything was displayed in Chinese and ads for new cars were shown at the bottom.
In my attempts to restore defaults, I also unplugged the battery and ... the lovely English fonts came back!! And when I go to a website with Hebrew text, the text is displayed correctly.
All in order now but I wish I knew what malware was installed and how to get rid of it FOR GOOD.

I bought a HTM gt-h8552, i rooted it but my girlfriend deleted a "phone.odex" file. As a result, I can still access and modify the phone settings but it is the only thing i can do anymore. For example, i can't see the homepage.
I haven't found a ROM yet for this phone, if someone could help me, i would be extremely grateful.

Hello Guys,
I use to much information from this forum, but now I really need your help. This is what happen to me. I bought and Alcatel Fierce, when i try to put all my stuff(pictures, apps, etc) from my oldest Galaxy Ace, I used titanium backup, but i forget uncheck apps from the system so Titanium put apk´s in system/app in the Alcatel Fierce... ¿Results? Does not work Dialer, contacts, play store, Calendar... When power on, the message "unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stoped" popup.
What i Tried?
- Factory Reset
- I read to much and Flash Stock Rom is not an option, because no one have this rom(even T-mobile, or not realese in easy way)
- Put apk´s manually, downloaded from internet(FOR THIS IS MY REQUEST TO SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP ME):
Here i get some advance to fix this problem, the dialer works with a dialer.apk downloaded from internet, so i think someone who get this same phone maybe can get a copy of all apps from (system/app/) and lend me that backup.
The system information of my phone:
Original Carrier: T-mobile
Model:Alcatel one touch Fierce
Firmware: 4.2.2
Build Number: L2RUMR0
I appreciate to all people who can give me some help or ideas to fix this; if someone have this phone i sincerely thank to help me to try this metod to fix it.

I have recently discovered the art of creating my own bootloader animation... I downloaded a scene from American Psycho where patrick Bateman kills Paul Allen with an axe. I desperately want this to be my bootloader animation but I am still a little uneasy about how to go about it. Basically I downloaded a gif maker apps and have turned the mp4 into a series of gif with a 24 frps. Now I don't know what to do... If someone could please help me out I'd appreciate it! I have boot box and a few other bootloader animation apps but I need help to finish it... Also if someone could tell me how to put sound on it too that would be great.... Thanks a bunch!
