I own a SGS4 GT-i9505 which I bought from UAE. I updated the os to 4.3 via OTA . It worked well for about 4 months then it started to show up some signal errors. Actually there is no signal at all. When i searched for updates it showed latest firmwares are alredy installed. Now I got rooted my phone and it didn't solved my issue. Now when I try to update my phone via OTA it shows your device is modified. But when I connect with kies 3 there is an official update available.
Now my question is
1. Can I update that available official update through kies to my rooted phone ?
2. How can I get rid of this no network error ?
3. Is it possible to downgrade Galaxy S4 GT-i9505 from4.3 to stock 4.2.2 ? If so is there is any problem with knox app in 4.3 ?

Alright so i recently got a Galaxy S3 and rooted and flashed a leaked jellybean ROM onto it. Now that the official jelly bean has come out i want to update but i cant because kies says "Your device does not support software upgrading via Kies". so next i tried FOTA but that didnt work either: it said "Your device has been modified, software updates are not supported".
And of course i downloaded triangle away and that didnt work, ive tried flashing the official jelly bean update but it didnt boot so i was forced to restore from my modded backup. And ive re-installed kies twice.
any help would be appreciated.
my device is Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300T with vodafone australia currently running the DLH9 hawkish premium light ROM.

I would think your best bet would be to go back to the Galaxy S3 ICS stock rom and then use Kies to update it from there. A lot of the official updates will refuse to do anything if /system has been messed with.

I have a completely stock , non rooted and sim free UK S3.
I got the terrible 4.3 update and suffered for a few weeks like the rest of us.
I then got the OTA MK6 25mb update which has thankfully given me back a phone I like.
However... I now have one small issue ....
If I connect my phone to Kies it says ...
Your current firmware version is not supported by kies for firmware update.
Current firmware version : PDA:MK6 / PHONE:MK6 / CSC:MK6 (BTU)
Why is this happening and what does it mean ?

Everyone will have this at the moment the server Kies connects to doesn't currently recognise the firmware as its only an OTA update at this time

Hi guys, hope all of you are fine doing well. I am using Galaxy S III International Version I-9300 came from UK upgraded to Android 4.3. Today when I connected my phone to KIES, following message appeared
Firmware Upgrade available for your phone:
Current firmware version : PDA:MK6 / PHONE:MK1 / CSC:MK4 (VOD)
Latest firmware version : PDA:NA5 / PHONE:NB1 / CSC:NB1 (VOD)
I've searched on internet, but the latest firmware version as per KIES is also 4.3. do I need to perform this Upgrade or not ? ? ?
NA5 is just a newer build firmware of android 4.3 than MK6... so if you just want your phone updated only then go ahead with it... if you are happy if the current version then I would say stay with it..
But if you feel some lag in your current build then just go ahead with it.. it may improve your user experience a bit as newer build is considered to be with few fixes obviously...

Hi, newbie to the forums but I have the same issue with my wifes S3. The only difference is that the OTA says there is an upgrade, but this fails and says to use Kies.
When using Kies to upgrade it seems to go ok, the device firmware is downloaded/passed to the S3.... But when the S3 reboots and I connect it back to Kies it says the upgrade still needs to happen??
Anyone else getting this problem?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 with Android 4.4.2. (Scrrenshot Attachment) I waited for the OTA Update fpr Android 5.0.1 but it doesn´t come. So i installed Kies and wanted to look if the Software gets the new Firmware. But it says that it is the newest Verson. (2 Attachment) When i try to search for a new Firmware over Tool in Kies i get the Error. (Error Attachment) and the Software lost the connection to the Phone.
Do you know what i can do now?

so i bought my s4 from US and it was unlocked then i moved to egypt the software update didn't work so i rooted my phone via Kingo app and the install firmware for android 5.0.1 lollipop "i was 4.2.2"
after upgrading the message “Unfortunately the Process.com.android.phone Has Stopped” is always on poped up every second
another thing the network is not working showing a small x on the network please help can't find any solution
