[Question] S4 keyboard ask or built in emoji Samsung keyboard - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

I'm trying to find the s4 keyboard apk or a samsung keyboard with emoji built in it. I have the wnn ime support but I have to change the default keyboard. Im running aliance rom build 25. Ive tried downloading different .apks and doesnt seem to work. I know jettrom has the keyboard im looking for and tried to port it over but it kept force closing. Any advice would be appreciated

No... Its definitely possible but not only do u need the keyboard..you also need to do some smali edits in the framework2.jar..
Edit: you could download mean bean and pull his keyboard.. Then I can tell u where and what smali you need to look at in framework2.. If you are familiar with decompiling apks/jars

No im not familiar but im an extremely quick learner. Do I need to download any specific software or apps? Is possible to do it all on my phone? Ive found a decompiler app but couldn't recompile it. I would love to learn how to do it all so I could eventually build my own rom or help a dev but get lost when I start googling info

Yes its definitely easy to get lost..my suggestion to you is focus on one thing at a time..so you want to learn how to decompile apps..and jars.. Search that on this forum and you'll find countless guides..pick one read it..then move on to actually doing it. Then once you got that down move on to what u want to learn next..

New android keyboard addition?

Hi guys, I am currently using the multi-touch keyboard that comes with Axura 2.1 rom, and I wanted to flash the new gingerbread 2.3 android keyboard, but when I did that the multi touch keyboard disappeared and the 2.3 keyboard was there, but I want both! So my question is, how do I add the new keyboard in my input options?

you should be able to pull the apk from the zip file under system/app and then install it as you would any side loaded app. Maybe I'm wrong but thats what i would try first.
rename it, then side load. give that a shot.

I took the .apk, renamed it, and put it in my system/app, but it didn't work. And whenever I tried installing it like a normal apk, it wouldn't install, now what do I do?

Download the zip. In rom manager install cwm. Then hit install from sd card or.install rom, find the zip from the webpage listed above. Check backup when the preinstall box comes up. And hit install. These directions are kinda rough so.if you have any questions pm me. Good luck

Hi, i think your apk is whether mms or conversations apk right?i cant access the link because using mobile device now. But Yes, you might need to replace framework related files and xperiaS Settings apk for getting supports. Or not, you will lost strings linked and will get FC eventually. Normally will be better flash whole rom because all set already. But it's not impossible though. Hope helps.

Just can't ever get a Rom to my liking.

The stock android 4.2.2 keyboard is fine, but it's no where near as accurate as swype. I'd fully suggest just buying it as it's now available on the play store for only .99.

works great on tablets as well
The simplicity is beautiful.
Thank you kindly, sir/ma'am.

The Swype included is different than the Play Store model which is also different from the Swype latest Beta.
The benefit to the Swype from the store for me, personally, is you can disable voice dictation as a key, entirely.

Looking for a certain MMS.apk

What's sup guys. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a ROM (non touchwiz) with the messaging app that converts sms to mms after a certain amount of charaters have been entered. I had this on a particular ROM but I switch often and have wayyyy too many ROM zips on my computer to sort through each one. So if any of you know off top, it would be greatly appreciated. :good: Please no alternatives from the app market. I just want to know the name of the ROM your running that has this feature already on the included messaging app
