Okay guys new build out.
I recommend a clean flash due to all the added features added including KnockOn. Cheers y'all!
Awesome! I'm downgrading from the kk leak in order to flash this! Big thanks for getting us some liquid action.

Don't thank me, thank the awesome DEV's for Liquid! I just put the thread together for 'em. Any questions, just let me know. The build seems pretty darn stable if you ask me, so if you notice anything, don't hesitate to let me know. Definitely my favorite ROM.
Removed.
how install??just flash?need wipe first or later?need full wipe?sorry for the questions.
Well this is nothing short of awesome!! I love liquid, been waiting for kk to stable out on my g2, so this is great to have here. One small issue I encountered is that the when viewing an apps info, the checkbox is there for privacy guard, but there is nothing written next to it. Checking is does nothing. You actually have to go into the main settings/privacy guard/scroll to the app you want it enabled for. I much prefer long pressing the app/tapping app info/and just enabling it there. Might also be a good idea to remove the torch and all its trigger actions - may cause issues.
Build is very smooth, I highly recommend using Slim gapps in order to get full TRDS support (well, with what slim has enabled thus far). And for US users that don't have 5g wifi showing up, just change your wifi location in wifi settings from Europe to US and 5g will magically appear...

Also just noticed Knock on is not working. It is kernel related as far as I know (no option for it, it'll just work when its coded in).

Yes, forgot to mention that. I believe that it was just looked over because, as far as I know, no one that's actually compiling and building this ROM has a G Pad.

From my understanding, which can be rather skewed at times, it shouldn't be TOO hard to implement. Assuming that there aren't any conflicts. But that's my comprehension of it.

I just upgraded to this ROM (V3.0) from LRS, which was 4.2.2 based and the difference is phenomenal!
The speed of the ROM is definitely noticeable.
The audio has been fixed, so no more muffled bass heavy audio.
The camera appears to focus 5 percent better, or may just be a placebo effect but I like it.
And appearance wise, the additional options are great! I don't even need to install gravity box or anything.

I love having my battery bar and charging animation back ( I really missed that ! ) on the subject of battery & charging, could just be me.. but charging seems to be a little slow..
I love to reboot just to watch the Liquid Animation..

There is only one very very minor issue.
When listening to music or playing games, the audio occasionally does this weird lag/skipping noise for fourth of a second. This happens every ten or so minutes.

Yeah, I know what you're talking about.. I believe that its an AOSP issue, or something. Seems to happen when the CPU is put under stress, and it happens on all of my devices that I've flashed a custom ROM on. CM should fix it eventually, and then it'll probably get merged into this ROM.

As good a place as any to post this.
Pio-masaki.com is being shut down due to a Cease and Desist order sent against the host by Google and homeland security. I have no idea why, however until this is sorted out, and to avoid any possible or further legal issues, the site is down for a period of time that can be a day or forever. This includes any and all ROMs, kernels, gapps packages, for any and all devices, that were hosted on pio-masaki.com.
I apologize in advance for this as I know some ROMs are only available at pio-masaki.com, but it is out of my hands, the host has to consider their own safety, and has my 100% agreement and backing in taking down the site until the matter is resolved.
As this is a very large matter, and one that has us incredibly scared, I'm retreating from android for the time being, until I know what it was that I did that was illegal, and may return once this is cleared up and blows over.
After this is cleared up the hosting for pio-masaki.com may still remain offline as the hoster has some personal issues with me at this point and may or may not continue to host for me, should we resolve our differences it may return.
If by some chance Google or whoever sent the C&D notices this, I urge you to contact me as I was responsible for what was hosted, and would genuinely like to know what the issues are so we can get them resolved immediately.
I will be making similar postings or editings to any other ROM threads that link to pio-masaki.com.

How is this different from PAC-man?
This is based on AOKP source with cherry picks from CM, its also a much cleaner implementation of the 3 ROMs into a single ROM. Features wise they are very similar in the offered tweaks and options and is mostly a personal preferance.
Change log:
5.17.13: Initial release
5.17.13 B2: Correct a mistake on the camera and audio side of the tree, updated with chad's most recent commits concerning RIL, speakerphone and camera libs.
5.19.13: Camera now works (as in, it opens, takes a picture and doesn't melt your phone or cause world war 19).
Updated sources
Updated chad's trees
Audio files are now included, for whatever reason there wasn't a call for them, and there were none, so I moved them over and added them into the build.
Added HALO to be built with the ROM. While HALO the APP works, the PA framework for it is still missing, so don't get excited. It's just groundwork being started.
5.25.13 Resynced to chad's trees
Updated sources
BT audio should now work properly
Probably more, I haven't had much time to test
6.01.13 Resynced to chad's trees
Updated sources
Whatever is fixed up to the touch screen fixes chad did today, this isn't included.
Basically just a nightly build.
6.08.13 Synced up to chad's trees
Updated sources
Built against the chad kernel branch, not fb, crpalmers kernel may work with this build
6.12.13
Halo implemented
6.26.13
Synced up with Chad again, sound/UI/more
Synced up with ReVolt sources
Just an updated build while I catch up on the changes that have occured in my little vacation
7.24.13
Finally caught ReVolt back up with PAC and Carbon
Synced with the same updates PAC and Carbon received last week
From here down only use 4.3 GApps!
8.19.13
Updated to 4.3
Latest work from chad and friends
Compatible with crpalmer's latest masterpiece
BUGS:
Usual CM10.1 bugs exist for the most part here as well, uses chad0989's trees and kernel source for base.
No settings or ability to set Menu to the app switcher key, I'm working on this.
Instructions:
Please clean flash this, there's so many extra settings that dirty flashing will likely cause problems. If you dirty flash, please don't report any issues until you flash clean and the issue occurs again!
Please use a proper 4.2.2 Gapps package, using inversed or any modded versions can and likely will cause issues, please use the current 4.2.2 from goo.im, if you use inverted or modded Gapps, please don't report issues until you clean flash with a proper package from goo.im!
If you are not S-OFF you will need to extract the boot.img and flash it separately, either flashGUI or fastboot, your choice, needs done.
S-OFF:
Download the ROM for your needs, CDMA or GSM.
Download the current 4.2.2 Gapps from goo.im
Place files someplace useful
Boot into recovery
This part assumes you know how to operate your installed recovery
Wipe system
Factory reset
Wipe dalvik
Flash ROM
Flash Gapps
Reboot
Let settle for a few minutes after booting
Setup phone as usual
If you have issues on first boot, flash the ROM only, then after it boots, reboot and flash Gapps then manually setup your phone in settings.
CDMA version: for use with Verizon, NOT for any other network.
GSM version: for use with GSM carriers, NOT for Verizon.

FAQS
If you didn't read the bugs list in the first post, go back up and read that now, asking the same questions over and over is a trademark of xda and I hate it, please read the change log and bug list before posting questions or reporting issues.
Q. I want to report an issue, can I just post it in your thread without reading or doing any basic troubleshooting, googling, reading or wiping?
A. Well you CAN, you may be ignored or flamed for it. Please read above, and please read the Bugs and Change Log lists before reporting anything. Please flash a clean download, flash a clean wipe, and don't restore stuff from TiBu, thats basic troubleshooting, check if the issue persists, if it does, then feel free to post about it.
Q. Is this daily driver ready?
A. Can't answer that, what a person needs from their phone varies from person to person, what I may consider fine for my use may be 500 kinds of broken for another user. Example, I don't use my camera often, maybe once a month, and my BT has never been turned on for the last 5 devices, for me broken BT audio and camera doesn't make it a non daily driver ROM. Please read and decide for yourself if features included outweigh the broken, or if broken things are required for your comfortable use of your device.
Q. All this crap is fixed and its working great, why is it still a WIP?
A. I consider it a WIP because things aren't 100%. Most things are 90% or less, audio is 90%, BT is 90%, camera is more like 75%, etc. Until most or all of those are 100% I consider this a work in progress. That's just hardware, there's also ROM issues to consider. I'll remove WIP when camera, audio and BT are fully functional, meaning BT audio/data/whatever works, audio streaming works (doesn't have issues via streaming services), has proper audio routing and uses the amplifier, and camera can consistantly take pictures, record videos, and not crap out randomly. Basically all hardware works normally. This isn't a shot at anyone's work, this is how I am about my ROMs, not saying anything about anyone else's work.
Q. How can I build my own versions?
A. The DNA is now an officially supported ReVolt device, the necessary files can be retrieved and directions found in the revolt-rom git. Further build questions can be directed to me if needed.
Q. Phone crashes everytime I answer a call, end a call, or look at my phone!
A. This happens for some GSM users when the ROM doesn't automatically choose GSM/WCDMA Preferred. This can be set at:
Settings>Wireless & Networks/More>Mobile Networks>Network Mode> Tick GSM/WCDMA Preferred. Toggle airplane mode sometimes helps to get the radio to reset and pick up the changes.
Q. Your files all download as index.php!
A. This happens on certain browsers, namely the stock browser and Chrome. You can either use another browser (naked and dolphin don't do this) or simply rename the file to something useful, like "piostotallyepicawesomesaucedrizzledromthatrocksyourass.zip"

+1 this is the first device I've had without multi boot. I have multirom on my nexus 7 and safe strap on my bionic. I don't think we have enough room to multi boot anyway though. Maybe like 2 ROMs at a time. Fwiw I tried getting bootmanager to work and I couldn't figure it out.

Tried to install the ROM with TWRP, but it kept on saying Fail. Downloading again. Might have been a corrupt download. Looking forward to try this. Been wondering if this would every be ported over. ^__^
Brilliant ROM with great potential. Really fast. Only issue so far its twice rebooted on me. Once during a call. The other on opening an app. Will keep testing it see if that problem corrects itself or if more appear.

I honestly didn't check, it kept saying FAIL on TWRP. I did however just flash the AT&T Version of the ROM and that seems to working fine. Just had to change the build.prop. So far I'm really liking it. Will play around with it for a day or two and give feedback on the AT&T forum. Great work though!

Sounds very Promising! Loving this Rom.
Will do.
I'll wait for you to come out of beta. Then will try. A donation is a must. Can you please make sure the volume sounds are good. I use rootbox and ringtones, notifications, etc sounds are really low. I can hardly hear my phone when it rings. So far did not find any sound mod. The one I found only works on TouchWiz based roms.

Just downloaded the update. Flashed no problems at all. Everything seems stable so far. Will give another report in a day or two. Thanks for this!
nice
I like this rom, hope to use it as a daily. I like the support so far from the developer. There are some things lacking like PA settings, battery circle mod would also be nice. The transitions between screens is really unique, makes the rom nice. Hope for some future builds, so far RootBox is still top on customizability. Thanks for the rom, will keep using it.

Help
I am very happy everyone is enjoying my build both official and unofficial ones , both there is a little problem ,as I am from India bandwidth here is very costly and due to fair usage crap my high speed(2mbps) connection bandwidth is almost over.I would be very grateful if you people would help me buy more data ,so as to provide you with updated builds for your device.
Still I will try to provide you with as much updates as my pocket can buy ...

Notice!
Support on this thread is for LiquidSmooth ROM related issues only.
While we do not mind helping, its getting impossible to sort through issues that are ROM related or not. Persistent non-ROM related issues are best suited for the Verizon Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting Section.
Below is a few things I would appreciate you list when you are having issues so we have as much information as possible when trying to help you with your problems.
Is this a Clean flash
Is this the stock kernel
What firmware revision are you on
What gapps package are you using
Have you had this issue on other ROMs
Do you have any apps that change/modify system preferences (Xposed, etc)
Do you have any task killers installed
If you are having app issues, are they running off of internal memory or extSdCard
I'm so upset I got a replacement and I'm not able to use this until safestrap is updated some more. I wish the best but if that day ever comes this will be the first rom I load I cannot wait for that day lol. Thank you devs!

One bug I've noticed is that omniswitch does not respond to holding down the home button to bring up the recents app (the slim recents does).

You must enable that I think. Don't remember if it's part of the recents ram bar deal or not.

I don't know what's going on with Bluetooth. After every call Bluetooth process flips out and crashes. A reboot fixes it but isn't a real fix.
Don't know if this is a problem or issue with all aosp roms, but I noticed whenever I put my phone in my pocket it switches to 3g. Takes a minute or two to go back to LTE when I take it out. This in an area that I have never switched off 4gLTE on TW
Just tried installing this and so far the only issue I have is that whenever I try to swipe on the keyboard, it FC's. This is with the stock keyboard that came with the ROM. I did install SlimKat minimal GAPPS (latest). If I press each key individually, its fine just no swiping. Just for the hell of it, I did make a TiBu of SlimRoms AOSP keyboard and restored (app+data) over the LiquidSmooth version. Still the same thing. Not sure if another setting is conflicting with the swipe features?
I am using Nova Launcher if it makes any difference. Also did installed ROM with AGNI kernel and yes I did a full wipe everything and tried stock kernel. Both have the same swipe issue. Once it FC's, the keyboard does not pop up or work again and the menu/keys also stop functioning. Have to reboot for everything to work again. Have tried clearing the cache of the AOSP keyboard, no go.
Any suggestions?

Samsung has the proprietary drivers for cell signal. The RIL for CM Roms cannot obtain the same level of signal. I've compared this countless times with CM vs TW, and TW will always have the better signal/data strength. This is especially pronounced in areas of weaker signal. You'll notice that you'll drop LTE, and it will take a while to get it back. It has been much improved, but if signal is a must for you, TW cannot be beaten. Sometimes you can compare the dbm side by side and it will show the same, but real world use will have AOSP roms suffering more with their signal. Sucks, but it is what it is. I used to always flash aosp for speed and then signal issues would annoy me (work in buildings with poor service to start) and would end up on TW again. Ymmv

Install the Google keyboard the aosp keyboard doesn't work for swiping anymore.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
I prefer the AOSP keyboard because it has all the accents above the keys. The Google version is all on one key. I'm currently on SlimKat since it works just fine.
Another issue I came across. When I'm trying to set the download directory in Dolphin browser. It won't let me select my external SD card, gives me an error telling me that the SD card isn't mounted or to disable USB mass storage. It is already mounted because I'm able to access it via ES file explorer.

I'm swiping just fine on AOSP, which I hate. I wish I could get my Swype to work on AOSP ROMs.
How are you guys doing battery wise? It seems...thirsty on my phone. Otherwise, it's great.

Any progress on fixing the bluetooth issue? I see on g+ that it's not isolated to the note2.

Whats not working?
NFC - I hate you, NFC......
SD Cards bigger than 32gb's have issues - possible fix soon.
Probably wireless charging but have yet to test it.
And that's about it, everything else seems to be working - so you tell me, community. Minor bugs or glitches here and there mostly upon first or second boot but after that they work themselves out and never seem to happen again. For instance....
Welcome screen takes a second and then it MAY attempt to activate the phone - end this call and hit skip. It is pointless, will not work but also won't affect your ability to connect to the network or use your phone number.
Google Apps MAY have some issues on initial boot. If you are unable to connect via hangouts or download via playstore, go to settings->apps-> and delete data for google play services and google framework and then reboot.
Using Launcher3(Vanir's default Launcher), if you choose to get rid of the Google Search Bar it makes the delete and uninstall icons invisible. You can still remove apps from the homescreen but the X is invisible. It's weird and I'm working on a fix.
FULL INSTRUCTIONS
Download ROM and GAPPS to internal memory
Reboot into TWRP Recovery
Make a BACKUP(JUST IN CASE)
Go back to Main Menu and select Wipe->Advanced Wipe and select System, Data, Dalvik and Cache(DO NOT SELECT INTERNAL) and wipe.
Go back to Main Screen and select Install
Find Vanir zip, select it and install
Press back and install GAPPS
Reboot
PROFIT!
Special Note: On first boot, phone activation is pointless, simply end the call and then press skip - you will still be connected to the network, disregard the warnings(I'm working on a fix so you don't have to see that).

LOLLIPOP!!
MAJOR UPDATE!
LOLLIPOP HAS ARRIVED!!!
Using Vanir's Updater in About Phone you can update to Android 5.0 Lollipop! Expect there to still be bugs and a lack of features(FOR NOW). Always a good idea to make a nandroid before doing anything like this just in case. If you have issues please refer to the official Vanir Google+ page found HERE.
Also a good idea to download DHO GAPPS 5.0 found HERE just in case you need to flash it if google apps won't update correctly.
Now a personal word from me, please, if you decide to upgrade at this time and have issues, use the Google+ page posted above. FOR THE TIME BEING I WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD VANIR FOR KIT KAT - so any bugs found in Lollipop will be best discussed there and NOT in this forum. Use the Google+ page, please!
HAVE FUN GUYS AND FLASH SAFELY!

I'm glad to hear it, I've actually had this running for a few days but was trying to squash bugs before release. For instance in the original build, bluetooth wasn't working, the data indicator showed "roaming indicator off" instead of "sprint", turning the phone off and plugging in a charger just booted the phone instead of charging it and sdcard didn't work at all. I fixed all those but NFC still seems to be an issue for all of the AOSP roms. BTW - if you notice higher than average battery drain, check the nfc service and force close it - it shouldn't come back unless you turn it on. Initially I got 6+ hours of sot so battery life is impressive especially considering the smooth performance. Obviously results vary because I had issues with gapps others haven't but just an FYI. Everything else seems to run super smoothly.
Not bad for my first rom build. I had lots of help though lol.
installed before two hours everything is smooth no fc and really fast!!! works perfectly with the gsm cards full signal bars!!!
the only thing i personally want from the next update if possible off course is a bit louder sound for incoming calls!
GREAT JOB CONTINUE LIKE THAT!!!!

I am really Glad to see such Good Rom Brought to us by you guys, Till your team is here we can expect more AOSP Roms here, I would suggest If you could look into geting Mokee and Liquid Smooth and a Kernel for AOSP Roms. Our Device is very powerful but we are lacking behind in development, As I new to G3 I am learning things here.
Is it possible to add a "status bar pull down" button to the Home Touch Buttons on the bottom of the screen in this ROM?
Darn...small hands.

FAQ
FIRST AND FOREMOST
HOW TO PROPERLY POST A BUG - Guide to logcats, dmesg and last_kmsg.
Coming in and saying "XYZ isn't working", isn't as helpful as some might think. Even if your intentions are good i.e., making this rom better, I (and any developer for that matter)needs more info. Logcats are the way to do this. If it's a kernel panic, last_kmsg is where it's at. Without supplying me with proper logs I may not be able to help and you may be ignored. Sorry to be harsh but we all have lives outside of xda(hopefully) and time is pretty precious.
GPS isn't working! HELP!
While it works for me, this has been a known issue on LG phones and AOSP roms since I owned my LGOG. First thing to try is to restore your stock backup, get a lock for a few minutes then restore the rom. The only other issue may be with your particular version of GAPPS. Sometimes Google Services can act funny with location services. I use PA Nano and have had zero issues with GPS.
Why won't NFC work?
This is a bug for pretty much every rom right now. We are all working on a fix and as soon as one is available, I will rebuild and reupload the rom.
My 64gb+ sd card won't work!!
While exFAT is usually preferred over FAT32, exFAT has been hit or miss so USE A COMPUTER to format your sd card to FAT32 if exFAT doesn't work for you. DO NOT USE TWRP OR STOCK LG - USE A COMPUTER!!!!

There is more to come - we still need to work on NFC fixes and bluetooth for all of the roms but I figure I will get as many working builds as I can and then rebuild with the fixes once we have them. The only one that's frustrated me beyond belief is Omni - for every build error I fix, three more pop up, lol.
In any case, this and EOS are the only ones I am posting this weekend. Next weekend I should be able to build some more.
dude, you are insane, I've been wanting PAC-ROM on this thing since day one, looks like I'm ditching 5.0 to try this
Edit: working great, no issues thus far, may have just found my new daily driver
Loving this rom! Thank you for all that you do.
Think you cook up mahdi rom?

Possibly, my buddy Ivan built it for the ls970 back when I had it. I have a lot of stuff on my plate and my hard drive is quickly filling up with source code(vanir kk & Lp, liquid kk, carbon kk, Omni kk, pac kk & Lp, eos kk, dirty unicorns kk, rin kernel, etc....). As well as a few @aheeejd had mentioned. But I'll add that to the list as well as axxionpop once that's ready.
You just have me thinking of all the stuff I'm doing and I still have bootanimations and themes to do as well, lol. I think I need a bigger coffee pot.....

Not that you don't already have your hands full, but I gotta ask, this post kinda suggest you may try to build DU kk. Am I just reading too much into it lol ?
This entire subforum is almost entirely populated by you. Great work. We're lucky to have you here.

Yes I was planning on it. Same with Omni although I havent been able to get a successful Omni build yet. I haven't tried with du yet, I just have the source.

Is there any way to enable lock screen rotation with this rom? If so, I can't find it in settings. Maybe a build prop edit?
Yep, build prop edit did the trick.

Usually - not much. But during the week I don't do much with this hobby of mine. It's the weekend though, so time to get some stuff done.

Let me know if Color OS pops up on your list. Runs amazing. Guess I'm one of the few oppo people. Lmao. Its one that is worthy in my opinion as its a different ui element all together. I also play around a bit with 11s. Thanks for the awesome spillover of aosp BTW. Hats off for your ports. The community is growing. These also support 1440p. Thanks to one plus and find 7. Peace

I checked their git - ColorOS based on Android(I had never really heard of it)but it seems they are still on JB? I'm all for different UI elements but so much of their source documentation isn't even in english. It seems similar to MIUI although the UI doesn't look like MIUI - I probably wont get to it though.
Truth is I only have a few more(3-5) I want to put out for our phone because I am also building one myself combining elements of AOSP(Using carbon and vanir as a base) and LG stock.
How do you update prl? I can't send texts or make calls. Thank you. I loved the rom until I realized I couldn't communicate.

You have to do that on stock, can't do on aosp. So restore a stock backup, update prl & profile, & get a good GPS lock for good measure. As soon as you get GPS lock, reboot to recovery & flash this, or restore a backup of whatever aosp ROM you've got backed up
