Debloat? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

How can i debloat my galaxy s4? its rooted and i have Safestrap, however im running stock firmware not a custom rom.

Try Hyperdrive, it's better than stock.
Or just use titanium backup to freeze whatever you don't want - freezing hides from app drawer/etc.

Last time I used hyper drive battery was ****. Well not very well compared to stock.

Well some people use a one click debloater that can be found in these forums.. I prefer to do it myself though using Titanium Backup. Its a good idea though to " freeze " the apps your looking to get rid of first then run your phone for a few days to make sure everything still works good. Then you can uninstall them. Or at least back them up to your external SD card before uninstalling. There's also lists on here that people made of everything they've safely removed. Good luck!

Is anyone else noticing their Google now search is not working? This is happening on two of my devices running different roms....
I long press menu to activate Google search then type whatever it may be into the box and click search then nothing pops up.

I had the widget stop working. Even though I could "Google" fine from the web browser, the widget would just sit there. I trashed the widget and reinstalled it. It worked once, to early to tell.

Hmm. Well it appears that some of you are having the exact same issue as I am and some are not. Those who are having the issue, what kernel are you running? Any mods? Thanks

It's also happening on some note 2s. I have no clue what is causing it

It's probably worth noting whether people are on wifi or cell network. I had that problem yesterday on 4g, but it worked just fine later on wifi. I'm running the ME7 build from GatesJunior with the stock (MDK) kernel.
No results on 4g. Dark slide me7 stock kernel.

I'm on the stock ROM and find the battery life pretty amazing.
The one time I had bad battery rundown was due to "Google Services" running amok - I fixed that by uninstalling the updates then reinstalling them from the play store.

Can't connect to 4G/LTE

Just got this MDK S4 so I need a little help from the pros here..
I don't see anywhere where I can select my APN and I can't get 4G at all. I've flashed the mk2 modem and here is what my settings look like...
I'm on AOKP 4.4 and I've flashed a couple other roms like Beanstalk and Slim and it's the same thing.
I'm sure I'm just over looking something.

Not sure if this is even rom related. I threw my sim card from my old s4 into this one. Everything seemed to work off the jump but maybe I have to call Verizon? I'm back on stock MDK now and still no 4g even after getting into apn settings and verifying everything. Not really sure.

Well I forgot that this phone connected up to my wifi at the house and I wasnt on 4g/lte
I was pre occupied with fixing this thing. When I got it it had both TWRP and CWM installed and it was screwing things up big time. Phone was bootlooping etc.. Just not acting normal. Did a full wipe.. Then I wasc teaching myself how to root MDK and Loki and new throw TWRP back on. Anyways I didn't notice that itv actually never said connected to 4g. Dumb mistake on my part.

The lady I spoke with at Verizon said I should have good just to pop my sim into this one and go. . However sometimes it doesn't take all the way and you need to call. Figure going from one s4 to another would be easy but she said because they are the same exact phone pretty much that it may have screwed up the id numbers more easily. Hey you got me. Course now I have to wait until I'm home and have both phones powered off and on front of me. Suppose I was too eager to fire this one up and get my aosp on .
Hey thanks for checking in though. .. pretty silly mistake on my part but I'm human what can I do
Sent from my SCH-I545 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Well not that this really should have been a thread in the first place but...
A new sim card fixed the issue. They said that sometimes for no reason at all you'll need a new one when switching between phones.

Yeah no point in jumping the gun, although I'm starting to jump on this ART bandwagon, 4.4 AOSP is noticeably faster with it enabled.

Yea Art runs great as long as you don't use xposed or any other custom apps. That's the only thing that keeps me from sticking with it. Although Liquid is building a lot of the things I used xposed for right into their rom.

That's what scares me lol. It has a 3300mah stock battery and it has pogo pins on the back so you can connect a flip case they sell that has a 1200mah battery built in. So 4500mah is pretty good but it doesn't beat the piece of mind of having a few charged batteries ready to go.
