Hey guys!
I´m on a rooted N7105 with a 4.3 Stock Odexed rom, so I have certain limits of what I can mod. I have recently posted a link to the S3-forum where I found a weatherwidget that can be used on a Odexed Rom and it worked like a charm.
With permission from the original OT I present you a working S5-style weatherwidget. It still has the stock look inside the weatherapp, but it has the right backgrounds in the widget itself.
To install:
1: Backup and delete the original Accuweatherwidget.apk but leave Accuweatherwidget.odex
2: Reboot the phone
3: Push the modded Accuweatherwidget.apk to System/app and sett permissions
4: Reboot phone
5: Clear data of Weather Daemon, Weather Widget and Weather Widget Main
6: Reboot phone
Done!
Note! Due to the Clear Night background I had to crop it somewhat orthodox... so when it "zooms" when flipping locations it looks cut of.
I´m looking into making the Weatherwidget Main with the right icons and backgrounds but this will have to do for now...

I don´t know what to say... first time I used it I couldn´t see it either. But after following the instructions to the letter I got it working.

The only advise I can give is to follow the instructions TO THE LETTER
It´s the only way I know how to help. I have done it on several phones and only after following the instructions exactly it worked for me.

I had the same error but I put the apk in sdcard and deleted it from system/app and installed it from there with no errors
Edit: Widgets doesnt work on this launcher is it a bug or what??

You need to install it as system app. Follow this:
1. Download the APK
2. Start Root Explorer
3. Copy the APK to /system/app/
4. Change permissions to rwx-rwx-rwx
5. Reboot your phone
6. All done!

I can create a flashable zip for recovery to install the whole pack for the people who don't feel bothered doing it manually.
If I do and you are going to try it out (I will not be testing it) then I suggest for you to do a nandroid backup.

1.) Select your picture and resize to:
(750 x 1250)
2.) Download - http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390288116658474160
3.) Extract the zip
4.) Put the file in sd card
5.) Copy your picture to the folder - morph/system/app/systemUI.apk/res/drawable-xhdpi
6.) Copy and paste two more times and rename each and every one of them - back.png - pulldown.png - pulldown_img.png
7.) Zip - all four of the ones in the file
8.) Backup your SystemUI.apk (just in case)
9.) Flash in cwm, twrp, ect.
10.) Enjoy! :thumbup::thumbup:

A BIG thanks for your post cause i was definitely looking for this !!
I did and follow all the steps but when i flashed it through TWRP but i get an error message telling me that it couldn't find "Morph" and "SystemUI.apk".... :-/ So nothing was modify...
Any Idea ?
I have the Alliance Rom if it's could help.

Strange, doesn't work ?!
Did it, with transparent pngs and black ones... Status bar disappeared, without FC. With black pngs, home screen just turn black!?
I'm on rooted stock deodexed MA6. Attaching Sistem UI and zip... What I am doing wrong!? I would be gratefull for this!

Mr S_sway , why do u post something when u you really dont have the knowledge ? the systemui.apk first needs to be decompiled and then the xml file needs to be edited to support the background image in the notification background
.. the method u have posted is of no use , unless the person is using the modded systemui.apk
the stock systemui.apk is not modded and OMEGA Roms also have the SystemUI.apk which is not modded to support background images
so guys dont waste your time downloading the zip file and trying to get the background image , unless u have the rom with modded systemui.apk that supports notification background , this will not work .

If you don't have the backup then send me the framework-res.apk file of another galaxperia v2 user..
Ps. he should not have tablet settings UI
Any way If you have a nandroid backup then you can access it through custom recovery...

Wouldn't you help people more by just updating the first post with those mods and the second post with screenshots instead of making a new post for each one of them? :good:
Or you can combine both methods, keep posting a new post for every new mod or screenshot, but also keep updating first and second post with links for the mods and screenshots. :good:

yes you can by navigating to system/framework/
you will find framework-res.apk copy this to so other folder in sdcard and upload
remember you have to send the framework-res.apk of other person who dosen't have tablet ui on galaxperia v2
or else you can wait for some 15 days and i'll post the restore link ...as i'm having exams........

Hey guys presenting a modded stock clock widget for galaxy y..... I have just modded it to look cooler....:victory:
STEPS TO INSTALL
1. Copy the clockwidget.apk to system/app using root explorer
2. Set permissions to rw--r--
3. Reboot
OR
Install directly using system apps installer.....

I have OMEGA ROM V17 as a ZIP ... But I dont know how to get Splanner extracted and how to get it into my 900F ??

Not to bust your shoes, but this is a perfect example of why we do a nand bu first. Use root Explorer to find splanner in your zip, copy to system/app (might be in system/privapp) and set permissions.

I have Omega V17. Zip on my external SD Card.. And in root explore I have found the Splanner folder that contains the Splanner UPG APK file..
But on my system/app I have two Splanner front S6 and they have other names than the one from S5..
What to do.. ?

I would do a backup, wipe system, then dirty flash the ROM and wipe caches.
