[SOLVED] USB computer connection (all options) is gone! - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hi guys
I'm having this very strange problem for days and I just can't fix it:
The USB computer connection itself is totally gone, from the status bar. (see screenshots).
Here is how it happens
I'v been using JB 4.1.2 + Bionic Root + Boot Menu Manager ever since they were available. During this period, I'v flashed/backed up/restored the system like hundred times. This problem never happened.
A few days ago, I tried to restore the (laggy) system, but when it's booted, root was gone. Tried several times, same result.
So I started RSD Lite and re-installed a clean copy of JB, and then tried to grant root with Bionic method just like before, everything went fine, but root was actually not available.
And then I found out that the USB computer connection itself is totally gone from the status bar. (it could be gone already before I tried to root the phone, can't clearly remember it)
I tried other computers, same thing. The device can be detected through ADB but the USB computer connection never shows up.
Has anyone ever experienced this problem? Can someone suggest anything that I can do to fix it? Thanks very much.

OK, I just tried the Chinese one-click root master, and it worked.
Not sure why the Bionic method doesn't work anymore, but anyway, now everything's back...root, bmm, usb options.
This thread can be marked as solved or deleted. Thanks.

have you tried some other pc ??
I've had the same problems, and seem to have narrowed it down. I originally had work email on my phone and it caused my phone to not connect to the PC due to security policies. I removed the email and it started working again. However at some point it stopped working again. I had rooted my phone and so I thought maybe that had something to do with it. After trying everything, I found a thread that mentioned factory reset may help. I tried this and sure enough it came back. Until the next day. It stopped working again. I did a factory reset once more, and it started working again. This time I skipped google login (restore). I installed an app at a time and reset the phone. All working still, After a while I got the confidence to restore everything and so far, all working.
My best guess, is the google backups was backing up and restoring something that was causing the MTP driver to fail. It's definitely something on the phone that causes this problem (in my case at least). Since I went through a clean backup / restore cycle now, it doesn't seem to be happening.
Hope this helps!
try on another usb port,off/on usb debugging again, reboot phone ,troubleshoot connection error on kies ,then connect to try , make sure to use original data cable

[Q] [Fixed] MTK6589 - Flashtool readback killed BT/Wifi/GPS

Hello,
I've bought a new device - Evolveo StronPhone Q4, MTK6589 based phone. The stock ROM is basically vanilla Android 4.2.1. I've successfully rooted it using Framaroot.
Then I've created scatter file using MTK Droid Tools (all partitions that were formated were ext4).
Then I've decided to create a backup before I start playing with it, so I've tried backing up flash using SP Flash Tool (using Readback), it was running fine and downloaded approx. 20%, then crashed. I've tried that once or twice more times, always failed. Now after I plug it in, windows display "This device can perform faster" and FlashTool won't detect the device. If I connect it without battery with VolDn key pressed, FlashTool detects it and I get S_DL_GET_DRAM_SETTING_FAIL.
However, the phone boots fine, just GPS/Wifi/BT is not working. (No GPS icon appers, and I get errors like BT_open: WMT turn on BT fail in dmesg). Looks like an issue with kernel/HW issue.
Any ideas what could have gone wrong and how to fix it?
In the meantime, I've asked manufacturer for a stock FW image, but I'm not sure it helps...
Update: Okay, I have no clue what just happened. However I've unrooted, reverted everything I've modified on the phone so far so I'll be able to return it to manufacturer as "deffective"... And just for the curiosity connected it to the computer and tried downloading ROM one more time. And it succeeded - I'll upload the ROM once I get access to faster internet connection. I've removed the battery (phone was stuck in Preloader mode because I cancelled ongoing RAM test.), put it back and now everything works.
So, it looks like everything is fine now, however I'd love to know what happened, if you have any clue, please let me know!

[Q] Phone almost bricked | How to fix it?

Hi guys, my phone is almost bricked but not totally bricked. Because I can still turn it on, and turn it off. No other method/function can be used or activated at all.
My Phone is Qmobile A500, and I was trying to Root it, I used MtkDroidTools and I gained root access, which was root shell; from another forum I came to know that the root access I gained was temporary, and was lost when I restarted my phone. So now I do have SuperSU app but no root access.
I have MobileUncle tools and the Recovery was changed to CWM. I tried installing a new ROM but it was aborted.
Now afterthis, each time I restart my phone, it keeps showing me tons of messages saying [application_name] has stopped, they don't even go away. File Manager is not working, music isn't opening.
Even if I connect my mobile to a PC is has stopped showing on now. Every file in the mobile is present in the mobile, it won't get deleted no matter even if I format my phone too; even from PC, I tried deleting the images I had a bit time earlier, but the images were still present in the phone storage after the reboot. The ROM I copy/pasted in the Phone storage is not present there.
What should I do now? Any help here?

[Q] Phone disconnects from pc when any file is moved.

This bizarre bug just started happening yesterday.
Whenever I try to connect my phone via usb, and move or interact with a file in any way, the window freezes completely. And any attempt to reconnect the phone fails.
I'm running stock android kit Kat 4.2 and my phone was never rooted.
I tried switching cables, I tried switching computers, I did a factory reset, and I'm still experiencing this problem.
This just started happening yesterday, I spent all day looking for answers, tried usb debugging, could not find anything similar, and nothing works...
If anyone knows anything about this I would really appreciate help, I'm at a complete loss here.
I think I figured it out.
The problem was a corrupt file.
Thanks anyway I guess...

Issues With Honor 8

After I stilled root and xposed with TWRP for this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/development/twrp-t3566563 , it worked fine, but after I tried installing a different type of root, xposed framework stopped working as it should. I tried using a backup of complete stock, but when I booted the device with the restored backup, it was like only half of the ROM was restored. I was missing muliple of stock apps, and thos that was there didn't work. Not even settings.
Then I did my attempt at flashing the stock EMUI with the "dload" folder method. But every time I try it just says "Update Failed".
As I last resort I went to custom ROM's cause I need a device with basic Internet and phone supper atleast. But when I flash ANY custom ROM, it just reboots a few times and the screen stay black. It's like the device is still on, and I know this because when I plug it in my PC in this stage, windows gives out a unknown device plugged in.
I have been trying and googeling for the past two days. And I really am lost...
I apriciate any attempt to help me!
