Unfortunately system UI has stopped - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Currently running Resurrection Remix 4.0.7 and this is driving me mad. My wallpaper and notification bar disappear, sometimes it comes right back, sometimes it doesn't. It happens nearly every time I do anything.
I did a wipe and reinstall yesterday and if anything it's just gotten WORSE. I'm using Nova Launcher if that makes a difference. I've tried everything to sort this; wiped cache, dalvik, wiped and re-installed etc.
Any suggestions?

Check the md5 of your download, if it's correct then try a super wipe and reflash.
Don't install any mods or apps until you've tested fully.

[Q] CM 7 Force close

I was originally running Trigger (CM7 based ROM) but about a week ago I began to get the occasional force close. It was mainly with Facebook and the browser. But for the past few days I have been getting force close for almost every app.
In the beginning, when I would reboot it would get a little better but it doesn't help anymore.
I have already factory reset and switched to CM7 (7.1.0.1) but I restored using Titanium Backup. I also ran the gapps addon file as well.
Anyone know how to solve this problem? or am I just going to have to completely factory reset and re-download everything...
(and I haven't installed any new apps from when this started to now)
Thanks!
Edit:
In case anyone else was having the problem. I just went though and cleared all data and cache in all apps and then reran the gapps add-on file (because it seems that gapps was crashing more) then I rebooted and haven't had a problem since.

Play Store Bugs

Hi everyone, this is my first post and I precise that I have done as many and accurates research for my problem, without answers (on both XDA Forum and Google). So this is my problem:
I have a Samsung Galaxy SII AT&T(obviously) and since a while, I am unable to download any applications from the market properly. This is how it happens:
-When I accept the terms and launch the download, it keeps on "Downloading" without starting properly and is cancelled after several minutes.
-When I accept the terms and launch the download, it keeps on "Downloading" during several minutes before starting.
-And some VERY RARE times the download starts automaticly just after hitting "Accept..."
I also noticed that when I try to download applications from the play store via the mobile network, all works fine but whenever I go back on the WiFi network, I face the same issue. I have also tried to flash different ROMS(JellyBean). My phone is also rooted.
Thank you for your consideration and help if possible.
Did you try to clear data from Google Play and Google Play Services?

Yes I did. And it seems that it's a problem with all Google's services:
-I can't watch any videos from on YouTube, same problem of infinite loading without starting.
It's not a problem of slow connection as I download ROMs and other stuf without major or significative network speed problem.
By the way, thank you for your care.
Wipe everything and do a fresh install.
This what I do each time by reflashing the same ROM or flashing others one.
-Wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache partition
-format system(when asked)
-wipe dalvik cache
-Flash the rom (and latest gapps when necessary)
-Reboot system... set up my phone and restore user apps via Titanium Backup.
Also of course if you change your DPI to a non stock value or use inverted apps packages that can cause the issue. But in assuming you know that already so if that's not the issue i dunno what it could be.
No inverted apps neither non stock dpi since it happens even from MIUI roms to Shostock3 pasing by AOKP and CM ROMs. I'll try with a different WiFi later as I think it's a problem with my WiFi but it was working fine before those 4 weeks.
Edit: Problem solved! Looks like it was an issue from nowhere.. Anyway, Thank you all for your help, it's good to get one's updates back

[HELP:'(]something in data/ causes ui sound not to hear

Ok so. Yesterday I was testing around some new games. When I installed a shooter game that I found Panda Mobile Security recognized it as a generic virus so I uninstalled the app just like the antivirus told me to. Then after some time playing the other games I had found I noticed that most of the UI sounds were not working.(like when i tap somewhere the usual "tick" doesn't hear or when I type my PIN in the reboot I dont hear the "tick" either. So I tried to reboot hoping that would fix it but it didn't help me at all. At last I decided to reflash my ROM without wipes and I was sure that was gonna fix that. After reflashing my ROM again, wiping cache, dalvik cache and fixing permissions nothing happened at all. Then I tried wiping only /data in CWM and wiping cache, dalvik cache and fixing permissions and thus time when I rebooted the sound was back!!!! So the "file" causing this problem is in /data. Any suggestions? Help please
I think I should also mention that the other sounds(like in games and music) is perfectly fine and I'm running CM9 4.0.4.

System force closing

Is anyone else having issues with the system force closing with the fault "android. com UI has stopped"or something to that effect? It's too the point where when it happens, you can't even clear it with wiping both caches. When I install any rom, I always do full wipes of everything including system and data. Sometimes I will also wipe internal SD.
I thought it was a conflict with Google apps so I started to do installs of all the none touchwiz roms on this forum and keeping track of what I loaded and didn't load. What I found was, that nothing was consistent. This is really starting to bug me and I'm thinking that it may be my phone causing the issues and not the roms.
I have tried both TWRP and CWM recoveries and it is the same with both.
The last flash with CM11, I installed PA gapps nano and did not let Google restore my apps for me. After install, I rebooted, let the rom sit for about 10 minutes to settle in, and the went into settings to set the phone up. When I moved the clock to center, I got the fault and couldn't go any further.
Any ideas?

another slow device question

I have read pretty much forums and other websites to find a solution for my problem, but did not find any so far.
I am happy with my Galaxy S2 for more than three years now.
The last 1,5 or 2 years I have installed and tried a lot of custom roms, Ice Creams Sandwiches, KitKats and now also Lollipop (Omni and CM).
The last half year I have the next problem.
After installing a new rom and installing the apps I would like to use, the phone is nice smooth and fast, with a nice fluid UI.
But after some time ( after 1 or 2 weeks), the phone realy becomes suddenly very, very slow....opening apps takes a lot of time, often 5 seconds or even much more
Clearing cache, restart, clearing dalvik, nothing helps....the only thing that works is a complete fresh install.
There is enough diskspace and free space. I could even install quit some extra apps if I would like to.
This is the way I install a new rom:
- factory reset
- clear dalvik, system, data
- sometimes I reformat the internal storage (which is best: fat32, EXfat?)
- flash kernel wipe
- install rom, gapps and mostly superuser
- reboot the phone, do the settings
- install all wished apps
- sometimes I do a dalvik wipe and reboot again.
The phone is now nice smooth and fast.
The strange thing is, after these steps, I do not install anymore apps or widgets anymore. But still, after about a week, the smoothness is over and all that left is a lot of lag......
Does anybody know what causes this and how this can be solved?
Is it possible, that the flasdrive has become corrupted or bad, after this three years and if yes, can this be tested?
Any ideas would be great!
Best Regards,
Branko
