What's the best app/software for syncing your iTunes playlists and music. Also podcasts as well. I'll buy it if I have to.

Honestly I uploaded all my iTunes stuff to Google music, totally Free and will hold 20k songs. Just downloaded Google music for the pc and pointed it to my music folder containing all my iTunes stuff. Took forever but it's basically free iTunes match

I used to use isyncr on my s4,worked great.
On my M8 I tried the HTC sync software, and it worked. All 30gbs of my desired music playlists transferred onto mounted external SD card.
For podcasts I use beyondpod since coming to Android.
**Edit. I just realized HTC sync copied my desired music, but not the playlists themselves. Hmmmm

Upload all your music to google music. Thats the best way to go. For Podcasts, get Pocket Casts from the Play Store. Very good.

I'm a converted iPhone/iTunes user. This is my first android phone. What's the easiest way to get my music out of iTunes onto my Galaxy?
Thanks.

If you just use google music and download the music manager, from there choose the file folder for your iTunes library and google music will upload it all. You can just use google music to stream only, or you can make it available offline and download the music

Or you can just copy and paste your music folder onto the phone.
Then there are also other sync options like DoubleTwist which is very similar to iTunes (don't use it myself but it's known to be like an iTunes for Android if you're into that sorta thing)
search for iSyncr in the Market

I just transfered my library like this, but the tags are all messed up. The tags are fine on my iDevices, just the Galaxy. Specifically the Albums are split up. They show up as different albums even though they have the same name.
Mine show up fine. Although I am pretty meticulous on editing my tags in iTunes. Could be that there are different entries for the Artist and Album Artist.
I just copied and pasted. The only thing lost from iTunes to the phone was album artwork. Which is slightly annoying but, something I can live with. I tried using kies to do it that was a mistake though.

I just switched over to CM7, and the same music folder is showing up fine. Maybe it was just the stock rom.

Yeah. I'd rather just use Windows explorer.
Thanks for all the suggestions!

Yeah windows explorer is the best way to go. When I tired kies it was.to see if I would keep the artwork. None of the tags stayed at all. So I had to delete and use windows explorer again.

I made a playlist for my galaxy in iTunes then synced the playlist to Doubletwist. It copied the playlist over minus some artwork. I've got the artwork now. All is well.

I use iSyncr, the best app you can get to sync all of your iTunes playlist (every single one off them). I also came from an iPhone and at the beginning had difficulty finding an app that would provide all the functions itunes had from the music aspect.
Try it.

I see the downloaded playlist mp3's inter Android data folder, but they are all named in a numerical format? I can choose the HTC music player when I select one from the list, but it won't populate the HTC player with the info.
Any body have any ideas that would work?
Setting HTC music player as default will not work for me.

You would have to move the files to /sdcard/music or /sdcard2/music

Nope won't do it

I manually dumped a playlist on my computer just to test/play with Beats when I got the phone. It worked perfectly fine, but I did it on the PC side.

I created a music folder on the SD card then drag/dropped my music from the desktop to that folder. Works fine with no issues. I would think that playlists would be similar but I may be wrong. Where did your Google music come from, iTunes or stored?
Stored .
I just thought it would be an easy way to avoid having to store the music twice and still be able to get beats tuning.

Coming from the Iphone for many years, is there a way to use iTunes to sync music onto the Galaxy S3? I have all my music organized there so I hope I don't have to switch.
isyncr has been working well for me.

I used a program called Itunes agent...it should work as long as you can get the phone connected in USB hard drive mode. It creates a playlist in your itunes library with the device name and you drag the music you want into that playlist.

How does Isyncr work? The thing is that I don't want the complete itunes library on my phone, are you able to select?

you can sync playlists on the isyncr app if you do not want the whole itunes on your phone
Ok I am totally at a loss. How do I get my iTunes music down to my HTC One?
I tried:
1) HTC Sync Manager - it crashes, restarts, and repeats so I uninstalled it
2) I installed Google Music and uploaded some songs there - not showing on device
3) I connected USB and tried dragging from iTunes to drive representing device - no dice
Why is it this hard?

Get the HTC sync manager from the HTC website. It will import from iTunes and sync to your phone. No annoying middleware to install on the phone like isyncr or anything.

HTC Sync was too slow. Windows Media player was too slow. iTunes obviously won't work.
I just went to my music folder and dragged my music to my phone.
I did not find sync manager slow at all. Could be the storage drive it is writing data to is slower at writing than mine... Who knows. Ymmv on this stuff regardless.

North American Imaging, huh?
Regardless, OP asked about getting his iTunes music on his One, not how to pirate.

Convert your itunes songs to mp3s and drag them into a file, then put that file with your music onto your one.

Easy Phone Tunes. Been using it for 3 years now, easily syncs 1000+ songs neatly onto your phone.

I decided to just drag all my artist folders created by iTunes in to sdcard/music. Don't have to deal with large sync manager or any other software. So when u add music I just do the music in to automatically add to iTunes folder, then go to the media/music folder and drag the newly created artist folder on to my phone.

Ive heard doubletwist has a good app to transfer music. However I recommend ditching all that and just use Spotify and pay for premium. ^.^
go to my music folder , copy it to the phone:laugh:
Instead of having music saved on my lg g2, can I save all my music on gdrive and just play my music and playlist using gmusic just like as if its saved to my phone?
Cause I "think" it said store and play up to 20,000 songs in the cloud.
By saving it to the cloud, they mean add it to Google music servers, not gdrive. You have to do this via computer then you can listen to music that way.

The fee is if you want to do the radio etc etc. The streaming of music is free.
