i just bought a dell venue 7 and right after i bought it, i went to upgrade it from android 4.3jelly bean to android 4.4 kitkat, but when i was finishing the update, the tablet shut down and the whole operating system was down!
now every time i open my tablet i find it stuck @ the DELL shining screen, and i dont know how to install a new OS, its the first time im using a tablet, help please.
There are a tut on rooting the 2013 dell venue 7 3730 here which runs on 4.4.2 but i recently bought This new 2014 model 3740,
kindly suggest me how to root it?
open source files are here but dont know what to do with these!

I wand upgrade to android 4.4.2 but I can't do it with wifi(check updates but nothing)
Could anybody help me with link(step by step) or instruction to update Dell Venue 8 3g Android 4.2.2 to Android 4.4.2?

Hi, I tried rooting my dell venue 10 7040 using the same method as dell venue 7 7840 following this tutorial:

But no luck. Have anyone rooted dell 7040 on os 5.1 yet? Please give me some advice.
