I pressed the power button and Power off soft menu appear, when I select the Power off item, it does not response. Airplane mode and Take screenshot item work.
Anyone encounter this? Anyway to resolve this?
Its a touch screen device, so I doubt any on screen buttons can be faulty.
Restore it to factory.

did you set something in developer options?
in setting > developer options > Enable quickboot mode
if you ticked the "Enable Quickboot Mode" you wont able to press shutdown button on the screen
check to see if ticked or not

Thank Tonylcc,
you are right.
How to enable QuickBoot mode?
I was heard that in setting > developer options has a checkbox name "Enable QuickBoot mode"
but mine have not.
How can I enable it?

I installed WidgetLocker (which I used on my old hacked HTC HD2). I've found one issue that disturbs me. If I turn on the SII with the Home button and press the same button a second time, the phone unlocks. I don't want the phone to unlock without a very deliberate action on my part. Does anyone know how to disable the Home button unlock "feature"?
Thanks.

Widgetlocker settings > Buttons & inputs > Allow menu button. Untick that option and i think it should do what you want.
Yep
Settings>Buttons & Inputs>scroll down and uncheck 'allow home button'
That should do it

Go to setting --> Advanced --> HomeHelper
Use HomeHelper and set the HomeHelper launcher to whatever home launcher you prefer. Then check HomeHelper Block Home. This ensures that it won't unlock if you click the home button again. Remember to use WL HomeHelper as your default Home Launcher.
If you want to return to lockscreen after you're done with an app (that you launched from WL, then check "Block Home in other app" aswell.
Hello,
I’m a new G-Tab owner who just installed VEGAn-TAB 7.1.0 for bootloader 1.1.
Everything is perfect except for the extremely sad issue that whenever i press the powerkey to lock the tablet, my machine seems to go into a deep sleep…and then reboots with the lockscreen.
Cache clearing has not helped.
Please, how do i fix this?
Thank you

See if this helps:
Go into Settings > VEGAn-TAB settings > Input and, at the bottom, check (enable) "Volume rocker wake".
Then run the Spare Parts app and set the "End button behaviour" to "Go to sleep".
Also, don't overclock the tablet.
After this, put the gTab to sleep using the power button, but wake it up using the volume keys.

This worked awesome...thank you very very much!
Instead of doing the volume rokr wake setting, this is simply fixed by running the Spare Parts app and set the "End button behaviour" to "Home, then Sleep" option.
hi,
few days back i rooted my razr xt910 australia optus version.,
now i've noticed that when phone goes to sleep mode the wifi connection drops out and the moment when i press power button and unlock then it will get wifi signal again.. this is so frustrating and annoying can any one have any idea what could be the problem?
i have rooted the fone and i have rom, titaninum backup and root manaager on phone
any help would be appreciated.
When you refer to the phone sleeping, are you referring just hitting the lock/power button, or long pressing and selecting sleep mode? If it's the latter, then it's doing exactly what it's supposed to do.

Sent from my XT910 using XDA
The title says all, fact is that I find pretty irritating that the power button doesn't do the only thing it should do, any way to fix it? Maybe I'm missing something in the settings?
I use it for "ok google".
To turning off the phone instead, I resolved using Macrodroid app ((( https://play .google. com/store/apps/details?id=com.arlosoft.macrodroid&hl=en_GB ))) and set a button widjet on screen (or on the collapse title o wherever you want) with when I trigger it star action "power options". Working without root certified.
Done
Settings > Additional Settings > Power Button > Press and hold power button > Power Menu
So if the phone is locked, anyone without the password or proper authentication can turn on the phone then hold the power button and shut it down.
Other phones ask you to unlock the phone in order to do that so that unauthorized people can't mess with your phone.
Any help on how I can secure my device?
Thanks
It's very standard behaviour in Android phones, long press of the power button shows up the power menu with the usual "Power off" , "Reboot" and "Emergency" even if the phone is locked.
Double press the power button also usually open the default cam app (and anyone can take pics without even unlocking the phone)
If you want to disable this you can go to the settings and disable the long press power off option and the double press option
: Settings -> Advanced -> Smart Key : Disable double press and Disable press&hold
But be aware if you disable the press&hold option the only way to reboot the Zenfone 9 will be from Power icon located in the bottom right of the completely expanded notifications panel
Also if you hold power + vol down for 12s (short is screenshot) it will do a force reboot. There is a combination for almost all android phones to do this
