Note 3 for Sprint dual band - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Hi,
I went to sprint store and checked the note 3 by dialing ##3282# and under LTE it showed me Band26 Enabled and Band41 Enabled, which are 850Mhz and 2500Mhz respectively My understanding from online reading was Note is single band LTE at 1900 Mhz (Band 26). I know that FCC filing says 1900Mhz.
I do not understand what is going on, can anyone shed a light on it?
I am not an expert, but can the newer Note 3 owners verify what LTE bands are ON ?
I have waited since the launch of Note 3 to be a triband but now if it is dual band with lower 850MHz then it should do better inside the building.
Thanks...

All I see under LTE is "LTE Enabled". How are you seeing the enabled bands?

Can u click on it?
All I did was clicked LTE and inside was LTE Enabled then Band26 Enabled and Band41 Enabled..
It was the phone on the display.
I am verifying it with the sprint store to get one if it is dual band.

That was on mj4 rom and it is still only a single band phone ....now on all kitkat roms it just shows lte enabled and no bands ...it was left from earlier them probably trying to make this a triband phone but ran out of time working on it

Differentiating US VS. International

Trying to decide whether to get it from T-Mobile with a dual core processor, or an International model with a quad core.
Does the international model work on either 3G, HSPA+,or HSDPA on T-Mobile? What other differentiation are there?

No, the international wont work on TMO. Well it will but you will only get 2G speeds. When TMO switches over to the 1900mhz band it will work(HSPA+) and I think they already switched in a couple of locations but it will take a while before it's fully switched over.

Possible to get AT&T LTE on Verizon note 2?

I'm using an at&t sim in this phone but it won't use their lte. Is it possible to enable their band on the Verizon chipset? Is the chipset simply software limited or is it a completely different chip?
I'm wondering if flashing the AT&T modem is an option.
It depends upon what your phone is capable of and what services are in place where you live if you have a 4G phone and still no lte try a signal booster it will refresh your connections and refresh your network

Never flash another modem from another carrier. By searching this very topic you will see that you may not get a signal again after trying, or a brick.
Also no. Radios on hardware level don't support the att frequencies and bands for their lte. Att lte uses 700 and 1700 for the freqs with bands 17 and 4 respectively. The schi605 only has lte for 700 mhz on band 13.

Using Verizon V10 (model VS990) on T-Mobile ?

Hi forum. I currently have Verizon service and am considering this phone. I asked a Verizon employee about using it on T-Mobile and she said it wouldn't work. Looking at frequencycheck.com I see the following supported bands:
Band LG V10 - VS990 LG V10 - H901
Band 8 - GSM 850 Yes Yes
Band 10 - E-GSM 900 Yes Yes
Band 13 - DCS 1800 Yes Yes
Band 14 - PCS 1900 Yes Yes
Band 1 - 2100 Yes Yes
Band 2 - 1900 PCS Yes Yes
Band 4 - AWS 1 Yes Yes
Band 5 - 850 Yes Yes
LTE Band 2 - 1900 PCS Yes Yes
LTE Band 3 - 1800 + Yes Yes
LTE Band 4 - AWS 1 Yes Yes
LTE Band 5 - 850 Yes Yes
LTE Band 7 - 2600 Yes Yes
LTE Band 12 - 700 ac Yes Yes
LTE Band 13 - 700 c Yes
LTE Band 20 - 800 DD Yes
I see that it supports the same bands as T-Mobile version ( model H901 ) and I understand that it is carrier unlocked so why wouldn't it work if I used a T-Mobile SIM ?
slomo
She lied.
It will work fine out of the box since VZW phones come factory unlocked. Just no VoLTE/Wifi calling obviously. Band 2/4/12 is what T-mobile uses for LTE so if you have those then you are set.

No offense to them, but I doubt the majority of in-store sales associates have knowledge of frequency bands between carriers. They are likely told to tell customers that the phones won't work if they just intend to take it to another carrier (but there is some truth to that, my old Verizon Galaxy S4 didn't get 4G or MMS on AT&T, but recent phones appear to be more uniform). But anyway, like you said, the frequencycheck list checks out. If it is indeed unlocked as you say, you should be good. Do be careful though. You're missing LTE Band 20, and I don't think it's for anything important (normal LTE operates on 2, 4 and 12), but I can't find any information on this band. And, of course, these lists are not always perfect.
Do you think the info from frequencycheck.com is not correct? Accounting the official specs for V10 from Verizon.com, it is only supports LTE Band 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 which is missing the most important Tmo's Band 12.
Of course Verizon is going to tell you that. It should work.
My verizon note 3 works on Tmobile. The v10 from VZW should work with Tmobile too.
T-Mobile V10 on Verizon?
Would then the T-Mobile V10 work on Verizon?

The vzw v10 works on att and tmo. It does use up slightly more battery than normal, because it will always search for cdma first.

Good to know. Got mine and I'm debating on switching carriers and today's announcement pushes me a little more to do so. Just wanted to make sure it was possible before my return period was over. So far I love the phone. Just need to get used to carrying the beast.

Yes
It should work. I had a good 1/2 hour conversation with the local sales rep, in Fort Lauderdale. He said all the new Android phones are unlocked. We also discussed rooting. His phones are rooted. He said not to root until the Knox counter is not tripped.

Here is my story.
I am using Cricket wireless and bought a Verizon version LG 10 from Best Buy. It's a unlocked phone by default. This phone dose support LTE band 2, 4, 12 (Not sure 17) that compatible with ATT. But there is an issue when you use it in GSM/LTE mobile carrier.
By default the network type is set to "Global". This allows you to talk, text under GSM network (HSPA+, 3G), not in LTE network. If you switch the network type to "LTE/CDMA", you are able to connect to 4G LTE network, but you cannot talk or send text message.
Is there anyone who knows how to have voice, text with LTE network at the same time? Thanks

Its because i belive tmo uses a band that verizon doesnt to run its lte service I'm trying to trade. If root comes maybe someone will be able to assit damn verizon
yes it works with t-mobile, i am using verizon v10 on t-mobile right now, i disable most of verizon apps on the phone. also set up the apn for t-mobile in order to get data. the only annoying part left is that the phone tell you the sim is not from verizon everytime you restart, but that can easily swipe away just like any other notification.

HELP! How to add LTE FDD bands

Does anyone know how to add or enable FDD-LTE band 4 (1700MHz). I already tried with MTK Engineer app but this and other bands are disabled and cannot be activated.

I second your motion, but AWS will be hard to unlock, as the US version of the phone supporting AWS is not shipping yet. Maybe when is out you could crossflash the phone to get support, or mod the modem ROM/baseband or something, but before that I don't think is possible.
Yes. I guess so. When is the shipment of the US version expected to start?

It's impossible to flash new frequency ranges on any modem. Frequencies are purely Hardware based. The p9000 does not support USA LTE frequencies. (1700/2100 band 4). Although the website says the B version (US version) has been "coming soon" for months now.

Are you a new or existing virgin mobile user. If existing did you get a new SIM from Virgin? As they need to issue a new one to you if you want to go 4G.

There was also something else I read (virgin user here to - currently non 4G) about having to wait until your next billing cycle until you can begin using 4G services. Annoying and I've seen lots of people complaining as they have to wait to their refresh date which could be anywhere up to a few weeks.
Probably stating the obvious but have you selected the LTE option under (preferred network type) mobile network settings?
Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using Tapatalk
Yep LTE set as preferred
Also I ordered the sim before my last billing date. The sim turned up about a week after the billing date.
Maybe the next billing date?

Possibly yeah, that's the only thing I can think off. Worth it to keep trying the odd reboot or switching in and out of aeroplane mode in case that helps it kick in.

Check what LTE bands Virgin uses and see if the Redmi Note 4 is compatible with said bands. I'm on T-Mobile and the Note 4 does not support it's LTE.

Have u checked to use another provider?
i have a similar issue, not all providers that have these bands listed use them in all locations, i am with Rogers in canada who does have band 7, which this phone has, but they only have it in certain areas, not the full coverage, so i sit on 3g a lot.
Check this site, i shows that your provider also has limited coverage on the available bands. willmyphonework.net
I have the same issue. I'm with Three and it keeps dropping to H+ far too regularly.
Had this sim for a while and worked perfectly well on my Jiayu S3.

Still looking for a way to open those bands.

Band 7 should be supported and usable but I doubt the hardware supports band 4.
You should have gotten the Redmi Note 3 instead, the Chinese version supports band 4, 7 and 40 out of the bands used in Canada, and the Special Edition ("international version") supports bands 2, 4, 7 and 40. The Chinese model also supports 3G on band 4 (1700/AWS).

FIDO does not support band 7 too, (even though some sites said Fido supports band 7)
My friend is using Bell, his phone shows 4G instead of 3G.
