Here you've got some info. Unfortunately you will have to wait for a root solution.
yes I tried some posts but nothing else
Yes we are waiting developers friends
Tried it using an aircard but android only picks up the usb stick.
I dont know if it actually help but I saw this on tech republic when they open the tablet.
3G-ready motherboard and case: Sony left an open spot on the motherboard and inside the case for a 3G or 4G card. The internal mounting bracket even has screw holes for it.
Dont know if it is possible to add an internal modem or install driver for that.

Maybe this will help you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25615728#post25615728
At least worked for me. It disables other functions of USB 3G sticks and leave them to be acting only as 3G modem, which then tablet recognizes.
Is there anything new? I have got rooted ICS on my tablet. Is it possible to use 3G USB Modem on my tablet? I have got 2 USB-Modems. The first is ZTE K3565-Z and the second is Option 4G Systems XS Stick P14. Is there a solution?

If darkjesus's method didn't work, then I'm not sure anything will. These modems are not easy to work on a lighter system like Android.
I'm happy to be proven wrong, of course.
In a german forum, i found an app called "UMTS Manager". With this app you can connect with 3G Networks with some Huawei-Sticks and maybe some other devices, too. They use mode-switch to switch device mode to modem only and then it works for them. Here's the link:

Of course, a lot of pages But some of them got ZTE K3565-Z working. For me it doensn't. Maybe we can find a solution
I found the reason, why it does not work on Tablet S. Our Tablet does not create ttyUSB*-devices when attaching 3G Modem to the Tablet. Normally it creates ttyUSB*-devices, attaches the Modem there and you are able to connect. I think it's a kernel issue or Sony modified the kernel. But with Custom Rom and Kernel which has got this "feature" it is possible to connect via 3G Modem. Maybe one of us could create this custom Rom..
So how?

You will have better success looking for a portable 3G-to-WiFi hotspot device. Not only will you not have to worry about installing USB modem drivers, the device will work with a non-rooted tablet. Also, if you have a 3G smart phone, look into WiFi tethering.

Yup, finally I bought portable 3g/4g wireless n router. Easy to use. Thanks by the way.
Sorry in advance if this is not the right place to ask for help. Literally going cross-eyed in the forum trying to find the answer.
I bought what was suppose to be a Malata T9 tablet from,... you guess, China, in hopes of selling them online. They are close to the specs on the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
It is a knock off, not a Malata.
It is a rk29sdk model
Android version 3.01
Kernel version 2.6.32.27 [email protected]_linux #193
Build number rk29_gingerbread_v2.10.00_20111204
I also have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 which I successfully rooted, installed the Hulu fix and adhoc wifi fix. Works great! Why the tablet manufacturers don't put these on the stock tablets boggles my mind.
So I tried the adhoc wifi fix on the Malata knock off and pretty much bricked it.
Lost the wifi files and it won't shut down without using the reset.
Trying to find a comparable or better rom to flash it. Manufacturer is not helping.
Any suggestions much appreciated except tossing it. It was pretty nice before I *f ed* it up.
Thanks

guys hey
I just bought a tablet S, model number sgpt112au/s, which is an Australian 32gb version. I'm going to be using it in my truck for music and GPS.
having read that the power connection is a 2 wire 10.5 volt affair, ill be looking at buying a voltage regulator off ebay.
I started reading threads on here, but, theres a lot of them.
I was wondering if one of you might be so kind as to list easy mods that i should do to it, and then i can go and hunt down the threads of those mods, please?
lol, admittedly, im lazy, its true, but there is a lot of reading.
I know that it'll take a 128gb sd card if its formatted to fat32, so ill be buying one of those. ill be using music folder player to play tunes with, i actually live in the same town in Ireland as the guy who created it, funnily enough.
anything else...
I know jack about android to be honest... should i try install the latest version, will it run and will performance suffer?
cheers for reading
regards,
redd .
Hey man
Good to see fellow Irish here
Are you trying install the tab semi permanent in the cab your best bet is a cig lighter adapter just check the voltage output On the adapter you should have no issuses
This tab is only On ice cream sandwich
Don't try to flash jelly bean On it as it will brick your device with no way of recovery
I would recommend rooting with the A.I.O Condi's then the rescue back door option it tricks the device into thinking it needs an update so you can recover from a error other than that it's a good tab

Hello there,
My brother bought a few Android boxes similar in spec to these models.......here
He bought quite a few of them rooted with his own branding on them and had his own firmware sent to him.
I was wanting to use one for XBMC which works great and for a retro games machine and this is where i am having a problem, i bought a g910 gamepad to use on this android box and switched on blue tooth but the switch immediately switches back to off.
I remember having this problem a couple of times with custom roms on the phones i had and it was usually sorted out with a fix from a developer.
I am hoping the Chinese suppliers that made these machine will send him my brother a fix or an updated firmware but there has been no reply back yet.
I would like to ask you gurus here if it is possible to fix this problem myself?
Could i use root explorer or something to repair the blue tooth problem?.......the firmware is currently on 4.4.2
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks:good:
