Battery was low this morning so plugged it in a few hours ago left it plugged in for a while didnt look at it once took it off charger went to power it on and the screen just flashes nothing is on it just flashes as if its going on but it doesnt, tried holding the power and home button and it says to press power for recovery or home for factory mode, tried both and nothing happends. Tried holding down the power button for over a minute and screen just kept flashing on and off every 2 seconds. Don't have my lil screw driver with me again i should just keep it in my pocket for battery pulls with the issues ive had lately.
Running a Callisto 100 with loki's most recent firmware release. any thoughts? other than battery pull when i get home?
edit: got home did battery pull tried again still didnt work noticed charger at work wasnt charging the watch when i had plugged it in i guess it was unplugged from under my desk. tried charging at home now alls good again

I was watching a YouTube video, and my Tab just shut down. It did feel really hot on the back, now that I think about it.
But I've tried everything! Keeping it plugged into the wall, hold power for 30 seconds while touching screen, holding for 15 then for 7, Volume Up + Power, Volume Down + Power, and plugging it into the wall. Nothing's working.
I have a Metallic Grey 32GB with the latest TouchWiz Rom.
Please help.
i had the same - it seem to have restarted by having it plugged in the PC and then pressing Power + Volume up and volume down all at the same time ... strange though
I've had it for about 9 days and have used it every single day. Last night I downloaded 2 movies onto it and everything was fine. Today it would not power on one bit! I charged it over night so the battery shouldn't have drained. I ended up fixing my problem by doing the following:
Held the power button.
At the same time, placed a finger on the screen.
Held it down for 15 seconds or more and it booted up!
Not sure why it only worked when I put my finger on the screen.
I ended up exchanging it either way just in case.
i had a similar experience when it looked like the images on my screen was tarring and making really odd graphical errors, and then shut off... but i could see that the backlight was still on.. So i help power button untill backlight turned off.. and then plugged it into the charger and turned it on holding the power down button, which luckly got me into recovery.. i then reflashed the kernel, seems to have been a dodgy flash, but its working now..
Its been day 3 of having a phone that refuses to power on..
I went camping over the weekend and had it plugged into (and charging) my travel charger via cigarette lighter and it was working fine. At one point I went to use it and turned on the screen but it glitched out by the screen turning on then off a few times until i left the screen off, gave it a few seconds, and turned it on again and was able to put in my security lock etc. It does that once in awhile and I chalk it up to a computer booting up and my impatience
Well the screen powered off while reading on my phone, and I went to power on but it wouldnt stay on this time. I got a glimpse of the battery and its probably 85% charged, but upon coming home and leaving it on the charger all night I am still with a dead phone.
There is no flashing white/green/red led light a the front, even when plugged in.
Ive tried all the solutions on these forums (camera + power button, camera + power + volume buttons, removed battery, cleaned with eraser, tried different chargers via wall outlets & laptop, and even the cmd & "bootloader" stuff but the request is never recognized..) I really need some help with this, PLEAAAASSSEE!
Ive never rooted (?) or flashed or did anything of the sort with this phone, its pretty much stock.
**I just tried putting the battery in after a few min, and as soon as the pins touched and the battery was in, the back lower camera light flashed on for a few seconds and then shut off. Still no power to the phone though
I cant find anything close to my problem so I hope someone out there has a new & successful suggestion!!
Thanks all!
Have you tried a new battery? It truly sounds like your battery is gone and doesn't hold (much) of a charge.
Hello All,
Been reading threads regarding similar issues since my issue occurred last night, but none of the fixes seem to do the trick for me. I am on AOCP CP2 basically since the time I got my Note, and haven't had any issues with battery, charging, or anything else for that matter. Last night my phone gave me a 15% battery warning, and by the time I checked it 5 minutes later, it was down to 1%. I went and plugged it in, and it had died by the time I got to the charger. Plugged it in and an empty battery symbol with the 'refresh' icon in the center appeared. Let it sit for about an hour then came back to power it up.
- A normal length press of the power button did nothing
- Holding the power button for about 10 seconds yielded three vibrations, then the display of the empty battery with refresh icon, which promptly disappeared
- Holding power + vol. up, power + vol down, all three, power + home + vol, all result in the same as above
-Computer does not recognize the phone via usb
-Removing the battery and connecting to computer via usb makes the phone vibrate repeatedly. Adding the battery while this is happening gives 3 vibrations and the dead battery with refresh icon on the screen
Tried:
-Leaving it plugged into charger overnight
-Removing battery/sim/sd card for various lengths of time
-Holding power button down with battery removed
-cleaned usb port with toothbrush (wasn't that dirty to begin with and hasn't seen water)
I don't have an extra battery or charger to test things out with at the moment, but if anyone has any insight beyond the things I've already tried and read, it would be greatly appreciated! Happy Thanksgiving!

try to charge ur battery on another phone or replace it with a frined's one... and then power on ur phone
This happened to me few times.
After charging it for a bit, I removed battery and put it back. Long hold power.
I just repeat this and eventually it will turn on.

Hello everyone,
I got a question. Yesterday, my phone shutdown do to no more battery. Once I got home (about 1h30 after), I plug-it into my computer for a good slow charge. I noticed the led was blinking red instead of staying on, but I though it was due to critical low battery. After 3 hours, still the same. I try to open it but nothing happened. Then, I noticed that when I touch the screen or button, the phone vibrate.
I then unplug and try again, same thing. I try plug into the wall charger, samething.
Then I proceed to hold the power button for 5 seconds. All three touch button start flashing and stayed on, but no joy, still vibrate when touching anything with screen turn off (not just no backlight, no image at all).
I manage to found out that holding the button nearly 10 seconds, it force a reboot and then was OK and charged at 70%.
I'm wondering what's the deal here. Is it a problem with the stock rooted rom?
Thanks

it's because of TWRP

Hi,
I got hold of one of these tablets that appeared dead, left it charging overnight and it started without issue, the battery was at 67% at this point.
I then shut it down and held the Home + VolUp + Power to enter download mode as I wanted to install TWRP.
Nothing happened, but not only that, the tablet failed to boot again whatsoever. I took the back off and unplugged the battery, held the power button down for 30-40 seconds, reattached battery, still nothing, so I decided to leave it on charge for a bit more and try to figure it out later.
Later came along, and I picked up the tablet and for some reason pushed the home button 3 times and it displayed the battery icon, showing 100%, great!
It still won't boot though and I haven;t been able to reproduce whatever I did to get it to show the battery icon again.
I've tried every combination of holding down Home/VolUp/VolDown and Power that I can think of for different amounts of time and still nothing.
Had it plugged into the computer too and monitored dmesg for any signs of life and still nothing.
I'm thinking (but hoping not) that it might be a physical problem with the power button, but it feels fine when pressed.
Is there some magic trick that I don't know about that could help here?
Many thanks.,
g
EDIT: I have left it plugged in for a few hours and periodically the battery icon appears for a while (now at 99%), then disappears. Tried to switch it on with the power button while the icon is on the screen but no go, same with different button combos.
