I learned yesterday that buyers of the Note Pro 12 in Singapore are getting free with their purchase the NEW Samsung BT s mouse, BT keyboard and samsung case. For me here in the US those accesories will cost at leastv $160 above and beyond theb $700 plus tax I paid at BESTBUy. Of the perks I did get, the only worthwhile one was the $25 playstore certificate and I guess the $25 hub, which I could care less about. Since samsung is marketing this tab as a business and laptop replacement tab, a keyboard, mouse and cover SHOULD be included. We should all complain to Samsung. This is class actionable. Agreed?

lol just what we need.
What's that supposed to mean--"just what we need?" Don't you think it's unfair that US customers are being screwed out of such perks. btw, I didn't mean an ACTUAL lawsuit. I meant everyone should complain to Samsung who think it's unfair. Apparently you dont.

Interesting perspective that we're somehow being screwed because Samsung has come to the conclusion that they have to provide that deep of a local incentive package to help drive sales. There is an inherent flaw in thinking that pricing and promotional offers are somehow globally equitable. I would have been happy if they would have at least had the book cover available here at the time and location of purchase, let alone actually providing it.
Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
Well they probably didn't have the cover when you wanted it because dude they are giving them all away in singapore. Just like there are no s mice or new keyboards here.
Let's not forget the Note costs considerably more in other countries. Higher incentives have to be given to justify a cost of 1,000.

Just an FYI,
What makes you think that it's "Samsung" that is the donator / sole contributor of those mice and keyboards etc.?
Developers don't need no stinkin' signature!
If I've been able to help you, please hit the "Thanks" button.
Who else would it be? Samsung authorized is doing it. Why so defensive. Everyone here who shelled out BIG bucks for this tab shud be pissed they are not getting a free mouse, keyboard and cover. I know I am.

not sure if i understand. Isnt the price alot more for the tablet there. So pay more and get the accessary bundle or pay what i did here without it. Easy decision for me. I actually like picking my own accessories rather than them picking them for me. but this is JMO.

Sure, you go find the lawyer and get back to us when your case is ready for participants. Who says the American courts are full of frivolous cases!
I didn't actually mean a LEGAL action, mr. Rolls-HIS-EYES, I just meant by action that people should call 800-samsung and say "where's my $160 worth of free hardware that's being given free in singapore?' Because now I gotta go buy IN ADDITION to the $700 plus it cost me to get into this game a keyboard mouse and cover (if I choose samsung) to use it as a business tablet as samsung is promoting it. So do you have a problem with that? No court action.

I think I read about this before I got the 12.2 but I looked around for it and could not find it (I got the playstore credit, was able to instal hancon, got the evernote and dropbox promos, but I can't find any $25 credit on samsung). Thank you very much for your help.

Ebay.
Of course if the device is defective.. then it'll be different, but maybe its not exactly what you want (locked BL)
If you're looking to make 150-300$ profit, yet that much. Sell it. I've been paying attention to the ebay market and median price the prime is selling for is 680 in auction.

There have been some very real quality issues with this device. Particularly with the GPS (which MAY have turned out just to be a software issue, but may not be).
For you to write those issues off by saying that people were trolling is extremely irresponsible.
There has been some direct trolling, but the volume of the negative reviews have been from honest owners.
I appreciate the honest opinions here - it can be tough to fish out the trolls from the honest folk though.
Ah there are simply too many people that are looking for an ipad but buying the Prime, imho... And then there are many people that only look at the small things that arent perfect yet and not at the big picture.
I still have not found a big enough reason to cancel my preorder (ships mid january here) and there are so many people here trying really hard to ***** about this Tablet
On the other hand, if I was getting the TP mainly for GPS navigation in my car i wouldnt do it. But for the things i intend to do with it (surfing&youtube, watching movies, gaming _with a gamepad_ +emulators and text input), there's still nothing better and wont be anytime soon.

Well said. As for the people trying to make a quick buck by selling it on ebay good on you but if its defective that's just mean and PayPal could refund the item. Amazon is still the 12th and Ebuyer is 17 to 25 days..Ahhhhh
I opt'd to cancel my prime order...no gps and poor wifi performance... not for $600 so I canceled the dock and tablet order *sigh* am very disappointed...
I have one that I'm selling for $650 here locally on Craigslist in Eugene OR. I think I'm the only one in Eugene that has it. If I sell it I can buy a dock for my second Prime.

eBay has 9% final price fee on top of listing fee and then 3% from PayPal. sell it for $650 on eBay and then that leaves you at $572 and if you paid tax or shipping.. all your going to do is make eBay more money

Good thing I'm selling it on Craigslist. Its funny how some people are oblivious to the Prime. One guy laughed at me and sent me a link to what he thought was the same tablet. It was the tf101 lol. Asking me why he should buy mine and not the one he found for $400. So I of course educated him a bit and told him off.

I found a source for Flyer batteries. They emailed me today to tell me they are now ready to ship.
Depending on the numbers of interested parties and cost of shipping from the supplier to myself in the UK and then from me to you will denote the final price of the battery. The cost will be different for everyone depending on where you live.
If anyone is interested let me know so i have an idea of numbers. I'm bringing in 10 minimum anyway but if i need more there's no problem to get some more.

I'm talking about the internal battery for the HTC Flyer. If you don;t know what i'm talking about you probably don't need one.
10 Batteries Ordered )
Hi all,
I've just ordered 10 batteries (4000mAh @ 3.7v) and have a pigtail with connector on the end identical to the original battery), and they should be here in a couple of weeks. I'm keeping 2 for myself and letting the other 8 go. If you're interested please let me know otherwise they will be going on eBay in due course at full price.
I'm selling these at the discounted price of £25 per battery + postage to wherever you are in the world. Payment in GBP (Sterling) and you pay the transaction fee.
They'll be going on eBay if there are no takers here and they will be selling at £34.99 with a set of tools to crack open your Flyer.
As soon as they are here i'll post.
In the meantime if anyone wants one please let me know as it's first come first serve.
The reason i've bought them is because i refused to pay HTC UK £60 just to open my Flyer and look at it, and another £60 to replace the battery. That's a rip off if ever there was one. Doing it myself it cost me just the price i've paid for the battery. Job done!!
Cheers,
Francis

It's very easy to do. Just a little bit fiddly but very easy to do. I opened mine the other day with a cheap pack of tools i got off eBay and i was surprised at just how straightforward it was. There's a couple of screws and some very gentle prising of the case and it comes away no problem.
There are 2 or 3 ribbon cables to undo and that's about it.

Have a look for yourself, lots of close up pictures.
Do you still have the batteries?
I'm still waiting for them to be delivered, nothing has arrived yet. As soon as they arrive i'll post and let everyone know.

Speaking of batteries.....They arrived just now. Didn't take long but then they were DHL'd.
I only ordered 10 just to get a little bit of discount off them and even at that they are still much cheaper than getting them from HTC who won't sell you one anyway. And bar that rednck link i've never seen any for sale anywhere and i looked for a long time.
If i'd ordered 50 they might be a heck of a lot cheaper but £25 is cost and as cheap as i could sell them on here without losing out.
If you want one from me though it will be via eBay now.
Cheers
R they original HTC ones or copies?
The only place you're ever going to get an original (OEM) factory HTC battery is from HTC themselves and they don't sell them without HTC fitting them. At £120 for the pleasure....no thanks!!
Every other battery on the market regardless of what logo they they have printed on them or where they were manufactured will be generic. My batteries don't even say HTC on them so they can't be called copies or fakes unlike the one on your link that says HTC.
My batteries are manufactured by a well known LiPo battery manufacturer in China and they are extremely good quality. I fitted one the following day after they arrived, took less than 15 mins.
Currently my Flyer has been on since 7am and it's now nearly 6pm, I have made several calls today, used wifi and mobile network both on youtube and internet for about 20mins, made some notes, and been on standby the rest of the time.....currently telling me 91%.
It should improve a little bit more with a couple more battery calibrations over the next week or so. It will last all day long and then some now and is working as well as my original HTC battery ever did when that was new.
I don't need an original HTC battery...thanks

If you were selling a car, or some bits you had at home, or whatever you were selling, and somebody comes along and posts links to stuff being advertised elsewhere you wouldn't be too pleased would you?
This is your sale, not someone else's!! They have no business whatsoever screwing up your sale with their unhelpful link posting. They should be posting their own helpful stuff on their own thread if that's what they want to do.
That's just plain out of order and shows either mal intent on their part or, if they genuinely believed they were doing nothing wrong they are clearly to stupid to realise what they've done which is just as bad!!
It doesn't even matter if the stuff was the same price as yours, your sale/s is/are lost or will be passed by!!
Final chance to buy a battery!!
I've got 3 batteries left (with no tools) which i will offer on here for £25 + postage and you pay the PayPal transaction fee. I cannot sell them any cheaper than that otherwise they will be costing me to sell to you.
When they are gone they are gone, and unless there is more demand than i have batteries for i won't be buying any more after this.
Final chance to get one of these and you don't have long. PM me if you're interested and we'll take it from there!!

Ok since u moan so much - lets see...

Hi, as you have maybe seen in the team supersonva thread, we have managed (mostly tdmcode, oisis and fromnowon for the way to get it boot) to port ICS over for 4.0 . For helping oisis to develop for our devices, he needs to have a device (pretty obvious no? :silly so I tought to donate money and buy a device to him.
Current donators with value:
Zaclimon: $35
Obsuresword: $25
Oisis: $13
Daniel644:$5
Ijimaniac: $30
GoldFlame09: $25
Also I need some suggestions like
Which device to buy (Intl or US)
Where to buy it (very cheap, maybe ebay)
If you have more ideas please post them below.
Current money we have/need: $108/$105
Here's the donation link in case you want to make a donation:
Finished!!
And Thanks to the people who donated . It's very appreciated.
Amazin.co,
I think it would be great to get a international device (I have a US) because noisyfox has a patch, right? You could get a lightly used or refurb from Amazon ($120-$150). Even thought I'm a 5.0 user, it's cool reading how you guys managed to get CM9 and hopefully the kernel on the 4.0. The 5.0 forum is probably already dead, and gmillz has probably already abandoned his work.
The cheapest player 4.0 I could find is on eBay for $134.99 http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=261048525557&index=0&nav=SEARCH&nid=60611713735

the noisyfox's patch is for 5.0 only. Also the 4.0 has a kind of system that detect the type of the device. Also be sure that the device can be sent in europe because that's where he lives.

NVM what I said earlier. It seems that I will use an agent who will buy the thing for me and they do accept paypal.
EDIT: it seems that we would need at least $120-130 to buy the device (all included)
I know I said I would, but can you make the account (brand new one) for the fundraiser. I didn't know how much info it wanted, and the last thing I need right now is my parents ticked off at me for making a paypal account .
I guess if you wanted I could talk to them about it (especially since they want me to create my own so that I can "make money" off of what I am doing ), but that would be a LOT more work convincing them (possibly).

I can make another one but there's already mine (see at first post) running and we already have $25 (now $23 because of commission from paypal). So do I make another one or we keep mine?

Hmm, I suppose that we can use yours, if it will make it easier. I will link to your account in the ICS thread if you put a donation link up. Also, I suggest we donate an INTL device (as they are easier to dev on because of the home button issue). Perhaps someone looking to get rid of their SGP would be willing to donate their device for maybe 80-90 dollars, making it a lot easier for both parties.

The donation link is already here :silly:
EDIT: We found finally the device . If we include hanthesolo's donation, we need $50-55 more (approx)
Ok so this may be a little bump I know but I add the money we have and the total we need. This don't include the internationnal shipping because my donation will be the EMS express shipping to poland. It's basically for the value of the device.
A device was purchased and sent to show_p1984. it didn't arrive yet, because of usps. show_p1984 has shared with me the link to the shipment.
we covered the device, a pen and most of the taxes that the shipping will cost.
you can stop donating now.
from now on, any donation should be to the developers themselves, as they get along with their work.

Go ahead and add $20 from me, so new total is now $100.
Sent from my HTC EVO 4G LTE
Add me 50$ now150$
Add 50$ now 200$
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Count me in for $50 as well.
That's progressing nicely. but we need to find a way to contact a developer..
we can offer the money as it is, or we could purchase a device for a developer willing to put an effort..
We only need to find one..
I agree with Guru..
But it must be someone who has a know-how of roms AND kernels..
And preferably someone with experience in:
Holiday / Pyramid
and Flyer
Anyone knows who this might be?
I shall contribute too but amount right now flexible-so won't commit right now. Busy till December 6th as of now.
And I suggest chaos-x or dexter. They both have managed to get aokp and jb respectively for the flyer. Dexter has gotten a working scribe pen for the flyer jb. Both seem really good developers. Would be good to approach them for help. So also would be the developers of villain and el Diablo roms for the Jetstream.
Sent from my HTC PG09410 using xda app-developers app

$30 from me, with thanks.
What's the bounty up to now?

well, we've got a serious dilema on our hands.
yncconsulting is willing to try and develop jb for us, but he needs a device. we can put up our money and buy one for him,
and here lays a dilema:
on the one hand, we'll have a developer on the forum, which is awesome. and it could mean jb for the device.
on the other hand, there's always a chance he won't succeed, leaving us without the money or the proper version.
the price for an unused device is about 350$ and that is what yncconsulting wants.
personally, i think we should go for it. probably our last chance..
if we will all be in agreement, we'll work the details of how to put the money together.

hum.. though one guru, but what the heck. But I know there are used devices in good conditions for less than 350.
"the price for an unused device is about 350$ and that is what yncconsulting wants. "
i tried the used angle. the developer said that if all he's getting out of this is a device, he want it to be new. i can understand that.

dang it. the poll is useless..i can't say which of voted yes, so i can't tell how much money we gathered..
please add a message with your opinion.
thanks.
also,
not to disrespect the developer that contacted us, but maybe we should be the choosers here...i think we should try and suggest this device for a developer from one of the big crews (cm, aokp)...
thoughts?

Will this work with cases that we have already? For example, it just replaces the existed door, right? Doesn't add any more thickness so we can't use the existing cases we have? Thanks in advance. I'm asking because I read the reviews on the BestBuy site and two of them say that it does add bulk slightly. Just don't want to buy this thing and then find out it's a matter of using this and not being able to use my existing case with it.

Not 100% as I don't have one yet, but I think it might add some additional thickness. So my guess is you will need new case. Maybe someone who purchased already can answer this better than me.

There's one listed on 23rd street and 6th ave here in the City. I was going to go and buy it in person and try it with the tough case I bought a week or so ago already on the phone. Figure I can always return it if they don't have a restocking fee.
Will post more information tomorrow once I check it out.
Thanks for the information, regardless. Much appreciated.

It does add some thickness. Not so much that you will notice it in your hand, but enough that most fitted hard cases will not fit properly. This is a discussion worth reviewing: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2609406
I went to the BestBuy in 44th and 5th in the City. They're clueless. Two guys with "Samsung Experience Specialists" jerseys or jackets or whatever those zip up things are, the guy kept trying to sell me something COMPLETELY unrelated to what I wanted. Finally I asked him if he had the Qi-compatible charging stand and he said no. Said he only gets "about 2 in a week". I gave up and walked out.

FWIW, I live very close to Best Buy's HQ here in MN. I know a lot of good people employed by them. With BB being a hometown store here I am rarely more than 7 or 8 minutes from a store location wherever I travel in town... That said: I drive past all of them in favor of any competitor, even if I have to go further and/or spend a little more. I do not feel they practice good business ethics as a company, and I do my best boycott them. I do some consulting work, and on occasion am forced to buy a computer component from them. I have had to do this 7 times in the last 10 years, and 5 of those times ended up with a sales person who either lied, or was completely clueless sharing bogus information as fact - in spite of their being the in-store "expert". Good luck to all who shop there, but please don't count on their staff to help educate you on making a sound purchase.
