Hi,
Loving RR 2.6.1 but I can't stand the stock ICS camera.
I really like the camera I had on the stock rom 2.3.5, any chance that it would work on RR 2.6.1 ?
If so any chance for the camera.apk link ?

No ma8, the same(stock GB camera app) will not wrk on rr2.6.1 since it needs samsung framewrk and the rr 2.6.1 frame wrk is based on AOKP build, hence its not possible for now

i have the moded stock camera that comes with the rom + camera ICS + Ucam from stores

guys i want a rom that can use wifikill and i know that ics is not supported so im now on cm7.. i also tried the paranoid 4.1.2 it worked but the front facing camera doesnt work >< any rom that support wifikill and stable also not like the paranoid that has front camera FC..

I used to use wifikill with GB base ROMS, CheckROM and ParanoidAndroid before.. I think it works on PA (idk with the latest versions, i had my S2 last month and it worked flawlessly)

when ever i open my camera application say me stock camera or some 3rd party camera app it says cant connect camera i hav changed the rome i use custom rom
can anyone suggest what actually the problem

I think the problem is with kernel ! Do you use stock kernel or custom kernel ? Try any other custom ROM or flash stock ROM and see if the problem persists

i use custom kernal which with lenevo vibe rom
thnku soo much surely i will giv it a try...
but wen i flashed stock rom with sp tool there was no camera icon

No way ! When u flash sp tool stock rom there s no chance of camera disappearing ! If still u get so then its bcos u r flashing older version of stock rom ! As far as i know in newer CHD devices there is a slight camera hardware change and hence there is s specific sp tool version for it ! ( Ifu flash any other older camera might not appear ) I am not a CHD user. ! So check which is that version

since u r saying that there is no camera icon, it means the software thinks that there is no camera in the phone probably because it is a hardware defect.

How did u say it appeared earlier ?! What did u do after that that it has disappeared now ?
I think u should have a look at custom kernel specifically meant for latest CHD hardware phone. Have a look at A116 original android development thread

actually i flash 4.1.1 version. then when i booted up the phone camera was working perfectly
then i shifted to custom rom
from there the problem started the camera icon disappeared
when i flashed 4.2.1 versoin still there was no camera
m facing soo much diffuculties without camera
sir whick kernel shall i use cn i plz provide me the link..

The above link the guy that has shared is the correct link. See which version kernel is apt for you and flash it !

Camera Failed when i chose a stock kernl or boeffla - for v10.

I have a Friend whose using your S5 Sensation Rom V10 and the Camera of it is not working (Literally).
Do you have a patch for this or maybe this is Bug or maybe a lacking support... please respond... I really love youre work...

Me with the Rom 8.1. I have no problem with the camera. the kernel of the Rom 8.1 does not fit. because in the V10 is not the same version of android. and not the same rom. because in the Rom version 8.1 is based on the Rom Note 2. because in v10 version is I believe based on the version of S3 LTE.
patch for v10 camera
Patch for camera failed on s5 sensation rom v10. Work for me. Try on arter kernel. I did not Try on boeffla kernel.

I flash nos rom , and the camera doesn't work. Other camera app doesn't work too.then I flash another rom and the camera doesn't work too.
By the way,the photoflash doesn't work too.

Maybe it is due to missing cam sensor driver. Like mine is s5k3p3_f3p3man and long time back, the driver wasn't there i mean on the stock kernel but most of custom kernel include this driver, but for now almost all ROMs has it, so I don't need to flash custom kernel.

I have flashed Radon, but the camera doesn't work too, maybe my system lost the file.can you send it to me?

You can try to flash miui global stable 8.1.6 in edl mode or xiaomi.eu 8.2.1 stable in twrp and then flash custom rom. I think this will solve your problem
