Hi Guys,
Installed the 4.3 update on my SIII a couple days ago - all was fine until today.
As soon as i am away from WiFi and on Data - my phone will display a 3G Symbol or H+ Symbol in the notification bar signifying the Mobile Data is connected - however none of the apps work or update I cannot use the internet or anything that needs data.
A restart of the phone kick starts the data for about 5mins and then back to normal.

Hi,
Few weeks ago I rooted and update my new XperiaP to stock ICS (6.1.B.0.544) and everything was working just fine for some time.
Then one day I noticed that the Wifi doesn't work correctly - once connected to my home network it doesn't switch anymore to other
networks, Wifi switch doesn't work at all when I tap it moves to the OFF position but the icon on the status bar never disappears and when I
enter the menu again the Wifi switch is On. So I can switch to another network only after restart
After restart everything works fine...After that I noticed I have same problem with 3G - I can turn it ON only after restart otherwise even if the switch
shows it's on it actually isn't.
I don't have any exotic apps installed before that issue happened - the only think I remember I did was to activate 3G package from my provider.
Any Ideas or suggestions ?
Hi all!
Some day ago i just flashed the Stock WLS8 (spain) firmware on my i9100.
I've noticed that the WiFi and Data icon (when respectively active) are costantly active (i mean green and orange arrows are ever lighted) also if no process in transfering any data. i know this because i've monitored traffic on my WLAN and also installed TrafficMonitor and really no data is exchanged when the icon have both arrows highlighted...
After some day i've also Rooted it with the temporary CWM and the SuperSU 0.96 ... nothing changed.
is this a bug? how could i solve?
PS. with BetterBatteryStats installed i've noticed that GoogleMaps generate a lot of PartialWakeLoks with the process "NetworkLocationLocator"... but only when the GPS is OFF. Unfortunately the Icon problem ever appeared also when GPS was ON...
Thanks
Hello guys,
my problem relates to activating WiFi and/or mobile data on my phone.
First of all WiFi:
I'm used to enable it via status bar. But when clicked nothing happens but the symbol changing. When entering the WiFi settings through systemsettings WiFi is disabled. Enabling it there works fine, but is not what I would expect.
Before it worked fine.
Next problem.
When WiFi is enabled (it's most of the time when I'm at home) I disable mobile data (no matter if 2g or 3g). It runs over night till i leave home. Now when I want to enable mobile data, nothing happens. Even an analog work around described like above wouldn't work. The only way to get it working is to reboot the phone..
Any idea how to solve it?
My specs:
Samsung Galaxy S2 (int)
Kernel: Kernel_Siyah-Dorimanx-V9.10-[10-51]-[21-03]-JB-CM-AOKP-SGII-PWR-CORE
ROM: cm-10.1-20130321-NIGHTLY-i9100
Modem: I9100XXLS8
My fiancée and I got the same problem with the mobile data. I updated her phone with the latest nightly to be sure it's nothing that may have already been solved, so she got cm-10.1-20130320 nightly, I have yet to update from cm10, still running cm-10-20121209 nightly.
After turning on wifi or turning off mobile data (mobile data connection has to be interrupted) and leaving it off for a longer period of time, turning mobile data on again does not work. The button changes, the phone also reflects this in the data usage menu, the button is set to on, but nothing happens. Rebooting the phone then solves the problem, Mobile data can be turned on and off again for some time but leaving it turned off again will result in the same error. I hope this is somehow comprehensible.
Any idea what we can do about it?
I don't use CM anymore, but when I used to run CM9 that happened to me occasionally. Restoring a backup or reflashing the rom & kernel directly over the top of the current instal without wiping (if you're using another kernel) was the only thing that fixed it for me. You may find that reflashing the rom/kernel doesn't work; if it doesn't, I'd do a clean install (wipe/etc; tho I never had to do this to fix this problem).
First of all i want to clear up some things.
1. My phone is a A5 Smiley from Allview.
2. When i bought the phone i had Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
3. The company Allview that made the phone, now has a Updating software campaign for all there phones. All phones are updated to 4.4.2 KitKat
4. I updated my phone.
5. I got unlimited mobile internet , no problems regarding internet traffic data.
Here is the problem on 4.2.2 i never had these notification " Data service is blocked " (that is the data internet trough the sim card, i got unlimited GB of internet) Problem is that now on 4.4.2 Kitkat i get that notification and i can`t remove it. The only way i remove it is to tun ON Data connection from the control panel. but if i do that my phone has non stop internet witch eats up the battery. If i turn it off i get that notification.
Is there any way to remove that notification? NOTE: i can`t uncheck notifications, they don`t allow me to disable it.
Thanks waiting for a response.
I'm having random connection drops on the latest EU build. I tried reflashing the ROM, installing akhilnarang's vendor, changing kernels buy still no solution.
The phone will work well but suddenly lose mobile data (4G) connection for a few seconds and then come back. I noticed the VoLTE icon also disappears with it and then comes back but the network signal lines (on the status bar) show full signal the whole time.
Also, I'll suddenly drop a call sometimes and this is accompanied by the network signal lines disappearing (implying loss of network signal) and then coming back in a few seconds.
I have a very good signal from my carrier so that's not the problem. Also, the phone seems to work well for sometime (few hours) after a restart and then this "bug" comes back and I can't find any kind of solution to this.
This problem started to arise after I flashed the latest EU android Q build.
This bug is annoying and frustrating especially while playing online games.
Any kind of help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Many problems after Android 10 update
I have the same problem after updating my smartphone to Android 10, with no solution !
While i'm using data connection, i don't receive all the notifications in time.
I'm facing another weird problem which is the phone does a fast reboot after that it freezes for some seconds.
Same Ish
Same issue here, when streaming or downloading, my wi-fi or data connection will randomly drop and wont reconnect unles i reboot. Then will drop again once i start to download or stream. My other phones or laptop no issue.
Connections are good, as im writing this am streaming on my laptop but my poco refuses to connect to our wi-fi. Issue only popped up after the latest update
