Guys, do you know anything about defects on Z2 that on the market already ? One of a Russian source said tht Sony foung out 3 defects in Z2: waterproof gasket defect, 3.5 minijack defect, and screen defect. Do you know something about that all ? Who is already bought Z2, do you find any problem on your Z2 ?
I ordered Z2 on Ebay and now worriyng about this, cos i won`t be able to get a free warranty in Russia if i bought the phone out of my country.

Hi to all xperia z2 users.
I have galaxy s4 currently and planning to upgrade my phone. I don't have a big budget but recently the price for xperia-z2 is dropped in eBay India (imported ones)
The other attractive phone for me is the xiaomi MI 4, I love their Miui 6. MI 4 is far cheaper compared to the xperia-z2 and specs are about the same.
So I am looking forward for your opinions on this Sony phone. Does it worth to buy. I heard Waterproof is not working for everyone. Is that correct?
Or shall I go for MI 4 or any other phones..
Edit : If anyone has any experience or suggestions on xperia z1 compact, please respond. I love that small beast.

In my opinion its worth buying because i personaly love the sony UI
i recomend Xperia Z1, ZU if your not wiling to pay for Z2
if not an Xperia Nexus 5 is definatly something worth it and if you can pay up for a LG G3 then its worth it
Oppo N7 and One+one are alternates which are worth it, with the One+ being better than the N7 in terms of other quality
the Water proofing with Xperia Z2 is only a problem with Defective units

Do you have any idea on the Z1 compact. ? about it's performance compared with Z2.
And also, does these xperia z series phones (especially black ones) have wears and tears (of finger) on the back panel ?
* I believe, this doesn't affect much in while color phones ?

Performance is simular, Z2 being slightly faster due to hardware but not by much due to firmware
Xperias dont realy ware easy exept the flaps/port covers
White colored or lighter colored phones dont realy discolor or smudge too much unless you dont wash your hands often :/
I think the best bet for a device that is good is wait for Z2 to get 4.4.4 at this point
The device is tougher than Z1 and has a overal improved feel than Z1, its also not as expencive as Z3 and with this new upcoming update (probably couple months max im guessing) then Z2 is definatly worth it
Id take it in black just because damage doesnt show as easy with me and my clumbsyness

after i "killed" my beloved O+ i want to try a Xperia Z2 ... i had already a Z1 and loved it BUT i don´t like the Sony UI! And it was "Unlocked Allowed - NO"
So, my problem is, i really would love to buy a new Z2, BUT, how can i find out, if its Unlockable? ... i mean, who is the bad "guy" who decides to lock the BL forever? .. is it Sony, or the Network Carriers?

It's the carriers. Try to find one online. Where are you from?
Sony or Sonys 3rd party sellers are most likely to have unlockable bootloaders

best cam i think is Xperia Z2
with the new 4.4.4 update it seems nothing can rival a Z2 Camera at all
have a look around in those threads where people post their photos (google it im at work now )
G3 low light is not good at all. I have one sitting on my desk lol. Go with Z2 it has better battery by long shot, G3 quad HD screen kills the battery.

wow you are lucky. Z3 costs 503 euros here. But then , 360 for z2 makes it even better deal , since Z3 isnt that much better.

I want to buy a used z2 or m4 aqua. M4 aqua white really makes me love it.
I know the m4 heats and games lag on it.
So what should i buy OLD z2 or brand new M4 aqua?
I hope the device wont break for atleast 1 year as well.

if I were you I'd buy the Z2 because it had better specs, and maybe it'll have longer update support than M4, because it's a Z series flagship model. but if you like the white M4, then buy a white Z3, it has the same specs as Z2, and has similar housing to M4. the Z2, Z3 have 3gb ram, the M4 have just 2gb, so the Z2 and Z3 are faster than M4, and they also have bigger battery than M4.

2 year old Z2 is a better than newer phones. It was a flagship phone bro, with a big LED and big 3200 mAh battery and 3gb RAM. The only department were the Z2 suffers is from only 16gb internal memory.
So another question will the xperia Z2 and xperia Z3 get android N in 2017?

I think they will get it. They're flagship models and Z2 is just a 1 and half year old model. The Z get updates as a 2 and half years model

Everything is made in China these times demo only means ur model is for shops I think not for personal use.

I'm assuming he meant a vendor/store that sells cellphones... and the store might have a working model in display or for the customers to look at, and perhaps that's what they sold you. We don't know for sure. That's what I would assume for "Demo only"... as for "Made in China", unless I'm mistaken, I think all the Xperia's were made in China, my D5302 is made in China, and I bought it directly from Sony.
Hope that helps. We don't know if yours is "bad" or not, hopefully you got a legitimate product, but you never know if you buy off a random source.
