I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 from straight talk running.Jelly Bean. I have tried everything known to mman to try and root this dang phone everything fails. I'm really hoping that I dont brick it. Is their anyway someone can send me a flash rom of their rooted Samsung Galaxy S3 running jelly bean from.straight talk cause I don't wanna screw up my apn. Cause the phone.doesn't give the option to manually input the sons. Thanks.in advance tech friend!

Can some one please help me im retarded!! I have been trying to root my Verizon Galaxy s2 4.1.1 using odin an what not. Im a total noob. i go to the site to down the the file an all that good stuff but when i do the odin thing it fails every time. I then have to pull the battery an start over. I need step by step help. like how do i know what the right files are to down load an stuff like that. Im going crazy. I did my driod x2 with no problem but cant get this done on my galaxy s3 running 4.1.1? HELP PLEASE>>>>>>>>>:crying:
Can you be more specific to your problem like which guide you are using for rooting and what exactly are you doing to get the error?

secondly, u have problem on s2 or s3?
So i messed up and forgot to make a back up of my phone before messing around. I messed it up and i finaly got it working with an old backup that was on android 4.1.2 when i was on 4.3 and now i cant get back to 4.3. So i am asking please anyone who has a stock backup of samsung galaxy s3 sch-r530x on firmware 4.3 id really appreciate it

So. I Just Got A Samsung Galaxy S2 SPH-d710 From Ebay. So When I Bought The Phone. It Was Working When I Got It For Like 1-2 Months. After That, When I Turn In On. It Gets Stuck On The Samsung Galaxy SII Boot Sceen. I have Tried To Take It To Restore Mode Cant Work. It can Only Go To Download Mode. I Updated The Phone, So If You Can Find A Samsung Galaxy SII Download From JellyBean To Gingerbread Downgrade. [mod edit]

Pardon me for asking, but I would like some help with my Galaxy S3. A friend helped me root it a few years ago when I first got it, but I don't keep in touch with him anymore and I don't know how to update its firmware now.
I know it's rooted for sure as I've got SuperSU and Titanium Backup installed on it, but I've been on Android 4.1.2 for years now because I can't update it normally anymore. Everytime I look into trying to do so, I'm confused as to which method or files I should use, so I would really appreciate some help here.
Just a couple of queries first.
1) Is it possible to just update the firmware without any fancy ROM or anything like that?
2) Will I lose my data from doing so?
Again, please bear with me as I'm really new to all this and I might get some terms or understanding wrong. Thanks in advance.

Not much detail in ur statement. Is ur phone rooted? If not, root n install a custom Rom
