Can you at least answer my question to you in that thread so we can get some traction with the devs? I found a couple missing APN settings while on that rom too.
For curiosity....you don't live in pa too do you?

Hi, I'm rooted and I just got an alert to download an update! Is this normal?
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
Never take an ota when you are rooted, thats the rule of thumb. It won't hurt now because both versions of the hboot are unlockable using revolutionary, but i would suggest flashing a rom that's based off the ota.

Because your stock rooted. If you were running a custom rom you wouldnt, but on the stock system everything is the same except for root access and whatever you saw fit to change.
am I correct in assuming that there isn't any custom rom yet for the evo 3d yet. I'm on the temp perm root
There are already quite a few custom roms on the Dev page already, and it's still below 24 hours since unlock and root. Read the [ROM] posts and chose one to flash, after you Revolutionize.

Yes like he said this time is ok. We don't know if the bootloaders will change in the future though, so you can update to get back to the newest and start using custom roms from there.
Personally if I can stay stock rooted and just keep using the HTC updates I would.

Sine I have been a long time lurker, and just registered I had to post this in the Q&A section, and not in NRG’s post, so I apologize for this. I did my due diligence and searched for the answer to this, and the question hasn’t been asked since the beginning of March so I thought I would see if NRG himself or someone else could answer the question on how to get Hulu to work with these ROMs. We all know that it is due to the ads being blocked, but from what I do not know. Anyone have any ideas?
T-mo HTC Amaze NRG’s March 10th, 2012 (3.10.2012)(GB) Rom flashed.
Thanks

I don't think so. You can always flash previous version here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2040264 and get it OTA updated.

Do y'all know if going back to stock would fix connection issues. Im having terrible data connection issues ever since I flashed the jb 10 rom. I tried doing a nan restore but still have connection issues. And the *228 isnt working now either.

You should never use *228 on an lte device. It usually cooks the sim card. I would go to stock and probably get a new sim now. A ROM usually can't affect signal unless it's an AOSP ROM, but if that's the only variable changed then it would make sense to undo it.

Which file do you recomend I flash or use odin with. The main one or the one that lets you keep the unlocked bootloader.

Sure, go all in from the feet up - KK. I thinks it's frowned upon here to recommend a ROM other than that you just have to try them and see which one works out for you. That said I try a bunch but keep close BeanStalk-4.4.255-20140307-quincyatt, with Polluti0n's Rom Patch - stable (just like my mother in law said); everything works great, if only twins was legal
P/S
BTW that patch is recommended across multiple KK roms (if I'm right), kernels, CPU gov., selections etc are in-built, I just go default.
And fyi I don't do GAPPS, Google and NSA can take a walk off a short cliff.
EDIT:Cos slowed my phone and I don't have a compelling reason to use GAPPS anyway.
hello xda members! i am in a rush as i am on my way to work as i post this
but i'm running on freeza's very wonderful note 3 rom and recently (as of last week) i keep getting modem crash errors. out of no where,
i've taken some screenshots and hopefully these are helpful. ive only seen it actually happen once, every other time the phone isnt in my line of sight.
it happened while i was reading manga from my phone. any other time the phone is dormant.
i greatly appreciate your time in looking at this, and hope there is a resolution. i am very new to this entire proccess and was helped this far by droidmodderx and wwjoshdew
Am I posting in the wrong place? Id like to take this to the development section but my post count isnt high enough and I dont spam. Is there anyone that can at leaat give me a hint?

Flash back to stock with odin and reroot and install recovery .... then see if it still does it ... could be hardware issue or stay on stock for a couple days and see ...if it's hardware get it replaced otherwise it could just be a bad software issue that could be fixed by starting over ...

After looking for fixes what worked for me was flashing twrp recovery
hltespr-recovery-4.4.img.tar
Could you post a link for the TWRP recovery. I just had a modem crash for the first time today. I thought I was on the latest stable TWRP version, but if there's another one that may be better I'd be ok flashing that.

You've been getting modem crashes on a regular, sustained basis? Are the moments repeatable or unpredictable?
I've had them when completely stock with only root, and when running stock DeOdex, plus when on custom roms, on both NABD and NC5D (ie, before and after WiFi calling).

Very unpredictable when they happen.. I cannot replicate. They've all happened since flashing the NC5 engineering bootloader. Once i had 3 in a row all back to back about 5 to 10 minutes apart.
I've contemplated flashing the NC5 developers bootloader but from what you've just told me, they'd probably still occur.
Right now they occur maybe once every or every other week.
This never occurred while i was on stock NAB
