tether - Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Themes and Apps

Hello,
I have some tether questions;
From my S3 (AT&T) to P600,
I was looking at Easy Tether to use my rewards before they expire. Reviews look good and I find no good or bad info here.
What is anyone else using that may be better?
If I put East Tether on my P600 what do I need to do on my phone?

[Q] Hotspot Galaxy S2 and Xoom with Virgin

Hi
I have a Moto Xoom WiFi and would like to use it from time to time with my phone .
The idea is to take an offer from Virgin Mobile UK for a Galaxy S2 and use it as a Hotspot for my Xoom.
Would any UK users out there know if Virgin allows it before I engage myself for two years?
Thanks
T.
A more simple question. Can a Samsung GS2act as a hotspots with a Motor Zoom?
The reason I ask is today I went to a Virgin shop. The guy did not know if it would work. So he asked one of the girl there if we could use her S2 as a hotspot with my Xoom. It did say connected , but they could not communicate. So, I am still uncertain to get a GS2.

Heh great to see you followed the advice from our site.
Sorry I've not been much help, though I'm sure someone here will be able to help you.

Unlimited Data Wifi Tether Hotspot 4.4.2

I just bought my wife a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on Verizon from someone. The phone is the I605 and already has 4.4.2 installed. I just obtained root with ghettoroot and now I am trying to find out how to obtain wifi hotspot without subscription on unlimited data? I am coming from Motorola phones that had KitKat and had patches that fixed the problem. Does anyone have a fix for this?
No but try tetherfy and if that doesn't work Foxfi, both available in the play store
Sent from my SCH-I605 using XDA Free mobile app

You need to install xposed framework followed by xtether/mototether module. You can them the use the stock hotspot.

What s6 should I buy for Metropcs?

I bought a [email protected] s6 sm-g920a but I can't root it and some feature don't work on my network. Can someone recommend the right phone? Should I get T-mobile?
Yes, the T-Mobile or official Metro one. Probably a lot easier to get the T-Mobile one, but I don't think the wifi calling and/or tethering would work, if you need those features. You should be able to fix the tethering with root though.

BOOST J327P Tethering

So My old galaxy S4 with cyanogenmod which tethered unlimited without a problem broke last week when I tried to replace the screen and destroyed the digitizer.
I bought this J327p and now my primary source of internet is gone with the tethering limitations.
If I can't get this to work I am returning it tonight.
I rooted the phone and I tried the easily searchable suggestions people have to get this working.
One guy suggested an app called Wifi Tether Router but you have to pay for it and I don't want to do that if it's not guaranteed to work.
I edited the boot.prop file but that also didn't work.
Does anyone know anything I can do to get tethering to work, if not what phone do you suggest I buy at a maximum $250. I really don't need much from my phone except good reception for internet.
I downloaded this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/rom-pl1-samsung-galaxy-j3-emerge-sm-t3580396
But I'm not sure what that is or if I should try it.
any useful suggestions really appreciated.
Also this is a bit over my head so please use full explanations and definitions of terms.
use easytether pro it usrs yr adb to create a parallel data sourced internet, juts plug it in usb and download the modem /drivr of mobilesrteam.com

Unlocked Kyocera Duraforce and hotspot options

Being a new member, I'm limited on where I can post. Hope I'm in the right area I found this site and it looks like someone here would be the most likely to give some insight to my question.
I've been through several "rugged" smartphones in the last few years. They all have held up to their claims of being rugged but fail on the least likely areas. I'm now looking at the Kyocera Duraforce. I need a GSM phone for my area. I can get a new one reasonably priced but I sure do like the hotspot feature when it's called for. I'm on an unlimited plan from my local provider. It looks like the unlocked ones from AT&T are designed to not allow the hotspot to work on any other network other than AT&T.
So my question is if anyone has found a way to make this possible on an unlocked Duraforce phone? My last phone died the other day and my wife is nagging that I NEED A PHONE. I was late picking up our youngest at the bus stop the other day Hope someone could offer a potential solution? I'm a techie by trade, but I admit Android is a mystery to me.
I used the PdaNet+ app available on the Google Play store to get around the hotspot restriction on my AT&T Duraforce E6560 so I could use it as a hotspot on the Telus network in Canada. You can try the app for free, but costs US$10 to remove the trial restrictions.
PdaNet+ can enable USB tethering and/or create a Wi-Fi Direct hotspot on the phone. You have to install a small app on your computer to connect to the hotspot or USB. So it wouldn't provide a hotspot for a TV or game console unless you could set up a proxy on the device.
I haven't tried the USB tethering, but the hotspot works fine with my Windows 10 laptop.
