Hey everyone, this is my first post on XDA, I hope I'm putting this thread in the right section.
I've got a Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, that I successfully installed ClockWorkMod onto, and rooted a few months back. About a week or so ago, I decided to reflash my ROM from CM10.2 (I believe it was JB 4.3) to CM11. Flashing KitKat worked perfectly fine. Stupid as I was, I became curious about trying out ART, as I had the option available to use. Despite the warning given to me about how CyanogenMod doesn't support ART, I decided to try it anyway.
Doing this stuck it into an endless boot loop, with the CM logo spinning endlessly. I then went into CWM to try to go back to 4.3. I did all the usual stuff that's required (formatting user data, caches, etc.), and then re-flashed the ROM back to 4.3. All of these worked fine, but now whenever I try to boot, it immediately jumps to CWM, which a split second later (I can't make out what's being shown prior), prompts me to root the OS. This struck me as odd, as I never had to do this when I originally flashed 4.3 onto the device. I'm terrible at describing things occasionally, so I've attached a photo of the screen I'm presented with:
Regardless of which option I choose (Yes / No / Go Back), it'll then reboot itself, only to bring me back to the same prompt,
Over,
and over,
and over again.
I can get into download mode, if that helps present any solutions. I've installed all the necessary USB and ADB drivers, yet neither Odin or my computer, will recognize the device. I'm still fairly new to rooting, so I'm running out of ideas to try here. Rooting my Nexus 7 (2012) gave me no issues whatsoever . Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated!
(I'm a full-time college student, as well as employed full-time, so I will try to reply as quickly as possible)
Thanks in advance!
How long did you wait for the your device to boot up? Because when I first tried Art on BeanStalk, it took awhile to boot up.

ART works fine on the SGP4.0 AFAIK. However the time to convert to it do take a little long. (at least 10 min for that matter) Compared to new gen devices, don't forget that this device have 1 processor (clocked at 1GHZ) so it can take more time to convert but it will convert. If ever it isn't working, try to wipe data, then retry again.

I let it boot overnight, to no avail.
The more important issue is the unusual recovery loop I'm getting. I can live without ART for the time being.

Hmm I would probably guess it's because of the partition changes I have done between 4.3 which leads to a loop. Can you try to reflash the CM11 zip, then see if it works. (with all the wiping required)
If worst come to worst, you can still try a flash from stock.

No I can't. If you read the whole post, my current issue is a boot loop originating from CWM. It keeps wanting me to root the OS (as I said before), and doesn't seem to work regardless of which option I choose.

You're going to have to flash completely back to stock with heimdall.

I've never touched Heimdall before. I don't mean to be a pain, but is there any way you could walk me through the process? Once I'm re-rooted and whatnot, I should be okay from then on.
Sure I'll walk you through it later on. And to be clear you do have a US galaxy player correct? Also I use the older version of heimdall cause it makes more sense too me lol. I think it is suite 1.1 or 1.2

All right then.
----Getting the Necessary Files------
1) Download YPG1USRetoreFinal http://download1768.mediafire.com/2f0o1c6z3w9g/aodm44hzan3jauo/YPG1USRestoreFinal.zip
2) Download Heimdall suite 1.1.1 https://github.com/downloads/Benjamin-Dobell/Heimdall/heimdall-suite-1.1.1-win32.zip (just click the links)
3) Extract both. The restore file should be 292 mb, and the heimdall suite should be 16.2mb
----Installing device's driver for Hemidall----
4) Next put the device in download by holding volume down + power
5) Click on the heimdall folder, and click on "Drivers". You should see a file that says "zadig". Open it up.
6) Go to where it says "Options", and select "List All Devices" from the drop down menu. If you did this right under "USB Device" it should read "SAMSUNG USB Composite Device", it also show the Vendor ID, Product ID, and Current Driver.
7) Click on "Install Driver", you'll get an error saying "Windows can't verify the publisher of this device". Ignore it and click "Install this driver software anyway".
8) If you've done these steps correctly, a window should pop up saying "The driver was installed successfully"
9) You can close out Zadig and open up Heimdall-frontend
----Flashing with Heimdall---- It's very easy (well using this version anyway lol)
This is pretty straight forward. All we are doing is matching the files from the YPG1USRestoreFinal, to what it says in the GUI.
That means you will be only looking at "FactoryFS", "Kernel(zImage), "Param.lfs", "Cache", and "Database Data" and nothing else.
Here we go:
10) Click "Browse" under FactoryFS, and navigate to where you saved your YPG1USRestoreFinal file, then click on factoryfs.rfs
11) Click "Browse" under Kernel (zImage), and select zImage
12) Click "Browse" under Param.lfs, and select param.lfs
13) Click "Browse" under Cache, and select cache.rfs
14) Click "Browse" under Database Data and select dbdata.rfs
It should look like this.
Make sure you double, and triple check that all files are in the right places, and that your usb is firmly connected.
15) Once done doing that hit start, and it will begin flashing. Shouldn't take that long. You will have 2 progress bars (one in heimdall, and one on the player itself), after the process is done the galaxy player will reboot on its own.
----Final Steps----
You'll notice that the galaxy player is still in a bootloop, so what you have to do is boot into the stock recovery by holding "volume up + power, then letting go of power after a second"
If done correctly you'll see the player restoring the cache, and data (it should be in yellow text). After that it will reboot on its on and be like new!
Note: This ROM is already prerooted so you don't have to worry about rooting it yourself.

That worked wonderfully! Thanks! I already went ahead and flashed the Terrasilent kernel (with CWM) so that I can then start flashing CM9, 10, 10.1, and so on until I get back to 4.4 (Where I won't enable ART this time!) :silly:
I'll let you know how it goes.

'Yeah that's what I'm thinking. It may have been just a fluke. I guess I can test it on mine after I come back from class.
CM11 is successfully flashed and working...
Except now my EFS is gone, and the backup I had made is gone as well. And because of that, now my home button doesn't respond (which I know is a somewhat common issue with CM11 on the YP-G1. I did grab the dummy EFS and edit in my buyer code (XAA), Bluetooth MAC address, and serial number. I copied it in to /efs, and rebooted to a still non-responsive home button.
Any suggestions?
Are you sure you don't have more backups because everytime I flashed it created a new one. You can try flashing back to stock again with heimdall

I played around with it a bit, and I fixed the home button issue. I had to wipe the cache (and the dalvik cache), reflash, and reboot, and it's fine now.
I'm still worried about the EFS though.

Does your power menu and lockscreen work? If it does than your efs is fine. Also check to see if your backup isn't blank and then copy it to youe pc lol. I have like 6 backups of mine lol.

Both the power menu and lock screen are completely fine. Lesson learned, now I'll make it a habit to backup my EFS every time.
And make a backup of the backup
And so on

Back up everything, I'm not responsible for anything you do to your phone. These steps have helped everyone who has come to IRC. Just made a one stop guide.
You shouldn't need to post anything in this thread other than to mention if there is a broken link. If you want to thank me, thank the developers instead. They did all the real work. If you really feel like thanking me after that, you can thank me on IRC instead of making a post. I don't like runaway threads and clutter.
You will need these following files:
On computer:
Odin: http://goo.gl/JT9uU
Stock ED05: http://goo.gl/RC28q
Atlas_v2.2 PIT: http://goo.gl/Hktky
CWM4: http://goo.gl/7DmxF
EC09 Modem: http://goo.gl/v8FF7
GB Bootloaders: http://goo.gl/6aJ1N
Nexus S Drivers: http://goo.gl/2qpr (SDK download)
http://goo.gl/ZWGG (Explanation)
On SD card on your phone where you can find it:
Vgb version 7: http://kan.gd/xso
Latest Gapps: http://goo.gl/mVVso
STEP 1
A)BACKUP EVERYTHING, make a nandroid, back up stuff in Titanium Backup.
B)Install the Nexus S drivers. You will have to download the Android SDK in order to do so.
STEP 2
A)Start Odin.
B)Make sure Repartition is checked on the left.
C)Make sure atlas_v2.2.pit is in the PIT section
D)Make sure CI500_VZW_ED05_FROYO_REL.tar.md5 is in the PDA section with it checked off
STEP 3
Double check Step 2 and connect your phone into download mode and press start. (Download mode = take out battery, connect phone to computer using USB, hold down volume button and a yellow triangle symbol will pop up)
STEP 4
After it passes in Odin, boot up to stock.
STEP 5
A)Turn off phone and go back into download mode.
B)In Odin press reset and DESELECT repartition on the left.
C)Make sure cwm4_fixed_for_cm7-ODIN is in the PDA section
D)Press Start
STEP 6
Three finger (Volume up + Volume down + Power button) into recovery. If you let it boot up normally it will overwrite CWM and you will have to repeat STEP 5.
STEP 7
A)Wipe data, cache, dalvik
B)Install from SD, navigate to where you put full fascinatemtd ota eng.jt1134 0811 signed.zip (VGB version 6) and install.
STEP 8
A)Let it reboot and boot up all the way.

C)Navigate to where you put gapps_update-2.3.5-gb-20110725-signed.zip on your sd card
E)Install then reboot system fully
STEP 11
You should now have Android Market
A)Download ROM manager from Market

STEP 13
Make me a sammich
STEP 14
Restore Apps+Data only from Titanium Backup. Deselect any Google Apps because you now have the latest 2.3.5 versions. DON'T RESTORE ANY ****ING SYSTEM SETTINGS.
STEP 15
Reboot
STEP 16
Profit
If you want to put on CM7 or MIUI, then substitute that ROM for vgb. MIUI doesn't need GAPPS.
If you want to flash a custom kernel such as Glitch and use Adrenaline Shot, reboot into recovery using the reboot menu. Wipe dalvik, flash kernel first, make sure it's for MTD ROMs and not EH09. Let it boot up all the way before rebooting back into recovery using the reboot menu. Then flash Adrenaline shot.
Glitch's kernel : http://goo.gl/DnGkT
dsexton702's Adrenaline Shot: http://goo.gl/NKJ4P
MAKE SURE YOU USE A UNIVERSAL ANDROID VERSION OF THE TWEAK
Thanks to Jt1134 for sharing his personal ROM and his continued efforts. Also the other devs, Team Hacksung, TeamSbrissenMod, people on IRC, and other people who have contributed and made our phone so damn sexy.
Honestly best written tutorial I have ever witnessed. Definitely helped me with this and on IRC. THANKS A LOT BRWNSUPERMAN!
So I did this with MIUI so do I have to install the latest kernel or can I still use glitch?
Even if you are on CM7 already and still have to do all of that..wow

Really all you need is to flash a froyo package(the pit file is good if you are coming from one back to FRoyo but its really not needed) I just, 30 minutes ago, went from Miui by Froyo by just using the EB01 Froyo package (No Pit) and it worked fine.
To get back to MIUI I just odined the CWM tar booted up,went back to Recovery and flashed MIUI.
When you flash it the first time it does a quick flash then reboots and then goes into the "checking bml/mtd.' It can take awhile and looks like its doing nothing so make sure you give it some time. good luck
Oh and the OP instructions are great and very complete but like he said you can cut out parts of it so I don't want to sound like I'm knocking them, but sometime short and simple works better.
Have you tried the GB Odin package and flashing from there? I just noticed I had it on my PC and was wondering if it would work...seems like it should and may help get you past what ever it is that's stopping you.
I got it FINALLY. Now on MIUI, I installed a new SD card and got it to work. MY main problem was the fact with my previous Sd card, I didn't wipe it or in particular, I suspect the old update.zip was the problem.
I followed this to a "T" as well to go to MIUI from bare-bones stock ED05 package....and it still doesn't see my brand new SD card!!! It sees an old 2GB FAT sd card just fine in MIUI, but no go for my 16GB FAT32 card. Its so weird, b/c the stock ED05 (tw based) OS sees my 16GB all day...even CWR 4.x.x.x saw it until after you flash the MIUI rom.
Please advise. Thanks!!!

Have you guys formatted the cards with sd formatter or tried a battery pull?
I have very limited experience w/ MIUI. You'd get better help from that thread.
Great guide btw but im having a little bit of trouble and cant figure out what to do.
After putting the cwm4 file in the pda slot after hitting reset. I then press start but it is failing with an error: cant open the specified line 1455
any ideas?
Edit: I got it figured out. Seriously amazing guide. The only thing i might say that i had a problem with, is the first time you say to click reset in odin, it still leaves the re-partition box checked. And my Cwm4 wouldnt install with it checked. I did some googling and a couple people has success just by unchecking it and so did I. After that whenever you said reset odin, i just closed the app and repopened it so it was a fresh open with nothing checked.
Also towards the bottom my connection icon was white even through toggling airplane i had to open the market first, once again could be just me.\
Other than that.... everything was spot on, great job!

Thanks, updated it. I was meaning to do it earlier, usually Odin just skips the repartition if there is no pit file in place. Didn't know it caused problems, but it got me off my lazy ass.
Wow!
Only did step 2, the phone close and there is no power at all now!
Totally bricked!
Ooops! I did the jig trick and it come back! I was a little bit afraid!
The only problem I have is the home button and reverse button are switched.
And the volume down is not working too, I'm sure it is because I have a fascinate, any patch for this?
Thanks
And I lost the unlock function on my phone, are you able to tell me how to unlock it again?
I may be wrong, but I think V7 for JT's Vanilla GB is up on Rootzwiki dated 8/29?
So here's my story. I decided I wanted to root my Bell Motorola Atrix and put Cyanogenmod on it. So I went to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1302423 and followed it step by step perfectly - no issues. I installed the latest nightly of Cyanogenmod for the atrix without any issue it said it was successful and I let it boot. In the guide it said wait up to 10 minutes but my phone never got passed the "unlocked" screen after like 15 minutes. So I did a battery pull and tried again - same issue. So I tried reinstalling it and went through the same process of not getting passed the "unlocked" screen. I then tried recovering into my backup. Now this is where I think my problems are coming from.
After transfering the cyanogenmod nightly build zip to my phone I was pretty low on space, but I thought nothing of it. I did the clockworkmod backup and it seemed to have no problems however I noticed afterwards my phones internal storage was sitting at something like 5kb of free space left. So fast forward to now, and I'm currently thinking even though it said it worked, I think it didn't manage to backup everything so I'm left without a proper backup to restore from. (At least I figure, because it won't work.)
So pretty much I'm able to boot in to the clockworkmod menu but that's about it, and I'm not sure if I can install a new rom with how little internal space I have, is there anything I can do? :S Help would be REALLY APPRECIATED! Sorry if this is in the wrong section!!!
Right section! From within CWM, you can go to Mounts and Storage> Mount USB storage so that you can clean some stuff out from your computer. Then just try another ROM!
When I do that I can only get my external SD to show up under my computer, I can't get access to the internal memory.
Thanks for the reply!!
They should both show. Try another reboot into recovery. Why not just use your external if you have one?
Hm. I thought it installed it onto the internal storage. Or at the very least, your phone boots from the internal storage.
I'll try that and see how it goes, thanks very much!
No problem. Let me know how it goes, and hit the thanks BUTTON
I installed Cyanogenmod from the external sd (internal still won't show up) and I'm still getting stuck at the "unlocked" screen. :S
Did you do a fastboot wipe before you tried installing?

A fastboot wipe? Like going into cwm and clearing cache, dalvik cache, etc?
If that's not it, what is it?
It can be accessed by holding volume down during a boot. It's part of the android SDK. I'll find you a link in a sec, hold on.
EDIT:
I haven't personally tried this tool. Give it a shot:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1314607
Make sure your phone is in fastboot mode and use the tool for option 10 (erase all).
Then retry flashing CM7 from your external sd.

Still not work. Stuck on unlock screen.
The steps I took just now were:
1. Option 10 through the tool you just showed me.
2. Boot into cwm
3. Install cyanogen through my sd card
It's weird, the first install I did took a few minutes. Ever since, each time I've attempted an install it says it's successful after like 15 seconds.
It's a small package and shouldn't take that long (15 seconds sounds about right). I'd try the latest weekly instead. Do the fastboot wipe again first.

I'm already using that one. I've tried the latest nightly, and the one that's considered "stable" on the cyanogenmod xda thread. Neither has worked.
Well the last thing I can think to try (and this is only because of your space issue): Boot into recovery again, Mounts and Storage>format all of the options there manually. Perhaps the PDS fix from the fastboot tool as well.

I'm not entirely sure if I'm using that one. Would it make much of a difference?
Well it's (potentially) the only inconsistency between what I do every day and what you are doing now. When you boot into recovery it should say up top what build it is. Mine reads "CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.7-atrix5." You should be using this one (grab it from my previous link if you aren't).
I changed from an iPhone 4 in May to the Samsung Note. On my iPhone I would immediately jailbreak and install MyWi. In my research to do the same on the note I ran across a rooting tutorial for my device and followed the instructions http://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-note-att-i717-root-without-increasing-flash-counter-61325/ (I am not positive, but I feel confident this is the one I followed). I installed Superuser and Titanium Backup, did a backup of ATT connection manager, then removed it. Tethering worked like a charm. This has worked and I had no issues until Friday June 14th.
On Friday, everytime I opened an app on my phone I would get a Force Close. I restarted the phone and watched as it repeatedly happened after every cycle. Believing that installing Droid VNC Server was the issue, the last app I had installed, I removed it successfully and included others I didn’t use. Upon reboot, I noticed the notification of App Updates and a missed call. Checked the application list and noticed that all of the apps I had just removed were still there. I have a ton of pics and videos and thought that I should back them up immediately before I deleted them, prepared for the worst. I was able to do that. I deleted them all, nothing in the gallery. When the phone crapped out again and rebooted, all apps and all pictures back.
I formatted the USB Storage, seemed to delete nothing and also showed the same amount of used space as before.
Time for a restore. I know now that the recovery partition is gone and so a Wipe/reset is fruitless. No problem. I know how to flash the rom. I used this method with Odin. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1506330
Everything seemed to work successfully, but upon reboot I get the same app updates notification and the same missed call notification. The same frozen state my phone was in when the issue started on Friday. WTH!
I have everything backed up. How do I get back to stock? I could care less about the counter. I just want my phone to be usable again.

did you try wiping Catche and Dav?
Wipe Catch > Wife Davlik > Fix Permision, then reboot ..
see what happens ..
Not a noob, but here is where i am lost
I booted in to recovery, chose to Wipe/Erase . I see no option to Wipe Davlik except for in SuperUser and there it is a paid option, not sure where to find Fix Permission and then reboot?
I am assuming these are all options for CWM. I attempted to put CWM on an SD card last night and install from ZIP, but Recovery does not seem to see the SD card.
Are these options that are available for CWM, if so I will push through until I get it to work, but I have had no luck to this point.

I have attempted to Flash ROMs I don't desire just to move forward. They all flash and pass in Odin but on reboot I still have my default screen. Unfortunately, I want to go back to stock. I have done plenty of research and need something more to push on to the next thing. I am looking at phone and there is not an Advanced option in recovery. I have read there are options in CWM but I am looking at what I believe is the stock recovery options.

after you are rooted ,
you should have nothing to do with Odin.
and also, if you were stuck on your phone trying to boot up, chances are you keep downloading a bad ROM..
happen to me before..a ROM that was suposed to be 192MB,
would finish on 158MB
someone else may be able to help you get back to stock ROM..i havent had the chance to ever wanna go back to stock so i wouldnt know for sure.

You now have a custom recovery(according to Odin). The problem is, you're doing the wrong key combo as stated above. You can also go to the market and grab FJ's power tool. You can boot into recovery directly from the app. Good luck.

Still having issues. Here is the deal.
I have the phone in Download mode
https://www.dropbox.com/s/dnk6ekjqp9vddev/2012-06-19 19.40.01.jpg
I load the CWM Recovery in the PDA box. Start the flash, get a pass. All looks good to me.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/5q4hayf35mm26wr/odin-success.PNG
I immediately attempt to access CWM Recovery by holding the power, vol+ and vol- and still get the default recovery
https://www.dropbox.com/s/d176blydonlvrlu/2012-06-19 20.13.42.jpg
I am so confused as to what I am doing wrong.
Unfortunately those pics aren't loading for me. Try again with the pic of recovery and the file you're flashing. Thanks. If you still have stock recovery then maybe that's what you're flashing in error.
Try volume up + down and power button. When phone vibrates, release power button but keep holding volume buttons until you are in cwm.
I would use Odin to flash cwm touch recovery from pda, then load a rom via cwm. Using that method you don't even need to root because it's all done at bootloader level and root is built in to the custom rom you flash
SGH-i717 mesosphere-remix
[Q] Can boot into a "black screen" recovery and get ADB feedback but that is it.
Strange issue I have here, well it is to me at least, my fathers SGH-I777 the AT&t model boots fine and works when booted but the play store gives me the "no connection" on both wifi and hspa+ and there are a few apps that do not work and cannot be updated for android 4.3 because of the play store. All that is just a day on android and would be fixable if recovery worked. It had or possibly still has clockworkmod recovery installed on it, no idea of the version unfortunately. The first thing that came to my mind was to just update it, well, it cannot be that easy as the latest version of ROM manager does not work, it crashes on startup. So I decided to try ADB and I will get this back if it is in its black screen version of recovery mode
Code:
C:\1>adb devices
List of devices attached
0123456789ABCDEF recovery
C:\1>
and this if it is booted into android
Code:
C:\1>adb devices
List of devices attached
0123456789ABCDEF device
C:\1>
Kind of a side note but also the main issue, when I try to "reboot to recovery" or hold both volume rockers and the power button till to logo appears all I get is a black screen and if it is dark enough in the room you can see that the backlight is on. So I am assuming a corrupted file somewhere, I just need to get somewhere and so far after 3 hours of searching for a solution today I have not. I don't know where to splice this in so i'll do it here; I am pretty sure this is a result of my father having Cyanogenmod updater update from 10.1 to 10.2 without completely re flashing boot and installing from a "factory reset" device then recovering the data.
List of some other things I have tried:
installing the latest apk of the play store
installing the latest apk of ROM manager
not much else that I can think of at this time, but ask and I will either try it or tell you if I have and try again anyways. Not too urgent but thank you for being here xda .
I just read this "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1824419" and it looks like rom manager is not a good idea, still need to find a way to install the recovery though and I have no idea how to get fastboot to work without it.

Just a couple of points, which may be helpful if you are not very familiar with the SGH-I777. Recovery is built into the kernel, not in a separate partition of it's own, so you can't just install a recovery, you must install a kernel containing a recovery.
Rom manager is said to be OK when you have CM on the phone, but in your case it would probably be best to avoid it until the problem is resolved.
The solution 4-2ndtwin posted sounds correct to me. If it were my phone, I'd try that first before flashing back to stock.

Sorry for being so late but this worked and allowed me to boot into recovery. Thank you so much!
Just tried to install TWRP (Touch) from the wrong forum on top of my existing recovery, I guess (not really sure what I did; was watching NFL simultaneously.. DANG!). And now my phone won't get past the boot screen anymore...
My International Galaxy SIII is (was) unlocked and rooted; running the U.K. (O2) version of Android 4.1.2.
Retracing my steps, it seems like I tried to install the US/Verizon recovery image of TWRP on my i9300 by mistake. When I downloaded the image from GooManager, it offered to install the image right upon completion. And thinking that I was in the correct XDA-Dev Forum section, I confirmed... Bad Mistake. (Yes... I know, I'm an idiot...).
FWIW, I've been 'messing' with my Smartphones + multiple Tablets for 6+ years now, but I never managed to brick anything thus far. Bad 1st time, as I am about to move back to Europe (from the US).
Phone does not show on Laptop (under drives/devices) anymore. I do know about ADB and some basic commands (..enough to install ROMs, boot into Recovery, Bootloader etc.), but what can I do if I don't even get passed the boot screen? What's the command I need, and how can that get me back on track? -- Tried to shut down, use "the usual" power button/volume button combinations; even pulled SD card storage and SIM (as I had read that suggestion in the i-9000 Forum)... No dice.
I would kinda stink, but if I have to wipe my phone to make it work again, so be it... I have ROM Manager backups stored on my external SD card.
-- Any help & suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Armin
P.S.: Since I wanted to get rid of ClockworkMod, I did not take a Nandroid BU first...of course

AWESOME... That did the trick!!!
Here's a quick step-by-step for getting your phone back to life via Download mode (my modest contribution to the community):
1. Pull battery
2. Put battery back in and go into download mode right away (pressing POWER + Volume DOWN + HOME button)
3. Confirm that you want to continue (Volume UP)
4. Connect phone to your PC
5. Download .tar file of whatever you want/need to flash
6. Fire up Odin
7. Leave all Odin settings as they are.. don't check/uncheck anything (!!).
8. Click "PDA" button and select .tar file with app or ROM you want to flash
9. Press "Start"... and -after a quick, automatic reboot of your phone- you should be back in business... [yay!]
Thanks, guys!
Great that it worked!
