Just opened my new M8 and all was going well. Then I noticed that no one was receiving the MMS messages I was sending. Anyone else having problems with this? I found this post describing a similar problem, but the focus of the thread was on returning the phone to stock. Any help would be appreciated.

This may be Android/apps or simply the X10...
After upgrading to 2.1 I re-installed Handcent and sms work great. When I send an MMS however, it is always received twice by the recipient. I've rebooted, looked for any settings that may cause this but.. I am totally stumped.
Anyone ever heard of this? Tried googling but I cannot find anyone with the same problem...

I notice that when I send MMS to myself using the Handcent SMS app then I will have this double MMS problem but when I use the default SMS app then no problem.
I have tested the latest version of Handcent SMS app, version 3.5 which you can download from the market at this moment, no more double MMS problem.

I just upgraded the ROM on my HD2 to WWE_3.14.405.2. I am now receiving SMS delivery messages on every SMS sent. Tried to switch this off in the phone settings and by changing the settings in the registry but neither worked.
Anyone else get this problem with the latest ROM and more importantly, have you managed to switch off the SMS delivery reports? Any help with this would be appreciated.
PS If it helps, I'm with Virginmobile in the UK.

the cab file posted does fix the annoying notification but i suffered side affects. give the post a read and try it. can always unistall the cab file if you get the same problems as i did. hope that helps
There seems to be a size limit of 128kb on my incoming mms messages. I can send perfectly clear pics but cannot receive anything above this size. All incoming pics are compressed and blurry.
I have an optimus t (T mobile US) with megatron installed. I first noticed the issue when running void and then flashed megatron hoping this might solve the problem, but it didn't.
I'm 99.9% sure my apn settings are correct.
The issue occurs while using both stock messaging and handcent.
I've searched far and wide, but cannot find a clear solution to this problem.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I'm using an HTC One X+ on Airvoice with the ViperX custom ROM. The problem is, ever since I started using it, it hasn't received any SMS messages. It sends them perfectly fine, but when someone replies I don't get the text. A couple things are strange about this.
1. I get pictures. If someone sends me a photo with their text, I will get the photo but no actual text.
2. It makes the notification SOUND as soon as someone sends me something, but nothing shows up in Messaging. This is especially frustrating. I know this because I've tested it with other phones in the same room.
I found the appropriate APN settings for my phone on the Airvoice website for both WAP and MMS and tried them both. The WAP APN tends to work best so I'm using that. I've also tried putting the SIM card in another phone and back into mine, which I heard might solve the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Ok so I noticed the other day that some of wife's messages didn't make sense when I received them so we compared what she sent on her phone to what I received and it appears that I'm getting jumbled messages. I have tried 4 different messaging apps and every one of them do it. Can someone please help? Or is anyone else having the same problem?

I have at&t lg v10 running latest update.
Bump, anyone? My HTC didn't have this problem and I use my phone primarily for text and this issue is a deal breaker if i can't get it resolved.
