I'm having a few small problem with a feature I've added to a CM10.1 ROM for my device, the HTC Desire Z. The feature allows you to pick the colour of the status bar clock, yet it doesn't work perfectly: 1) the colour doesn't change immediately, you have to change the position of the clock first (e.g. if it was to the right, you'd have to pick the "No clock" option then pick the "right clock" option again, or if it was "centre clock" you'd have to move it to the right or disable and select the option you had selected previously. 2) also, not only is the status bar clock colour changed, but the clock on the notification pane (the larger clock which shows when you open notifications) is also coloured, which I don't really want.

I'd appreciate any help, you may have realised by now that I have no clue how to code in java

Where is the guide you followed.. This is all set up by code in the smali..
For it to change "on the fly" the code in the smali or the mod your reading has to allow for it..
As far as both clocks changing color.. It could also depend on the code, but it maybe an id problem as well... If the mod allows you to change both separately then I would look over the ids you changed in the smali to match your public.xml..
It could be that you link the same id for status bar clock and expanded status bar clock to the same exact Id.. So if one is changed so is the other

I have text under the icons, but the text is too high. The text overlaps a small part of the icon. Can't you set the height of the text, not the size?
I have already tried fewer colums/rows and and smaller icons don't help either. This is only when I have 'New Icons" checked in UI settings

I dont use it anymore but if I remember correctly, uncheck the second option right under New Icons should fix it.

flashed the latest oct 8th version on top of an earlier neatrom lite (4.8) and have an issue with the clock not appearing in the notification bar, in settings the colour of the clock is always black!! and cannot be changed, when i try to move the clock to centre or left then the other icons for signal and battery shift but the clock didgits do not appear, and help would be great.
Thumbs up to sale for a great rom.
Am too using the same version of neat rom mate. And u have to change the colour to white. Wat do you mean you can't change the colour of the clock?
thank you for your reply, in the settings menu display where the options are for clock i have clock style am/pm etc and so when i go into clock style and i select any of the options ie right, centre, or left i dont get the clock, also when i select clock colour i can use the colour picker but the "press on colout to apply" does not change and so the clock does not appear. the clock colour in the colour picker is a white cross hatch and does not change.
hold it, just found it, the slider for the transparency was on the far right and i missed it (need new glasses) i pushed it over to the left and the crosshatch then changed, thank you for your help, it was the "you have to change to white colour" comment that helped.

ive 5 apps that has an icon on statusbar but there is only place for 4 icons, so the icon of one app is not shown in statusbar, only in this dropdown notification center (or whatever the name is)!
so my question is:
How can i choose which icons are displayed in statusbar ( without closing them)???????

first install those apps which icons you want to display
and then install others
thank you for answering me, is there any other way? cause ive configured them and personalized them, i can kill one app then the icon that was not show will show now, but there must be a better way?!?
